Just a friendly heads up that this gym will try to keep billing you when you try to cancel your membership. You can sign up and give all your information to them at the gym itself but for cancellation it has to be by mail. I reached out to them by email 2x notifying them of the tracking number for certified mail of my cancellation. 16 days after receipt of delivery, they attempted to bill my card again. Luckily, I put a block on future transactions from LA Fitness on my American Express and they won't get another dime from me. Beware of their shady business practices. The gym itself is fine but like every other gym chain, they try to steal money from you.

Pile of dust with years in the making

Too many nonfunctional equipment with a label "scheduled for service". The labels have been there for months. The equipment that does work are rusty, old, and missing parts. I'm afraid I might get tetanus. It appears LA FITNESS only want to look like they have a gym instead of being a place for working out. However, this location is still better than it's crown location.

I have had lockers with secure locks broken into twice at the Quince Orchard location. I understand they have had other similar incidents.

Easy to talk to and also felt comfortable to be quiet, my haircut left me speechless, it was beautiful. You can also use the gym if you get a LifeSpa service that day -several options to get food, protein, etc if you need that -staff was friendly -towel service Cons:- I was overcharged for my tab at the pool, signage said $8 for Mango Cart but I paid like $12+tip -$200+ per month is just not in my price range -the number of weight machines seemed low compared to everything else, I went at 1pm on a Tuesday so I can only imagine how long I'd have to wait after 5pm. I was looking forward to relaxing my muscles and taking advantage of this amenity. Before I joined, Diana gave me a tour of all three floors and explained that there are four recovery rooms. She told me that if I wanted to use one of the recovery chairs, I could simply wait outside the room for the next available chair, and that each session is limited to 15 minutes per person. The Recovery Room was one of the features that most interested me when deciding to become a member. Unfortunately, my experience today was very disappointing. There were no clear instructions regarding how the waiting process works, and no staff member was present at the Recovery Room front desk to assist members. As a result, people were able to cut in line easily, making the process feel unfair. When I needed assistance, I was told to go all the way to the main front desk on the first floor, which was inconvenient and frustrating. In the end, I was unable to use a recovery chair despite waiting, and the overall experience left me very disappointed. I would appreciate it if Life Time could review and improve the management of this area by providing clear instructions, a fair queuing system, and better staff oversight. These improvements would help ensure that all members can enjoy the facilities fairly and have a positive experience.

How they modify the exercises for ALL members is the best part. For me, they give me suggestions to make them more challenging. For others, they'll have them lower the weights and do lower impact exercises to accommodate injuries and level of experience. Every workout is different, which keeps things interesting. The program is motivating and I can honestly say I get in just as good of a workout in 45 minutes here as I would in 1.5 hours on my own in a weight room. It's fast paced, but doable for everyone. The space itself is organized and clean. The members I've met are all friendly and the coaches are encouraging. This isn't an in-your-face bootcamp style gym. No intimidation tactics here! I can't recommend Foundry Fitness enough to anyone who wants to change up their boring, old workout routine or needs an extra kick in the butt.

We are reporting an assault that took place around 2:30 PM in the Women's Locker Room, and we are asking you to take decisive action against the woman who attacked Ruth. Ruth reported the incident to Wes, the Club Manager. Wes spoke to the attacker before she left the premises. We do not know her name or what she said, but Wes should have her contact information. Ruth also filed an Incident Report with the Montgomery County police. After that, we asked Wes what action he was planning to take. He indicated that he was documenting and reporting the incident "in case it happens again," but that he did not intend to take any action against the woman after this one incident. We consider this an unacceptable response. For this reason, we are writing to you under the assumption that you will agree to take more decisive action. Wes gave us your email address. Background Ruth has noted several times that women regularly wear street clothes and street shoes in the sauna. In addition to the fact that your posted policy does not allow this, Ruth knows that it is unhygienic and unsafe. We have attended other fitness clubs where this policy is enforced. Why isn't it being enforced at this club? Ruth has mentioned the problem to club staff on several occasions, but it seems that no corrective action has ever been taken. Recently, Ruth was advised by a front-desk staff member to politely ask the person to leave the sauna and also to report noncompliance to the front desk. On this particular occasion, Ruth made sure she had the front desk phone number so she could call from the locker room, if necessary. I am attaching a photo of the sign posted outside the women's sauna at this club. I am also including a statement we found on Google/AI that purports to be LA Fitness's policy statement and explains "why" you have this policy. The attached statement ends with the following: Violating these rules directly breaches your LA Fitness membership agreement. Club managers frequently monitor these areas, and tampering with equipment or disrupting others can result in the immediate suspension or termination of your gym membership. The incident Ruth reports that she went into the sauna around 2:30 PM, wearing her bathing suit and wrapped in her towel. There was a woman in street clothes and street shoes sitting on the top bench. Ruth mentioned to her that outside clothing and outside shoes were not allowed in the sauna. The woman said she had not seen anything about this in the sauna requirements. Ruth told her the restriction was included in the Sauna Rules that were posted on the outside wall. When the woman did not respond, Ruth stated that she was going to the front desk. The woman followed Ruth out of the sauna and trapped her against the wall in the locker room, opposite the sinks. She shoved her cell phone in Ruth's face and started recording. She accused Ruth of being a racist and carried on with abusive, accusatory language. In an attempt to diffuse the situation with lightness and to let the woman know how ridiculous her behavior was, Ruth gave her a "raspberry" with her tongue. The woman accused Ruth of spitting on her -- which Ruth says she did not do. The woman then hit Ruth forcefully on the side of her face with a wadded-up towel, knocking Ruth's glasses off her face and sending them across the floor. The blow to the side of her head was painful. The woman called her an "old, white racist." Ruth dialed 911, but had to hang up because she couldn't complete the call while being pinned and intimidated. She managed to free herself and got out of the locker room, but the woman followed her out into the hallway and continued to scream insulting, berating, and threatening comments at her. Ruth went to the front desk and asked a staff member to call 911; but at the same time, the 911 Non-Emergency Unit started calling Ruth back due to her previous incomplete call. Ruth answered their call and asked them to come out so that she could file a police report. Concurrently, one of the staff members interviewed the offending woman. However, by the time the police came, the woman had left the premises. Later, the police officer interviewed the two staff members as part of Ruth's incident report. We should mention that the woman did not physically touch Ruth with her own hands or body. Ruth felt stung on her face but was not physically bruised, and her glasses were not damaged. However, she has been experiencing PTSD-like reactions for the past several nights and is still quite shaken. Requested Action We are asking you to formally reprimand the woman who assaulted Ruth. She needs to be told that her behavior will not be tolerated. She should be banned from the locker room and the sauna for a period of time.

I am aware that my location is typically lower on pricing so there could be an up-charge, however, I am used to being notified of any charges that I would occur when I am checking in to a new location for the first time. The front desk person was cheerful, however, when she asked me for a credit card to just keep on file there was no mention of any charges I would incur and said no charges would be made, it was just to ensure a card was on file for future use. Apparently future used meant immediately after my class without notification. I don't remember who the coach was, but she was just OK. I understand most OT classes these days don't typically use the rower as much as they used to or at least that's what it seems. I always like to start on the tread or rower to get my heart rate up and get the most bang for my buck out of my OT workout. I don't know why they have you start on a rower or only to mention that you will be getting off a minute or two later and starting on the floor. It would be nice to know that when you sign up for your starting position before class starts. Once I noticed this, I mentioned I would prefer to switch to the tread, but the coach told me to proceed with the group I signed with and to go to the floor even though they were open treads. I've always had rather good experiences at any location I've been to as I travel a lot and like to check out gyms in other locations... So I will say this was a first to be disappointed by OT. If you're local, I'm sure it's fine... If you're traveling, I would maybe try a different location or at least beware that you will probably be charged without notification for whatever they decide that day.
