Just a friendly heads up that this gym will try to keep billing you when you try to cancel your membership. You can sign up and give all your information to them at the gym itself but for cancellation it has to be by mail. I reached out to them by email 2x notifying them of the tracking number for certified mail of my cancellation. 16 days after receipt of delivery, they attempted to bill my card again. Luckily, I put a block on future transactions from LA Fitness on my American Express and they won't get another dime from me. Beware of their shady business practices. The gym itself is fine but like every other gym chain, they try to steal money from you.

Pile of dust with years in the making

Too many nonfunctional equipment with a label "scheduled for service". The labels have been there for months. The equipment that does work are rusty, old, and missing parts. I'm afraid I might get tetanus. It appears LA FITNESS only want to look like they have a gym instead of being a place for working out. However, this location is still better than it's crown location.

I have had lockers with secure locks broken into twice at the Quince Orchard location. I understand they have had other similar incidents.

Pros: -the changing rooms are outfitted with lockers, toiletries, changing stall, showers, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and swimsuit drying machines -awesome indoor and outdoor pools, with a water slide, lots of padded chairs, and pool bar -day passes and guest passes available.. You can also use the gym if you get a LifeSpa service that day -several options to get food, protein, etc if you need that -staff was friendly -towel service Cons:- I was overcharged for my tab at the pool, signage said $8 for Mango Cart but I paid like $12+tip -$200+ per month is just not in my price range -the number of weight machines seemed low compared to everything else, I went at 1pm on a Tuesday so I can only imagine how long I'd have to wait after 5pm. Some things only had 2 of that machine, I expect more for the money paid.

I was looking forward to relaxing my muscles and taking advantage of this amenity. Before I joined, Diana gave me a tour of all three floors and explained that there are four recovery rooms. She told me that if I wanted to use one of the recovery chairs, I could simply wait outside the room for the next available chair, and that each session is limited to 15 minutes per person. The Recovery Room was one of the features that most interested me when deciding to become a member. Unfortunately, my experience today was very disappointing. There were no clear instructions regarding how the waiting process works, and no staff member was present at the Recovery Room front desk to assist members. As a result, people were able to cut in line easily, making the process feel unfair. When I needed assistance, I was told to go all the way to the main front desk on the first floor, which was inconvenient and frustrating. In the end, I was unable to use a recovery chair despite waiting, and the overall experience left me very disappointed. I would appreciate it if Life Time could review and improve the management of this area by providing clear instructions, a fair queuing system, and better staff oversight. These improvements would help ensure that all members can enjoy the facilities fairly and have a positive experience.

How they modify the exercises for ALL members is the best part. For me, they give me suggestions to make them more challenging. For others, they'll have them lower the weights and do lower impact exercises to accommodate injuries and level of experience. Every workout is different, which keeps things interesting. The program is motivating and I can honestly say I get in just as good of a workout in 45 minutes here as I would in 1.5 hours on my own in a weight room. It's fast paced, but doable for everyone. The space itself is organized and clean. The members I've met are all friendly and the coaches are encouraging. This isn't an in-your-face bootcamp style gym. No intimidation tactics here! I can't recommend Foundry Fitness enough to anyone who wants to change up their boring, old workout routine or needs an extra kick in the butt.

I would…read morerank this location above Planet Fitness, but below Lifetime (which is unaffordable for me at ~$200/month) or Onelife (~$50/month). It is pretty clean and has a few fun choices of classes. The instructors are energetic, and it seems the classes have their own little community, too. The staff is friendly and welcoming from my interactions with them. Some drawbacks are that the gym typically closes at 10 or 11, and I like to go later in the night, when it is less busy. During peak hours after work, this gym gets pretty crowded upstairs in the weightlifting section, and I notice that a lot of people can be impatient waiting for the machines, since there is only 1 or 2 of each. Also, the machines are not really upkept perfectly- there are numbers rubbing off to see how much weight you're lifting. As far as value and location goes, I would probably switch to PF or Onelife if I did not have the $28/month discounted price to LA Fitness. Do research to see what works for you.

I usually get to the gym before work around 5:30am so I'm not understanding how there's no soap in the restroom when the gym has just opened?? Makes no sense. There's poor ventilation so it always smells like BO in there. The staff just don't care at all, I've gone to the front desk and mentioned things and they are just so blasé about it. It's just become really ratchet so I had to leave & canceled my membership. I would not recommend this gym. If you want a nice gym, try Lifetime, Equinox, or Club Studio. Even Onelife is way better. Alex is unquestionably one of those rare trainers who understand both the psychological and practical aspects of training. He is quick to tune into the personalities of his clients and push/encourage them accordingly, and he isn't rigid in his training approach -- if you want to skip or modify an exercise, he is happy to adjust the workout. His compliments are genuine, and he never judges you for failing to finish an exercise, resting, or confessing to a bad week of eating. Finally, I enjoy the style of the workouts he provides for me. Lots of creative exercises and new twists, yet all very functional. And because his exercises tend to utilize multiple muscle groups, they provide a full-body workout -- you definitely get your cardio in addition to strength training, which is great for anyone who is crunched for time!

I have found recently that machines are broken more often than when I first joined. So that is annoying. I really wish they had a bigger space because when it is crowded it is impossible to do the machines you want to use. Also, now that they have the kids program in the summer there are a lot of teenagers who are taking up machines and not using them. The good thing that PF offers is the app so that you can see when the gym is crowded. I think they can do better to improve their equipment as some equipment are breaking and looking very raggedy. I really hope they make some improvements soon.

I asked the front desk if one TV could be changed, and they said only the manager could do it. When I spoke to the manager, he said it wasn't his decision--it was "corporate." I wasn't asking them to change every TV, just one. The FIFA World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world and only happens once every four years. It's disappointing that a gym with dozens of TVs can't dedicate just one to a major international event. The experience felt dismissive, with everyone passing the responsibility to someone else instead of trying to help. If you're someone who enjoys doing cardio while watching the World Cup, be aware that this location is no longer broadcasting the matches.

Sadly though the studio was farther and my schedule didn't line up. When my card expired, I told them to pause or cancel, figuring they couldn't charge so I was done for now. But the they called and said I owe for the month my card expired *and* the next month because of a 30-day cancellation policy--plus they threatened collections if I didn't come in to pay and cancel officially. Yes, I should've canceled sooner and I bet they have contracts and policies. But after years of being such a loyal advocate telling everyone how great it is and loving it myself , I would have appreciated a little flexibility. Maybe paying only one month when I was ready to cancel and bending the rule for me. I know they can they have specials all the time. Instead, they wouldn't budge, leaving a bad taste after so many positive experiences. If you're thinking of canceling, don't wait--do it right away or you'll pay for extra months. It's disappointing that a company I once loved would treat a loyal customer this way. Sadly, I don't think I'll be going back to this location if I ever want to go back.

I am aware that my location is typically lower on pricing so there could be an up-charge, however, I am used to being notified of any charges that I would occur when I am checking in to a new location for the first time. The front desk person was cheerful, however, when she asked me for a credit card to just keep on file there was no mention of any charges I would incur and said no charges would be made, it was just to ensure a card was on file for future use. Apparently future used meant immediately after my class without notification. I don't remember who the coach was, but she was just OK. I understand most OT classes these days don't typically use the rower as much as they used to or at least that's what it seems. I always like to start on the tread or rower to get my heart rate up and get the most bang for my buck out of my OT workout. I don't know why they have you start on a rower or only to mention that you will be getting off a minute or two later and starting on the floor. It would be nice to know that when you sign up for your starting position before class starts. Once I noticed this, I mentioned I would prefer to switch to the tread, but the coach told me to proceed with the group I signed with and to go to the floor even though they were open treads. I've always had rather good experiences at any location I've been to as I travel a lot and like to check out gyms in other locations... So I will say this was a first to be disappointed by OT. If you're local, I'm sure it's fine... If you're traveling, I would maybe try a different location or at least beware that you will probably be charged without notification for whatever they decide that day.
