The gym honestly is a pigsty. Looking for a dumbbell or any gym equipment is like going for a scavenger hunt. There is no organization or tidiness in here, pure chaos. The janitors are honestly old sweet people that come to work and still get overworked. They don't get paid enough to keep this gym afloat. Other than that it looks like all the employees are there to collect a paycheck. The trainers, if they're not on their phones they're flirting with the woman at the gym. The trainer comes up to these women and start distracting these people then whatever machine is being used won't become available for 30-45 mins. I will give the benefit of the doubt that there is enough parking outside and it's spacious. Other than that management needs to step up, if this is the best they can do then someone might need to get replaced to get this place looking decent. I've been to plenty of gyms to say that this is the nastiest of them all. Im definitely looking to switching gyms soon. read more

This is the worst-Gym ever it is messy and dirty at anytime of the day. Management does not listen nor cares to. Multiple complaints to gym manager , district manager and corporate with zero positive results. Equipment is old, damaged, rusted, and out dated. Dumbbells, plates spread throughout the gym floor, racks empty, all as early as 5 AM. Bathrooms are disgusting,. Empty used bottles and masks left on the floor for days. If I could go to another gym nearby I would but unfortunately this is the only one that works for me as far as distance before heading out to work but if you can help it do not join this gym absolutely the worst. read more

This gym is a free for all. No one understands the concept of reracking weights and it's not enforced by staff which is disappointing. The also don't enforce mask policies put in place to prevent the spread of covid. Put your mask over your nose bro. Both of these issues have to deal with a lack of awareness and respect for others but that's probably asking too much of a gym in Miami. On the plus side there's an open exercise area with turf and an area for Olympic lifts. Just get here early so you don't have to interact with the masses and you'll be alright. read more

Probably the cleanest la fitness I've seen. They are constantly cleaning it and the equipment for the most part is new. I love going to this location but the bad thing is.... so does everyone else. Doesn't matter what time I go this location is always packed. Even the classes are packed. I came to do my daily workout and was going to switch it up with a spinning class but the class was packed. So I decided to do some stairs. Also full. Man I had to do the elliptical machine and run. Which was ok. Did arms and free weights but also had to share. It was busy. And it was only 11am. Can't imagine at 4 how it would be. This location is far for me but it's a nice change every once in a while. read more

Came here while I was in highschool loved it. But lately, the gym is over crowded majority of the time, on weekdays late night no one is working the front so all these kids come to the gym to hang out and just stand all around the gym equipment without working out. The dumbbells, free weights, barbells are unfounded on the racks. Good luck finding the 45's or the 50's oh wait they're across the gym thrown in some corner because we don't enforce rules here. My friend gave me a 7 day free guest pass and when I went to go inside they told me to activate it and that's fine but then they tried to bait me to get a member ship and I said no but then they told me to pay 20$ a day for a free guest pass. Ok so this location has become a dump. It is impossible to walk around this place. People have become so rude, they use weights and leave them anywhere, which is a hazard. The bathrooms are really disgusting and the level of noice from the stupid spinning class is simply ridiculous. Some of us need a space to hear our thought or simply enjoy our own music, not the constant horrible noice of the screaming cycling so cold coach. So tired of the lack of consideration we are experiencing in this town, and specially of this gym. They should remove the manager and get people at the from deck to do more than just look at their phones. read more

I've been going here for years but it's just getting worst. Staff cannot control the crowd (mostly kids). Kids hugging the equipment and leave all the weights on the floor. Kids letting other kids on fire exits so obviously this kids that let them in and kids doesn't pay the membership doesn't care about the place. Been member of this gym for about six month now even though Ai have always been skeptical about large gym franchises. What I like about this gym is that it's in outskirts so it doesn't draw them huge crowds like other Gyms in city center. You can actually work out instead of standing in line waiting. This gym also has Olympic size pool, racketball, volleyball, basketball, steam, dry sauna and full locker and bath facilities. Staff has been very cool and they keep it very clean and for the moment haven't notice it being meat market like so other other clubs. Look forward to using this club more often.. read more

Haven't been to this location for some time now but I enjoyed making the trip here when I did (even though I have another way closer to me). It's very big, plenty of machines, good class schedules/variety of classes and daycare. My favorite classes are spinning, Zumba and anything that Marjorie teaches (awesome instructor and will definitely work you out!). read more

This gym was "it"' a few years ago, shortly after it opened. Over the years,it has begun to look run down (broken machinery, rusty, dirty). I also use the kids club. I only do mornings and I am usually ok with staff. I do wish they had narrower parameters for who they hire. I haven't had any issues recently, but there used to be an older woman (60's) who was really not all there to perform the tedious job of watching children, not was she very nice. I also wish they were more strict with their check in/check out process. Now a days, I have to tell them to take my # down, that should be standard practice. At check out, there should be something in place, right now, we just walk in a take child. At my church, they have a sticker that is given to child and another to parent. Both stickers are checked at time of check out. I usually work out in areas where I can see the exit of child's club, as I am not 100% satisfied with their processes. read more

Best LA fitness in the area. Environment: Usually crowded, especially the classes hosted there. Free weights are everywhere and super hard to find scattered around. Fairly clean gym and locker rooms / restrooms are always clean. Staff : Staff is always friendly and helpful. Especially the ones at the front desk. The lady who works at the shake counter always remember my typical order which is convenient. The workers who clean do a good job maintaining it throughout the entire gym. Layout: Most of the cardio machines that are not used for a class are on the second floor. The free weights are towards the back and I'd consider it a good size if it wasn't always crowded. The machines fill up the middle of the gym. There's a pool and a basketball court on the bottom level as well. Overall, I like coming to this gym out of all the LA fitness gyms in the area because of the layout of the exercising equipment but looking for weights that are ALL OVER is pretty obnoxious. read more

I got a 3 day pass and decided to check out the gym. When I got to the front desk I spoke with Sara F. Who told me they were at full capacity and that I had to pay $20 if I wanted to work out. I told Sara I had driven 30 minutes to get to the gym and that I didn't think it was fair to pay when I had gotten a 3 day pass. What really infuriated me was the lack of humanity from Sara and the fact that she couldn't care less about my time. That said, I will not be coming back to this location ever again. For a gym, it gets things done. My fav things about this place are: * Assortment of classes: if I want to shake my nonexistent booty to some zumba, I have zumba options. I also can find my inner zen mode by attending a yoga class. If I want to kill my legs, welllp, there's that spinning class I vowed never to take again - haha. * Time between classes during the day: I enjoy that the main zumba room is available in the afternoons if I want to get a quick HIIT routine in that doesn't require much beyond a mat and a mirror. Dumbbells are usually a pain to find, but that's more the fault of the users than the gym. People, please re-rack your weights! It'd be lovely. Thank you. :) I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so I also enjoy that they almost always have their hand sanitizer dispenser filled up as well as the cleaner, so that I can wipe things down if I want to. There are treadmills/ellipticals galore, and I've never had a problem with needing to get to one (although I also do my absolute best to avoid the prime time crush of people). Also, if you accidentally turn an ankle or cut yourself, you can also go to the main desk to ask for an ice pack or a bandaid. :) Go earlier than later to avoid having to wait for an absurd amount of time for the machine you want! read more

Let's start off with the fact that they steal money from you with "initiation fees" Then they have all those employees there who never pick up any weights or don't enforce that people put their weights back. It's like an EASTER EGG HUNT IN THERE. You might find your weights in the sauna or the basketball court or maybe at the bottom of the pool!! But I'll tell you where you won't find them...... ON THE RACKS! Besides that they can't make anything easy for you. Wanna cancel your membership? So you give them a call, and they'll tell you, that you have to come in and cancel it in person! RIDICULOUS!! On top of that you have to see the Manager just to CANCEL! This is my money I should be able to cancel whenever I want. Needless to say it's always a mission and half just to cancel with these guys cause the "manager" is always on "vacation" or "lunch" by far the worst gym you can be a part of. I can't stand gyms like LA. The meatheads, the pushy salespeople, the arrogant personal trainers... Unlike most people that come here, I like to work out when I go to the gym. I wanted to check out personal training services, but the jerk that I talked to commenced to show me pictures of a plastic swimsuit model in a calendar, and asked, "Don't you want to look like her?" I told him no, I just want to be healthy and get toned for my upcoming wedding. He gave me a huge attitude and made me very uncomfortable and annoyed. Besides that, what I like about LA is the variety of activities they offer- racquetball, spinning, a pool, etc. They have a good variety but it's really difficult to enjoy your workout when you're surrounded by Jersey Shore wannabees. read more

The biggest problem I have when going to gym is feeling TOO close to the person next to me while I lift weights. Thankfully, this gym gives you plenty of space and you don't have to feel like you're on top of each other. And it doesn't smell that bad, for a gym. It's usually cold when I go in! However, I do go at 5am when they open. The only problem I have, which is why I had to bump off one star, is their weights. They have them all over the place and even at 5am. I would expect the staff to arrange the weights at night so the next day they start fresh and organized, however this gym is lacking in organization. Overall, it's better than any other LA Fitness in Miami because all the other gyms I've been too, other people have been in my bubble while I workout. But I never have that problem here! read more

I've probably spent more time in the gym than any other place outside of work and my house. That's a crazy thing to think about it, but it's true. I've averaged 3-4 gym visits per week for years, and it's totally an addiction. I've taken as much as 9 months off in the past, and never again. Now having LAFit out in the West Kendall area is a nice bonus. I had gone to one years ago and back then you needed to get locked into a year contract. Now you can get a month to month, pay as you go deal. I was able to get a good rate after working with the staff for a few minutes, and I am a happy camper. The beauty of LA is that you have a full on fitness club - gym experience. There are a variety of classes throughout the day, including kickboxing, yoga, cycling, etc. I haven't even tried a class yet, but I will soon. The machines are new and in large supply. There's also a huge assortment of cardio machines, including some old school stair climbers (with real rotating steps - nice). There's a generous section of free weights, and I'd say my only complaint so far is that you can tell no one is very organized in keeping the weights in place. I'm sure it's a good chunk of the members which don't know how to put things back, but I also doubt that things are put away at the end of the day by staff based on the time of morning I show up. I've seen some other reviews which mention pushy sales people and trainers. Hey, there is a little bit of a sales vibe when you sign up, but I never talked to a personal trainer and don't plan to.I stick to business, and if you check out the 5:45AM spin class, you'll realize there a lot of other people here who are straight focused on getting in the best shape they can. Maybe it's coincidence, or motivation from being around other people pushing hard, but it's a pleasure to have this as my gym and I still have a lot more to explore. read more

I'm changing my rating to one star because the gym apparently has the unsafe practice of completely turning off the lights without warning at closing time. I was in the middle of a squat set when all of a sudden it became pitch black. I was stuck in the position for at least 20 seconds because I didn't want to take a step forward and risk injury. Only after the lights came did they warn about the "automated" lights shutting down again. This practice is just begging for an injury lawsuit. Get your act together. read more

The machines are always taken, guys take over the weight room, and everyone is WALKING on the treadmills. If you're here during the less popular hours, then you might actually get lucky.
