I was craving a tres leches cake and I had to return it because it was sooo dry ! Won't be coming here ever again ! 30 dollars for a dry cake not worth it when I asked for a refund they looked at me like I was stupid it was so dry my finger went through the cake like nothing

If you're like me in that your favorite part of concha bread is the sweet sandy topping then you'll enjoy the concha bread here. The topping is laid on really thick! Not the softest concha bread that I've had though but still beats concha bread at a grocery store. As for other items that I tried here, the polvorones cookies had a good slight chew to them (though were a little dry around the edges.....might be more of a nitpick from me as I've had polvorones cookies from another panadería that tasted like they were fresh out of the oven). The niño envuelto cake slices were spongy-soft but could've had more fruit flavoring. What I really like about this panadería is that the fruit jelly used as filling is really smooth and not as gloopy as the one at other panaderías. In fact, the pineapple-jelly-filled concha bread is amazing and is the best pan dulce that I tried here (look for yellow oblong conchas in the display case). Biggest gripe about this panadería is that instead of tongs you use disposable parchment squares to grab the pan dulce from the display cases. I can't do my tong test to see how squishy (and therefore fresh) the pan dulce are! Gotta commit when selecting. Overall one of the better panaderías that I've been to and based on the constant in/out foot traffic that I saw here it seems to be loved by locals (and understandably so!).

On a recent road trip we asked a local restaurant for the best Panaderia and they suggested La Flor. What an amazing place. Cleanliness is appreciated , it was so clean. Variety, hot and fresh, we were there on a Saturday around 3. The staff was filling the cases with all kinds of delicious treats. There are also available, aprons, TALAVERA, and imported goods from Mexico. There are candies and many bakery items in the cake and postre section as well. We miss the authentic Panaderias from Mexico, you do an amazing job in your bakery. Highly recommend this establishment.

My mom & I came in looking for our favorite Mexican bread because our spot is in Oakland and living in Stockton it's hard to drive 1.5 hours for Mexican bread, but our place is definitely worth it! Would just be nice to find a place near us now. We came in, the lady was barely stocking the store.. they didn't have much, but the SMELL in this bakery was legit! It was warm and smelled like I just wanted to take a bite out of a piece of bread! It was super small and not the cleanest and kind of just all over the place but I will definitely come back to try them out! We didn't end up buying anything, because they didn't have the bread we were looking for, but they do have a lot of spices and stuff! I will be be back another day probably earlier in the morning to see if maybe then they have the bread we want. If not then just to try the other ones. Staff was also nice. The girl answered all our questions and they have their own private lot so plenty of parking!

And thats all I have to say about that....

The mexican style bread is as close as you can get from Mexíco, but I'm giving it 3 stars because I ordered a cake for my son's birthday in which they didn't make it to order, we told them to put a picture and when I pick it up it was just a simple all white color cake with the words "Happy Birthday". We got our money back, so questions ask If you gonna order a birthday cake form here just make sure they double check your order. read more

What else, besides five stars, can I give a brand new family run business that is open till 9 PM and still has a selection of pastries left?! I believe they've only been in business a few weeks. I have to thank my Yelp friend, Jessica, for bringing this business to my attention. She found it on Yelp a couple of days ago. After seeing her photos and reading her description I just knew that I had to try it when I was in the area. A buddy and I were on our way back from Sacramento tonight and I kept thinking about Mexican pastries! At 45 minutes before closing time, I expected they would be locking the doors on us and there would not be much of a selection for us to choose from. I was wrong on both counts! The store was actually crowded and they had a huge assortment of pastries. You pick up a tray and a set of tongs and go to work choosing what looks good to you. We wound up with a box of assorted goodies. That box full cost less than $7! Reasonable prices! This habit could be detrimental to my waistline. Oh well... Next we had to figure out how soon and where we could eat these pastries. So we searched for a Starbucks that was open late. Found one on West Kettleman. Ordered coffee and sat outside with the box of pastries and enjoyed. I wish this business much success. It appears that they're doing very well. If these pastries look at all tempting to you I would recommend a visit. Friendly, awesome over the top family run! read more

So nice and clean, employees were very helpful and the bread is soft and good! Every time I go there's always a warm welcome and thank you on the way out. We come here about once a week my boyfriend loves the bread it's so authentic and incredible. I tell everyone I know about this place! They even sell cakes, piñatas and candy and also sell ice cream to top everything off!! This bread reminds me of childhood and it can't get any better than that! read more

I wouldn't recommend doing any business with this place. My brother ordered a cake from here to pickup at 8am. I went to go pick it up showed them the receipt, once the girl started walking around " looking for it" I knew they didn't make it. She came back to tell me that they just texted my brother that if he can pick it up around 9 or 9:30 but that it wasn't guaranteed that it would be ready at that time. I told her if they could call my brother and explain that to him because he wanted to speak with them as I had him on the phone the whole time. She said no that either I can pick it up or get a refund later. So I told them no to just give me my money back because the whole point it was for a surprise by 9am. I bought some bread and she told me they had a tresleches cake available if I wanted something quick to take. I ended up getting that small cake which she gave me 50% off so I only payed $11. Whatever I took it. They then decided to message my brother at almost 11am telling him his cake was ready for pick up. My brother let them know he didn't want it etc. then they proceeded to lie and tell him that they compensated me and gave me the cake I took for free. LOL LIARS! I have my bank statements of when I payed for all the bread then I payed the cake in cash. Keep in mind I have never ever been to this place before so come on??! They couldn't own up to not making a cake then on top of that they didn't fail to mention to my brother that his cake was ready but that he would have to pay the $70 again they're greedy people, and basically crooks. They don't care they just want your money. TO TOP IT OFF WE CUT INTO THE CAKE WE BOUGHT AND IT WASNT EVEN TRESLECHES. Horrible place a bunch of liars. read more

This panaderia just open last month in Lodi on the corner of Hutchins St and Harney Lane hidden in a little shopping center on the corner..it's a small family business.. today a man and his teenage son were running the place. It's very clean and it's a semi open kitchen so u can see them make the pan dulce. I got fresh WARM bread and it was so good. The boy said they make fresh bread all day. It's worth the drive to check them out and give them some support. Open 5am-9pm Monday thru Friday. 7am-8pm Sat and Sunday read more

It's worth the drive and waking up early! This is what bread is supposed to be... it is buttery soft and taste is incredible... I've only been used to rancho San Miguel and good for less breads we didn't have a real panadería in Lodi (that I knew of) until now!! They make cakes too which I tasted and it was really good! read more

This can't be healthy. This is the best Mexican bread I have ever had in my life. The bread is so soft and fresh! They carry a variety of pastries which includes cookies, custom cakes, tres leches, jellos, and of course a variety of breads. Many businesses have came and gone at this location but I hope this one is here to stay. Hope you enjoy this mouth watering experience as much as I did read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about this Mexican panadería. We recently discovered it and now it's our weekly stop for panecito. We picked up our Rosca today and they were out of the cream cheese filled ones. They quickly remedied the problem. Not only is their pan fresh and tasty they have the friendliest and fair customer service. Their automated coffee machine is not the best, and it would be great if they sold fresh cafe. However, their specialty is pan and I love it! read more

Parking was pretty easy on the street and it was pretty lively when I walked in! Their pastries looked delicious. I decided to go with a plain croissant and a cold brew. Service was just ok... the cashier seemed a bit busy or distracted. Plenty of seating inside! I asked them to warm up my croissant and it was perfectly flaky, buttery and delicious. the cold brew was good and strong! I would definitely return for some of their lunch options when I'm back in town.

Everyone's so nice and always ready to help you. If you find yourself near here, pop in for a sweet treat. Not only is it worth the stop, but you deserve it!

The cake was moist, flavorful, and the strawberry filling was delicious, which is why we decided to order a 6 inch birthday cake for $90. Unfortunately the first custom cake was extremely dry. Nobody at the birthday party wanted to eat it, which was disappointing considering the price. We contacted the bakery, and to their credit they offered to remake the cake, which I genuinely appreciated. When we picked up the remake, the cake box had been taped shut and the frosting had smashed onto the top of the box, so I had to scrape frosting off the lid and put it back onto the cake myself. It wasn't a huge deal since it was just for family, but it didn't feel very carefully handled. The bigger issue was that the remake still wasn't made correctly. The original order was white cake with fresh strawberries and strawberry filling/purée in the middle. The remake had fresh strawberries but regular frosting filling instead. The cake itself was much better this time and not dry, but it still wasn't what we ordered. I do appreciate that they tried to fix the mistake, and their individual cake slices and cupcakes are honestly really good. But after receiving one dry cake and then a remake that was made incorrectly and packaged carelessly, I don't think I'd order another special occasion cake from here again.

We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. In addition to the olive oil tasting set, there were some brunch items such as a crostini and salad as well as a Mediterranean plate with hummus. We opted for the crostini, olive oil tasting and a cappuccino. The jalapeño olive oil was unique and flavorful enough that we bought a couple bottles of it to take home. The pear vinaigrette was thick and tangy. The waitresses were friendly and helpful when we had a couple questions about the dishes. The shelves in the shop area is full of flavored olive oils and vinaigrette as well as ceramic and a whole slew of items for serving charcuterie. If you are a fan of olive oil and are planning on a trip up to Sacramento or Lake Tahoe, would definitely recommend stopping by to check out Calivirgin.

Our guests loved being able to spread out, relax, and enjoy themselves. The wines were a huge hit with our group. My family absolutely loved the Symphony (what I like to call a "beginner's wine" because it's so approachable and easy to enjoy). My personal favorite was the Zinfandel, with the Cabernet as a close second. The Red Blend and Syrah were also excellent. Honestly, all of their reds were fantastic. While I'm not typically a white wine drinker, I appreciated the variety they offer. One of the things I appreciated most was how easy everything was. I asked for more sauce because I wanted to take a bath in it. I usually skip rice, I ate it all - so much flavor. The beans too - too delicious to be vegetarian - so I didn't ask, and I'll never regret. This place is legit - and I am sorry I ever doubted. If I could give them zero stars I would !!! The girls in the cashier have the worst costumer service ever. They are rude, they have an attitude and they will never accept their mistakes. I bought a Rosca and drove all the way from south Stockton, when I arrived, there was a worker helping the customers choose the kind of rosca they wanted so I asked her for one that had no filling just a plain one, and she said that any roscas that had their business card stapled to the box were plain. So I grabbed one and I asked her if she was sure that it was plain because last year I bought a plain one and when I got home it was filled with apple. She said I'm sure these are all plain, so I paid for it and drove 30 minutes to get home and what's my surprise?! It had cream cheese feeling!! I was so upset, I tried calling them 4 times but no answer so I drove back over there and to my surprise the girl at the front was super rude and she ignored me until I told her that I wouldn't leave until she replaced my rosca for a plain one. So with a big attitude she started picking the roscas that she thought were plain and guess what? They all had filling! So she went to the back and came back with one that they checked and made sure it was plain, so I went to my car and I was fortunate that my husband remembered to bring a knife, I cut into it to make sure and it was filled with cajeta!! I go back in and told her, she was already upset so this was epic!! She turns into a monster and started yelling at a guy that was preparing cakes to take over the register because she was going to check "all" of the roscas to find one plain. There were about 30 per table and there were 4 tables. So she started cutting through about 5 of them and they all had filling. I was frustrated and upset because my family was waiting at home for their plain rosca, and this irresponsible people had no idea what they are selling or doing. Clearly when you have had a business for this long it's to be expected to do things right and mark your roscas correctly.She ended up calling the grandma from the back to try to solve the problem; while the grandma was on the phone with one of the owners (her son) the girl was still grabbing and cutting more and more roscas but man was she mad! I told the lady to just give me the cream cheese one that I had originally purchased and to refund me for all the trouble they made go through and they said no! If I wanted a rosca I would have to choose one with filling and pay full price for it!! What kind of customer service is that?? They clearly are just money hungry they don't care about their customers at all! I was a faithful customer for years now but now with this experience and all the past bitter moments that the cashiers made me go through I will never come back nor will recommend them to anybody!! Beware they will charge you whatever amount they want and won't even give you a receipt, and if you ask for one it doesn't specify the individual price for each bread. Plus they told me las week that the roscas were going to be priced at $16 and today they charged me $18.50. Horrible experience! read more

The bread is good and it's probably better than what they have at rancho san miguel. I just wish they would stop filling every damn bread with cream. I cant stand the cream filling they put on every mexican bread they have it's already sweet no need to make it sweeter but i guess the baker must have a sweet tooth read more
