I went to the La Fresa Brawley location and I was highly disappointed. I purchased teas, a fruit salad and carne asada fries. The teas were good however the rest was not. The fruit salad was rancid and smelt like crayons. The carne asada fries were dry and didn't have anything on them so imagine my disappointment when I found out these were 10 whole dollars. When I called to inform them, they were nice about it and offered to remake it free of charge. The location itself was nice and cleanly. I probably will be coming back but not purchasing those items again. read more

Went for what I thought would be a delicious salad but half way through it found a disgusting dead bug in my salad. Sent the restaurant a message about it and haven't heard a thing. This isn't the first time I've heard people getting sick from here or people having bugs in their salad. I should've known! Kinda had a bad feeling about it before even eating but just wanted to give it a try! If this bug was in the salad and dead it means everything else was contaminated and they fed it to other people. Finally made it to this place after moving awhile back ago. They have a lot on the menu and not sure where to get started. The menu does change, so it's hard to read it. No descriptions on what each consist of. But I did get the strawberry banana shake. It was good. The inside is very cool on a hot sweaty day. Really a good refresh. Staff seemed friendly. The lady in there was really nice and interacted with me instead of just grabbing my order and not speaking. I'll come back for the food another day. Might have to ask what's in everything. Here's what makes this place stand out: the chicken wrap. They have a small assortment of finger foods such as asada fries and nachos, along with salad bowls and plates but the wraps are the best. You have onions, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, pasta, bell pepper, cheese, jalapeños and probably a few other options I've missed. It's all topped off with an avocado or chipotle sauce (yes you can mix them!) wrapped in a green tortilla. Delightfully fresh and tasty. Pros: plenty of parking Cheap/affordable Clean Cons: menu isn't overly simplified in English. May be a tad daunting to order a combo raspado, but just ask, they're very friendly. I love ice cream and frozen yogurt, duh. On a hot day when I am home there is nothing like going to this place for a raspado (crushed ice with a flavored juice) I have not been able to find a place in San Diego like this and it makes me very sad, there are some but they absolutely do NOT taste like these. Not only does this place have an assortment of flavors (natural fruit flavors, bubble gums, concentrated flavors) But they sell salads, fruit salads, flaming hot cheetos with nacho cheese (so bad for you lol) churritos with lemon, ice cream, and so on. The workers over there seem to hate their job and life for that matter but hey at least the things you order are so good and worth it. Order the cajeta raspado and you can thank me later. read more

I like this place but their customer service needs a lot of work. I say this with respect and without trying to put anyone down but they need to work on getting more people to serve and ring up. I sometimes only get 15min breaks and I work right across the street. It sometimes takes me around 25min to order and get my food or drink. I know they're trying but they do need help in getting more employees. read more

Great time's at Cuchis it's the best place to be in specially in summer. They offer great variety of flavors and different junk food's lol. In the winter time they even have Tamales and Champurrados which for me it's always a must:) They do have different locations in the valley so the menus may very depending on location. For all the people that live out side the imperial Valley I will recommend it the only thing I must highlight are the prices, I've paid up to $26 in one visit which I don't complain because it was worth it. Worst of the worst service and food I've ever had! The last time I went there we spent over $60 and we ended up throwing all the food out . The super Clamato drinks were disgusting and the taco plates and burrito plates were so gross nobody ate any of it. The avocados were limp and black and there was this soggy red onion looking thing side dish or garnish I don't know what it was ugh all the tortillas were burnt so ugly and they looked old and dried up I think they were leftovers or something . This place is a great place to stop for some raspados or spicy drinks. They also have food like tacos and nachos that are pretty good. It's a little far into town, but worth it if you need a good drink and have time. For raspados, they have raspados naturales as an option. Okay...so this WAS my second favorite acai bowl in the valley. So I stop in (rushed from work to make it on time) and went to the front door at 8:50 (they close at 9 pm). And they all acted like I was invisible at the front door. There were about 3 customers inside. Two were just looking at me laughing. Then I drove to the back to try and I knocked ans NOTHING. Then another lady drives up ans they looked at her and opened the door and told her they were closed. WOW. So I would love for the owner to take a second to reply. Because I will go every single day to el Centro from Brawley to spend my money. Something is happening in the valley that people think it's okay to have crappy customer service. All they had to say was "sorry were closed". Otherwise post 8:45 as your closing time. But the pretend like I'm invisible....not cool. Stores act like we don't have an option to go somewhere else. fairly representative of some good distinctively Mexicali style foods which are very refreshing on hot days.. mango loco is wonderful!!!! my favorite is cacahuates locos! a number of things with clamato, cucumber, onion, and chile combined with something : pork skins (cueritos) , great tasting toasted peanuts (cacahuates), shrimp, usually with chamoy ( made from pickled fruit with chile).. they have good fruit salad with granola and honey (ensalada de fruta) and various shaved ice drinks.. at lunchtime they serve tacos (the carne asada tacos are awesome) and tortas too i believe. they also serve a grilled chicken salad.. pretty popular place with the young crowd (high school or just past) and open fairly late by Brawley standards... they have aguas frescas too.. available seating is often full in evening. I have eaten here countless times in my 2 months in Brawley and never regretted it.. my complaints are that cleanliness of the dining area is sometimes an issue (I never see them wiping down the tables) and that they really could use a little more seating, but they don't really have room for more inside and it is too hot in summer in the I.V. to sit outside until after dark in any case. reasonable prices, very fresh food. read more

The reason Im giving them 2 stars is because of the service, I went in there today and it was fairly empty just one other person waiting for their food and about 4 people working. As soon as I walk in the lady in the front stares at me and doesn't say anything. I go up to order and she keeps doing what she was doing completely ignoring me. I stood there for about 10 minutes until she comes and takes my order, now two people behind me. Maybe she didn't want to take my order until more people came in? Who knows but whatever I said no worries. I order a salad and go to salad area, where 3 ladies where working, no one else in line. I stood there for 5 minutes, and one of them looks at me but doesn't say anything, and keeps doing what she's doing, I stand there for 5 more minutes, by this time I was already annoyed. The ladies kept talking to each other without saying anything to me. Then one of them stares at me and says are you waiting for a salad? I said yea... (Why else would I stand there with a ticket in my hand?) Finally she comes and makes my order. I work in customer service so I get it, it sucks sometimes but seriously this was horrible service.
