Dipping sauces were all great. Sesame oil, samjang blend, a sweet and spicy sauce. Meat: enjoyed the brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef finger meat, Hawaiian pork belly. Case in point: many years ago I made a lamb cake for Easter. Growing up, my grandmother had always made one and I thought it would be fun to try. My young adult children at the time, named my creation a "Rat Cake." I can see how they might have come up with that. I used chocolate sprinkles as whiskers and now that I think about it, I don't think a lamb even has whiskers! :-) For the past couple of years I have gone to Cake Carousel for help in picking up the needed supplies to make a decent looking Easter lamb cake. My result has not been laughed at so, I'll take that as a win! Their tub of whipped buttercream is perfect! Not too sweet, reasonably priced and it spreads on great. They have precious candy flowers that instantly elevate your cake. The grandkids even had fun helping me decorate! I love this tradition that I'm able to carry on with my own grandkids, just as the happy memories I have with my grandmother so many years ago. Cake Carousel makes it happen!

I had never heard of them before and yet I learned they have locations across the US, Canada, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe. In fact, they have over 400 stores, on 4 continents and in 12 countries. My wife got the Mango & Passion Fruit Tea and although I came to get tea too, I ordered gelato! I got to choose 2 flavors, Oreo Cookie and Vanilla Bean. The Oreo Cookie was delicious, and while the Vanilla Bean was good from a flavor perspective there was a stringy texture to it that I could not get past, so I did not eat that portion. The ambiance here is great. It is almost spa-like. They had pleasant relaxing music playing and had comfortable seating areas. It's a great place to grab something to go or to sit and relax/work for awhile!

The kitchen doesn't ventilated well unfortunately, because when we were all making our steaks, it got really smoky, so hopefully that's something they can address. Otherwise, great time.

I had nitro ice cream in Miami once and it changed my life. I've been dreaming about that Nutella…read moreflavor ever since--so naturally, I asked my husband to take me here for my birthday. Holy mother of Moses... I could eat that Nutella nitro ice cream every single day. No regrets. The place wasn't too busy, but we did have to wait a bit--some bigger groups were ahead of us, waiting on their frozen delight. While we waited, we started chatting with one of the groups and found out we shared a birthday! After we got our glorious ice cream, we sat outside and that same group came out and asked me to take a photo of them. Then their mom took a photo of me and her son--because, you know, birthday twins! It was such a sweet moment. I love connecting with strangers, and we were laughing so hard it made the whole experience even better. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed--nice, but short on words and not super chatty. Still, they got the job done and handed me my Nutella masterpiece, so I'm not mad. I love love my ice cream made this way. It's my absolute favorite. It doesn't melt as fast as regular ice cream, and watching them make it is half the fun. I actually passed this place the other day and thought... maybe it's a sign I should go back? I hate mushrooms but they were seamlessly mixed in to where i didn't even taste them ! The vegetarian egg rolls were exactly as described : crispy, hot and golden. I'd go back for those alone but honestly, the food was so good, my friend --who is a vegetarian btw -- loved them and her meal and the portion sizes are definitely big enough for leftovers. It's hard to find Real carbonara out anymore. I don't know if it's the eggs in there that restaurants or people are worried about it but I don't have a problem with that at all. All that said, this was a great dish. Had the chicken carbonara with fettuccini and it could not have been done better. It was a special that night and I hope the put it on the menu permanently. Drinks were good as well. I'll be back. More often if carbonara gets on the menu :-)
