Server was very polite but it was obvious they were understaffed by a lot. 1 server and whole restaurant was full. Regardless, server did a great job keeping up. Food: Side dishes: the kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spicy fish cake were great. The salad was okay. The japchae noodles were mediocre. And the pickled daikon didn't taste like they used much vinegar. Dipping sauces were all great. Sesame oil, samjang blend, a sweet and spicy sauce. Meat: enjoyed the brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef finger meat, Hawaiian pork belly. Service was great for an Asian restaurant! Our waiter got our requests out fast and had us changing out our grill frequently. The restaurant is in an old building in a strip mall so feels a little grungy but floors (maybe newly done?) were slippery. Food itself was decent. We paid $3 extra per person for the shrimp and beef short ribs. Kids under 4 eat free and kids under 10 are half off. Because it's an all you can eat, we definitely ate until we were satisfied. My brother and sister brought me here, and I'm glad they did. I've been to their sister location in Richardson. This one is the original, and it has a completely different vibe. When you walk in, you're greeted, and the atmosphere is great. It's a small, cozy spot, which I really like. They do get pretty busy on weekends, especially during dinner time, so it's a good idea to call and double-check. They also accept reservations. The food was excellent; everything came out perfectly and tasted delicious. My favorite was the bulgogi--it was nice and tender. This is a great hidden gem. I had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon and it was not as busy as I thought it would be. The service was very friendly and attentive. The sides are delicious I enjoyed the glass noodles and kimchi. The bulgogi was very tender but my favorite cut was the beef belly with the dark orange sauce they offer. The banchan (side dishes) included at the table are lettuce with a basic vinagrette, daikon radish thinly sliced, cucumber kimchi, kimchi, fish cake in a spicy sauce and japchae. All standard, nothing special. They don't offer any other hot sides such as potstickers, fries or even rice paper. With that being said, the proteins we ordered were of high quality and consistent which I appreciated. The beef belly was very good, dip it in the sesame oil and salt! Spicy pork belly was very delicious on its own as well as the hawaiian pork belly. LA galbi and beef finger meat was also delicious, you can't get kbbq without getting LA galbi so the Full AYCE option is the only way you should go to eat here. Half of my friends said the spicy shrimp was really good and the other half said it was too salty. Overall, the service was good and the meat was good quality, they also split the check for you if you ask! My go to KBBQ AYCE in Dallas - the best combination of quality and value that still hasn't been beat year after year. Sure there are higher quality a la carte places, but you paying $$$. There's a time and place for both imo, and Woo Mee Ok is it for AYCE value. Personally I go for unmarinated meats and can eat beef belly and brisket alllllllllll day. But if I'm feeling flush with cash to pay that extra $3 (which isn't that much more) I'm always down for their extra menu. Beef finger is tender and the shrimp are low key the MVP surprise. Lemon pepper is great. Shrimp quality is surprisingly good for KBBQ, speaking as someone that rarely orders seafood at KBBQ since it's usually bad. PLUS I love this place because they can give you large orders of the banchan. They are real homies for sure, great service knowing that I want that large fish cake and radish side dishes. Most places don't even have fish cake anymore but they dish it out in mountains over here. Servers are always really nice and helpful. Last time I went I did the rookie move of cooking marinated meat before my unmarinated and the server saw the marinade start to burn on and offered to change the grill even though it wasn't that bad yet. Going the extra mile here. Woo Mee Ok is a treasure that deserves all the support and business. We were seated in booths, and it's truly a homey vibe. Joey was our server, and he constantly kept refilling our sides, sauces, and drinks! We opted for the $26 option, and it was enough! We got brisket, beef belly, pork belly, squid, and hawaiian belly for our meats. All great! We also got steamed egg and seafood tofu soup. Having spent most of my life between Los Angeles and San Diego, I've had my fair share of Korean BBQ, and I have to agree with many others: Woo Mee Ok ranks above the vast majority of KBBQ joints back in California. The beef brisket and beef belly were both excellent -- high quality cuts, not overly fatty or too lean, just right. Their marinades are spot on too -- rich and flavorful without being overpowering or too sweet. The spicy squid was tender and well-seasoned. The seafood tofu soup was also a highlight -- clean broth, shrimp and clams perfectly cooked, no rubbery texture or fishy aftertaste. Jasmine rice was fluffy and fragrant. Banchan came out fresh and fast, and refills were generous. Service? Excellent. Our waitress was on top of everything -- she noticed when our meat was almost done and checked in to see if we wanted to place our next order, and when she saw I was getting tired from manning the grill, she stepped in to help so I could just sit back and enjoy the food. This is our first time at Woo Mee OK Korean BBQ. We went around 7 on Sunday. It's connected to some other stores. Parking was actually really tight which kinda made me want to park kinda far away from others because it was a little tight . We were greeted instantly by the person at the front counter which was real cool. It was a packed house, but no line. They went to go set up our table which took like a solid minute. When we sat down, we had our side dishes, utensils, and grill set up. Aesthetics were nice. Our server was real cool. He explained every single side dish, and how the menu worked. That was real cool of him. He mainly refilled our drinks, our (3 at a time) meats, and side dishes. Another server helped changed our grill. He also said we could do a half order of meats because the full portion is actually a lot. Woo Mee doesn't have a huge selection of meats to choose from, but the best in the menu is definitely the bulgogi, LA Galbi, and beef fingers. The pork belly was alright. We usually never get the lemon pepper shrimp, but it was pretty good. The place has a real nice Asian aesthetic to it. The gas lines to the burner should have a form of cable management. Compared to all of the AYCE experiences I have had with korean BBQ, this one felt the best bang for my buck. For (at this moment) 30 dollars, all you can eat bbq, premium edition. You are silly to get standard since its only a 4 dollar difference. The bonchon is tasty, the meats come out at a reasonable pace, and our server even told us dont worry if we over order! The galbi and pork belly are of course fantastic, but I was surprised on how good the shrimp was! Interior wise, it feels like you are in somebodys home. I personally dont mind this, but it definitely lacks any romance that maybe the other places could have (specifically Gyu Kaku or Manpuku). This is probably my top places to get KBBQ, especially if just want to stuff meat to your face for cheap. Dallas has so many options for KBBQ. Some of those options might give you better ambiance or better selections. This place won't give you either. What it will give you instead is consistency and more bang for your buck. As others reviewers have mentioned, this place might seem a bit rough. It's not fancy (and kinda holy in the wall-y), but it's serviceable. It's also weirdly located I feel. To me, that's part of the charm. But don't let the appearance fool you. Every time I came here (even on weekdays), it's always packed, so I suggest making a reservation beforehand. Service is not terrible. Unfortunately, this is the one part that's slightly imperfect. I came here multiple times, and I'd say service is good if not terrific about 80% of the time. The other 20% is still acceptable, but can get annoying if you're just hungry meats. Lastly, let's get into the food. You really only have two options: regular or premium. The regular will give you brisket, pork belly etc. The premium will give you the option to order rib meat, galbi, and some seafood if I remember correctly. Either option is really cheap. Regular is $26-27, while premium is $29-30 (all before tax and tips). I do love that they give us the options because some days I just want brisket and pork belly. The banchan is not bad. It's nothing to write home about, but it's there to help you stuff more meat. In short, come here if you want AYCE KBBQ on the cheap and if you don't mind limited meat selection. read more

Really grateful this restaurant was open on Thanksgiving day! Was coming from a long drive down from San Antonio, TX and our family was excited to take us here. Upon arrival the staff were super kind and friendly and quick to have us seated.
