Server was very polite but it was obvious they were understaffed by a lot. 1 server and whole restaurant was full. Regardless, server did a great job keeping up. Food: Side dishes: the kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spicy fish cake were great. The salad was okay. The japchae noodles were mediocre. And the pickled daikon didn't taste like they used much vinegar. Dipping sauces were all great. Sesame oil, samjang blend, a sweet and spicy sauce. Meat: enjoyed the brisket, beef belly, pork belly, beef finger meat, Hawaiian pork belly. The Galbi marinade would have been better with the finger meat marinade. Overall had a great meal and would come again. Hopefully will be better staffed next time!

The restaurant is in an old building in a strip mall so feels a little grungy but floors (maybe newly done?) were slippery. Food itself was decent. We paid $3 extra per person for the shrimp and beef short ribs. Kids under 4 eat free and kids under 10 are half off. Because it's an all you can eat, we definitely ate until we were satisfied. Unfortunately after an AYCE KBBQ, your stomach suffers the next day so buyer beware

Our server, Jorge was amazing and treated our table like the most important in the room. I'd mentioned I'd never been there and budgeted for a French onion soup & steak sandwich and he made sure I got a sample of the cheese balls and the pork crostini as well. And the bread. Yum. I walked out of there wanting to try all of Kenny's restaurants... and I will certainly do so when I head back to the area. One of the most amazing food adventures of my life. Truly. And it looked like a place that was torn out of a book on neighborhood bars. Beautiful.

Steakhouse Review #7: Kenny's Woodfire Grill. Made a…read morereservation for 7:30 on. Friday and waited about 10 minutes. The place was busy, fairly dark inside, and tightly sat. We were given a table in the side bar room by the food runner. If you know anything about me, you know Kenny's Italian is my favorite restaurant in the DFW area. I love it. So, we were excited to try this Kenny restaurant as the expectations were high. Spoiler alert: not so much. As always, the service at Kenny's was impeccable and the best we've had thus far. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and just so damn nice. After being told it was our first time there, she brought us some tenderloin crostinis and crispy fried Brie (with raspberry chipotle sauce) on the house. The Brie recipe was so damn good it made me cry. Yup. The crostinis were decent. The bread brought beforehand was fun but too eggy. We ordered a filet, the beef short rib, potato cakes, mac & cheese, brussels, and asparagus. Everything was just okay. The filet was good and tender but saucy and the short rib was okay. Both had unique flavors and good but not that special. The potato cakes were basic and neither of us liked the smoky mac with chunks of ham in it. The asparagus were hard and some of the worst we've had. The brussels were unmemorable. It seemed like everything had a smoke hint to it and it wasn't our vibe (should have known with woodfire in the title). But those Brie balls and service...almost made it all worth it. Overall, we most likely wouldn't return and will just stick with Kenny's Italian which is true perfection. Our bill was around $110 and we tipped $60 for a total of $170. They have valet parking which is always nice when I am out with my wife. 2. Their location is easy to find one block from beltline and I-75. 3. I love wood burning oven because I like the Burt edged crust . We also had chopped salad. Our guest couple had the calamari and shrimp appetizers that were very good too. They decided to have shared a pasta dish, carbonara that they raved about. Our drinks were standard beers. All in all and very nice meal that we are happy to recommend.

The restaurant has a more upscale feel without being stuffy, with a warm ambiance, attentive service, and plenty of nearby parking, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere struck a nice balance between casual and special occasion dining. My only complaint is the kids' menu. They offer kid-sized pasta options but surprisingly no kid-sized pizza at a pizza restaurant. It would be nice to have a smaller pizza option for little ones. Otherwise, a wonderful experience and definitely a place I'd return to.

I recently moved to Plano and have been researching fun activities to participate in. Running in 90+ degree temps with humidity will tire a girl out! Something needs to be indoors. Enter, an incredible pastry class. I'm no rookie when it comes to culinary classes. I love them! I love cooking and baking and always learn something new from a class. It's something I throughly enjoy. This experience was 5 STARS! Everyone was so warm, friendly, inclusive and kind. We really had the absolute best time. I've been trying to feel a sense of community after relocating and the other students, as one told me are "my people". My week days have been spent in an altogether different environment that regardless of if it's cultural has brought me down in a real way. I was looking for an afternoon of joie. The class was so inviting, hands on and fun! We made a bunch of items, shared snacks and our creations together. On break another student in class gave me a tour of Central Market since I'd never been to one. Grabbing coffee, exchanging business cards with others, bookmarking a ton of new spots to try and learning about other fun activities was truly worth every dollar spent to join this 4hr class. It felt exactly like what I had imagined moving to Texas with Texans would feel like. It attracted the finest residents. I can't wait to return. They have an all star line up of classes and August is hatch chili month. I will surely be signing up for at least one class a month. The florals are also totally worth mentioning, the store and class is adorned in the most incredible arrangements. It really was such a lovely class. Now if I can find someone to teach me Mahjong! The store is also gorgeous! I'm definitely at the age where I couldn't care less about local bars, show me a stunning grocery store! Coming from Los Angeles, dare I say it... Central Market might be better than Erewhon.

Case in point: many years ago I made a lamb cake for Easter. Growing up, my grandmother had always made one and I thought it would be fun to try. My young adult children at the time, named my creation a "Rat Cake." I can see how they might have come up with that. I used chocolate sprinkles as whiskers and now that I think about it, I don't think a lamb even has whiskers! :-) For the past couple of years I have gone to Cake Carousel for help in picking up the needed supplies to make a decent looking Easter lamb cake. My result has not been laughed at so, I'll take that as a win! Their tub of whipped buttercream is perfect! Not too sweet, reasonably priced and it spreads on great. They have precious candy flowers that instantly elevate your cake. The grandkids even had fun helping me decorate! I love this tradition that I'm able to carry on with my own grandkids, just as the happy memories I have with my grandmother so many years ago. Cake Carousel makes it happen!
