I especially loved the decor and the t-shirts the staff were wearing that read "Hot Girls only need money and Pasta", it compliments my "Hot girls eat Pasta" hat We ordered the clams casino of which were tasty but a bit in the dry/overcooked side along with a salad that had mixed greens, sliced green apples, candied pecans, goat cheese and a lovely house made vinaigrette. For our entree we ordered the traditional Roman style cheese pizza. The crust was thin, and excellent sauce/cheese ratio and fresh basil. It was delicious and will be a definite go-to next time I visit.

We wanted some authentic New York Italian food, I was skeptical but , we couldn't have been more pleased. Pastaio is a small authentic Italian restaurant the likes of which we have rarely seen. We grabbed 2 bar seats as we typically do. Troy was the bartender. Fantastic job. Personable and attentive. He made well crafted drinks with attention to detail. I had an old fashioned. Perfectly made , chilled and served over 1 large clear cube. My wife had a vodka/soda/ cranberry drink which was perfectly blended. To start we received a basket of bread. I normally wouldn't mention this but to call this "bread" would be an insult. This was warm delicious Tuscan Italian bread bathed in butter and covered in sharp fresh Parmesan . Literally a meal on its own. For the appetizer we went with the eggplant stack. Fantastic. Crispy eggplant , delicious authentic sauce smothered in rich mozzarella. Main course for me was homemade cavatelli in Sunday sauce. This included fall off the bone pork ribs and an incredibly authentic Italian meat ball. My 1st generation Italian family, including my mom would have loved this! My wife also had the home made cavatelli, however she chose the Cavatelli Trattoria. A delicious blend of chicken, spinach, cherry tomatoes and roasted herbs. Delicious. If you live in the Port Saint Lucie area and haven't been here and enjoyed a serious authentic Italian meal, this is your place. Ditch the Olive Garden and see what Italian food is really all about. We are anxiously awaiting our return to Florida and this is our first stop.!

There's a bar area and plenty of seating. The host and service were friendly in this local family owned restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised that it was reasonably priced and all the entrees were well seasoned and flavorful. They know how to showcase their spices. I ordered the yummy Garlic Naan and Butter Chicken, which was rich and creamy. My friends ordered the Mixed Biryani rice, Bhuna Goat and Lamb dishes. I forgot to take photos of some of the entrees since it was so delicious! I'd have to say that I'm very picky when it comes to Lamb and Goat, but it was so well seasoned that there was no gamey aftertaste. Believe me, it was that good! I also had the Mango Lassi drink which was fresh and on point but slightly thick, The best dessert I've had in a while was their Rasmalai, it's made with milk, sugar and saffron with a hint of rosewater. It was the perfect freshness and sweetness. This was definitely a surprise find and the employees are genuinely kind. The way the food is cooked here immediately transports me to my childhood home, with mom cooking, yelling at us kids to stop lifting the lids off the pots. This food is phenomenal. The rice and beans,platanitos, tostones, all have such a flavor, and that special ingredient that only a mother has, love. I had the tostones, the wife had bistec empanizado and we took the croqueta sandwich home. Man o man, I dont think I've ever finished ameal without taking a to go container with me. The service is excellent, food is 10 stars! I genuinely feel as if I was in a family members home for lunch or dinner, not in a restaurant. This place should be on a tv show somewhere.
