I was only looking for a snack and got a small order of fries, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food I was provided for the price point. Judging by the food the other patrons got, everything looked to be just as good. I even got to try their new BBQ sauce which was very good and had a nice tangy flavor to it. The service I received was excellent and he took the time to answer all of my questions and to bring the food directly to me at the bar. The restaurant consists of a bunch of those old style concrete tables set outside under a gazebo. There are fans above you so even though it's outside you won't get very hot. This is as authentic as it can get. I am Cuban so I grew up eating this food and when I tell you it beats all the restaurants in Kendall, Miami I am not joking!! Their food is great and seasoned to perfection. The rice is soft and flavorful, the meat is always perfect with little to no fat and my favorite is the yuca. Did I mention the plates cost between $7-$11??? It's crazy how much food they give you for the prices. If you are looking for a spot with delicious authentic food that isn't processed and filled with fake ingredients, this is it. Highly recommended and I know once you go you'll see what I mean. Plantains were sliced thin and fried, sweet and ripe, they were served with a rich cream sauce. Pickled onions were also offered we they were very good but I don't eat onions. My SO had a breakfast of eggs, corn tortilla, large slice of white cheese, refried beans and plantains. He ate all the beans and made an egg sandwich with the rest.
