what the cameras record in the restaurant is viewed on a screen in the Lobby. Strange!!!
    Mike H.

We were trapped by the nice view from the Balkony and walked in. We were guided to a table. So far so good. There were in total 5 waitresses walking around, but it took more than 10 minutes and my waving hands that they took notice of us and brought the dinner card. The treatment was all over our stay undercooled. We had 2 Pizza Marghertias and 2 Lasagne al Forno. The Pizza looked and tasted like low budget frozen Pizzas from the discounter, maybe even worse. The Lasagane was served on plates you would not use in a Catina. Taste was also dull. Servants did not ask if everything is fine nor if we want to order more drinks...which we surely would have denied. Toilettes were ugly (ok, in Itally almost all toiletts are ;-). We recognized that a group of dutch Tourists came in and wanted to sit at a free table which was not reserved. The waitresses refused it. They asked why and didn't received a reasonable answer from them. Their english was quite bad too. But my Italian is not that worse to understand that one of them wistleld to the other, what a bloody cow this Lady is. Unbelievable!!! The Dutchs were annoyed and left the location. They will never know what lucky guys the are. We decided to follow them asap and asked for check. Finally we paid 62,50 Euro for this ridiculous performance. Not 1 Cent tip they got!! What we also found very strange were 2 cameras in this room which recorded the people. You could see it outside in the Lobby on a screen. See the picture we added. Is that legal?? However, this was one of the worst restraunts we've ever been. Never again! Don't go there!

Stopped by for some wine and grappa after a long way around san gimignano. Most restaurants here dont let you sit unless you eat. This is one of the rare places that has some space in front for people who just want a drink. Ordered some great chianti and strong grappa. The grappa was very strong but warmed us up inside. Did not eat but service was good and drinks as well.

In a beautiful alley you'll find Il Feudo. Service and ambience was on point today. Even though it was easily evident down our whole party was from over sees the peeps who waited on us were very kind and patient. I ended up ordering something more on the simple side. The Tagliatelle al cinghiale drew me to it because of the meat. They use specific type of boar in the area to pair with the pasta. I think the idea is that you keep the overall dish simple so you can focus on the flavors of meat however for me it was just ok. Even though I knew what to expect, there was still something in the back of my mind that felt the dish was lacking something. The dish definitely had flavor so it wasn't an issue of salt or anything like that. But for some reason I was expecting to be more blown away by the dish. I definitely would come back but I think if I did I would just probably try a different pasta. Other than that I had a good experience.

They will move the cars for you. OK the food: Most is sourced locally, the beef is dry aged 30 days, and is so tender. The filet is not mignon, but a sirloin filet and super flavorful. The sausages with white beans is outstanding. The house wine is local, and really all you need is, although they have a great selection. They will explain every item on the menu In detail if you wish. The Caprese salad has specially sourced Buffalo mozzarella, ask the waiter about it. Very very good! Again, it will be your loss if you don't go here at least once.

The service was crisp, interesting, and engaging. Our first experience was two take-away pizzas for $20. They were delicious, so we went back for a sit down. We elected to eat in the cozy upstairs dining room, but we offered outside seating. The large screen TV was playing a concert from the national orchestra. Our guy was very interested in the concert and explained some of the components. It was very interesting. The two mains were delicious! We had a half liter of house white and a half liter of rosso. Both were locally sourced and spot on. $52 got us out the door! The prices in all of Tuscany for food is so much lower than the states. Expect to pay half in a restaurant and 1/3 less in grocery stores.

Best of all was the staff, Gennaro, and owner, Melissa and I think Giovani, they were so friendly and welcoming. I had the ravioli and my husband had the grilled pork chop, it was so lip smacking good he is still talking about it. We went back a second night for the huge steak we were told they'd be serving. After being in Italy for nearly a week my husband was missing his meat. They did not disappoint. The steak was ginormous and grilled to perfection. We loved this Osteria and can highly recommend it to others.

He and his staff speak very little English but this did not restrict our experience at all. We sorted out a reservation online which you can do with their website. Very simple. The menus are in Italian with English translations underneath. We had the mixed fish starter, which was cooked calamari, crab, mussels, shrimp, etc in an unbelievable sauce. Then I had the linguine with clams.. simply amazing. I also tried my 2 friends' dishes which were also great. The best thing here are the prices! So low. We got a bottle of house red wine for like 10 euro. All cocktails were 3.50 euro: vodka martini, negroni, etc. We also ended with the sponge cake, the tiramisu, and the fruit with cream (this one not in the dessert section of the menu but another section). The sponge cake was the best, but just barely in my opinion. With a few espresso's the whole bill was under 70 euro for an ABSOLUTE FEAST for 3! We will definitely be back. This place is a TRUE HIDDEN GEM of Tuscany.
