I drive pass this place a lot. It looked interesting so I wanted to try it. I checked out their…read moreFacebook page first. Looked good. Due to the quarantine, reservations are required. You can get one easily with short notice. We arrived in the early afternoon. The facility is charming & clean. We sat on the back patio. There are a lot of flies when the food is on the table. We ordered 2 T-Bone steaks (1 well done, 1 medium-rare), Quacamole, 2 beers, 1 sparkling lemonade, 1 Sprite. Approx $60 U.S. / $1200 MX Grilled woodfire cooked meat is their specialty. The Steak is not high quality or cooked properly. It is also very tough regardless how you order it. The steaks completely lacks seasoning to enhance the flavor & tenderize the meat. My partner was not happy at all with her dry, tough steak. We asked to change the order to a Filet Mignon. The waiter checked to see if the restaurant would accommodate us. We were told - NO. So we paid for 3 meals. I ordered my steak medium-rare, it was medium / medium-well, not pink, not cooked evenly or properly. It was not properly seared on the outside, tough, no flavor. My partner ordered a Filet Mignon after the inedible T-Bone arrived. She asked for more seasoning on the meat. It arrived the same as the 2 T-Bones. No flavor & not properly cooked. As someone who's worked in restaurants for years & who knows how to grill steaks; I was disappointed with the food & lack of customer service to make things right. This was not the waiter's fault. I might go back to try the ribs, arranchera, or breakfast. Stay away from the thicker cuts of meat & do not expect any policy of pleasing the customer if you are unhappy with your food. I expained to the waiter that treating customers like this is not proper customer service & affects the restaurants reputation. And to please convey this to the owner, manager, & chefs regarding how to cook steak.
