This place in Los Angeles is really good, especially for hookah. The hookah was smooth and enjoyable to smoke. I had a great time with a couple of my friends during my vacation to LA. One of my buddies suggested this place, so we tried it, and it turned out to be a great experience!!

This was a fantastic experience! The ambience was beautiful, although you would not expect it from the parking lot. The interior room has a lot of great blue light, the patio house has adorable porch lights! I felt safe here, I wasn't being harassed with my friends. There was a lot of space in order to have private conversations. The service was wonderful. The owner helped us pick the kind of Shisha that we wanted. Even the hookahs have their own cute little iron so the ash does not get into the Shisha. The price of a hookah is reasonable! Please note that there is a maximum of three people per hookah at 29.99. There are chips and other kinds of dry goods. I wish hummus had been available however, I don't think they have a kitchen. I will certainly be visiting again.

I've been to a lot of hookah places in LA, but Blue Lounge is awesome. The prices are very competitive and they have a lot of parking space and have huge patio area if you want to sit outside. It's a great place to relax, meet up with friends, or just enjoy your evening.

Tonight was my first time at Blue Lounge. I had learned that it recently changed ownership and was eager to check out a lounge near me, as there are very few near me in Downtown. When I pulled up to the location, I was pleased to see that there was ample parking available. Upon arriving, the location looked quite small, but as we walked in I was surprised to see how much space there was, especially the back patio! The owner was kind enough to walk us through the location, and show us around, allowed us to choose our pipes and even helped us decide on some new mixes to try out. In under 7 minutes, our hookah was brought out to us with a smile. GG was great about checking on us throughout the session, and my friend and I were both extremely happy with our bowls. We had about an hour and a half session, 2 rounds of 3 coals each on an apple on top wind cover heating device. My hookah was still smoking extremely smoothly by the time I was leaving, it could have probably lasted another 30 minutes. My friend's hookah was cooked at an hour 30, which in my opinion is the time of an average session. As someone who smokes close to 5 hookah bowls a day at home and refuses to try out new lounges, I was really grateful I went to Blue Lounge. I had my own reservations of the lounge prior to tonight because of the negative reviews I had read on here, but I truly believe that this lounge is on its way to becoming a low key hotspot. Whether you're an occasional smoker or an enthusiast, I feel that the service and quality is top tier for everyone alike. I'll definitely be back here again. I was in town to meet my friends and discovered this amazing hookah lounge. As I pulled up first thing I noticed was ample of parking space. The place is huge and has a back patio which lights up like a stary night. This is one of the cool places I have visited this weekend. They have outstanding spectrum of hookah flavors and the ambiance is superb. The service I got from GG was top-notch, I believe I got my hookah at my table within 5 mins, he gave some amazing mixes and flavor recommendations such an altruistic personality. I would highly recommend this place if you want to have some good time or you plan for a game night. I'd definitely go back to this place and highly recommended for avid smokers. I believe the new management is a game changer for this place. It's like finding a diamond.

It has been 3 years since my last review of this amazing place and it has only become better under the new ownership of GG. I have been a regular ever since the lounge opened and one thing I can say is that service is even more superb than before. They have the best hookahs and customer service in LA. I stumbled on LA Hookah Lounfe thanks to Yelp, and at first I wasn't totally sure if I should go in. Pulling up it gave major "are we sure this is open?" vibes. The outside is super dark and from the car I was questioning if I should even try it. But once I opened the door total surprise. It was completely safe inside and had a laid-back, cozy vibe that caught me off guard in the best way. When we got there, there were only a couple of other tables but it started to fill up slowly after. Still, the place never felt too packed or overwhelming. Just chill vibes and low-key energy perfect for relaxing. They do have board games, which I thought was cool but they're kept locked up so you have to go ask the staff to access them. A tiny inconvenience but not a dealbreaker. Honestly, it would've been nice if they were just out and ready to grab but I get it. Now let's talk about the hookah I now consider myself a hookah amateur, I was surprised by the amount of options they had. There were so many flavors I'd never heard of, plus different types of setups. One of them was themed after cartoon characters like Labubu or ziMomo (I forget the exact name but it was so fun and random in the best way). I had no idea hookah came in such creative setups! Service was fine no complaints. They were helpful when we asked about the hookah types and got us set up quickly. All in all this is definitely one of those hidden gems you'd probably never walk into unless you knew it was there. But I'm so glad I did. It's not flashy or fancy, but it's the kind of spot that makes you want to stay for hours and unwind. I'll definitely be back. read more

10/10. A friend and I were cruising the town and wanted to smoke hookah. We literally, googled "hookah near me" & this place popped up. The host was amazing, very tentative and friendly. They have games inside and quite a bit of flavors to choose from. Lastly , there is a patio with heaters! I'll def be returning! P.S. the music is good and the parking is solid too!! I love going to a lounge where the owner is genuinely passionate about the customer experience, and LA Hookah is exactly that! GG is an amazing owner, always so welcoming to me and my friends, and he consistently goes above and beyond when creating mixes for us. They have a huge selection of flavors and the pipe selection is top-tier (nothing beats a Regal Hookah!). And one of my favorite parts: parking is always so easy. There's unlimited parking directly in the front, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the perfect spot to come with a good group of friends, relax, smoke, and hang out. This is by far the best hookah lounge in LA!! The owner Gigi is just the most friendliest and super knowledgeable about the different hookah flavors and pipes. I always trust his recommendations because it's super smooth and lasts a while. If I could put zero stars I would . I can tolerate a lot but I CANNOT and WILL NOT tolerate racism. This business clearly has fake reviews because there's no way all these people (no photos & no yelp activity) had a 5 star experience . We came here on a Saturday night and the owner literally locked the front door and told us to leave out the back . NEVER AGAIN read more

Me n my husband love hookah when we are traveling and we travel a lot. This is probably the best hookah we have tried in a long time. The customer service was very nice. First time at this amazing Hookah Lounge and definitely won't be the last, this will be our go-to. As soon as you walk in you're immediately welcome by GG the most hospitable person you'll meet including most knowledgeable about the craft of Hookah. He prepared us a custom blend of Tangiers which was out of this world! A private and secluded location with private indoor and outdoor seating. Must try location for everyone. read more

Went there for the first time recently and really enjoyed it, especially the hookah, which was amazing. The customer service was also wonderful (thanks Gigi!) Hookah was ok nothing great about it. Hookah cost is is significantly higher than average . In addition, there is a service fee added to your bill and on top of taxes. The fee is approximately 21-22% of purchase. They only take cash so bring it with you or pay $5 to withdraw from the ATM on-site. The patio area is pretty and clean. They have heaters and the service was ok. The front desk person was rude when I asked about the difference between cost per menu and what I was charged. It lacked transparency so I hope this review provides that before you decide to visit. This is definitely a place for you and friends to hangout. Gaurav (GG) the new owner is great! Amazing customer service and the widest selection of tobacco I've seen in any hookah lounge! The lounge is open late hours and has been a great place to get work done or relax after a long day (the WiFi speeds are great). GG is very flexible with the music selection and is amenable to whatever genre you're in the mood for. As an Armenian, I know my hookah and this place is the best hookah lounge in all of LA. I highly recommend Blue Lounge to everyone (from beginners to experienced smokers.) The lounge has both an inside and outside area, so regardless of weather, there's somewhere to sit. What's really refreshing is that the owner is really receptive to feedback and suggestions, which is really rare nowadays in any business, let alone a hookah lounge. 10/10. Came to blue lounge the other night now that it's under new ownership. The owner was super knowledgeable with hookah and recommended mixes. Just tell him a profile and ask him to surprise you, was not disappointed. Great prices for the quality of tobacco you're getting. You can tell he's really put his heart and soul into the lounge. Cute Spot with Great Staff but Different Vibes Day vs. Late Night…read more Ambiance and Setup This place is super cute and has a really nice patio style "rooftop" area (technically the second floor). The decor is fun and aesthetic, and it's a great spot for brunch, drinks, or hookah. You do have to walk up about two short flights of stairs to get there. I didn't see an elevator, so that's something to keep in mind. Parking There is shared parking downstairs with the other businesses in the building. During the day it can get pretty full, but when we came late at night there was plenty of parking available. Food and Drinks On our recent visit we ordered the nachos and added protein, and they were really good...flavorful and filling. I've also been here before for breakfast/brunch a couple years ago and the food was great then too. The mimosas were really good, and overall the brunch experience was wonderful. They also offer drinks and hookah, which is one of the reasons we wanted to come back at night. Games One thing I thought was really cool is that they provide some games for guests to play. We didn't end up using them, but it's a fun little touch that adds to the experience. Brunch / Breakfast Experience (5 Stars) When I came during the morning for breakfast and mimosas, the atmosphere was relaxed, cute, and really enjoyable. The staff was friendly and everything felt calm and welcoming. It was honestly a great brunch spot and I would absolutely recommend it for daytime visits. Late Night Experience (3 Stars) We came back late at night around 2 a.m. for food. While the staff and food were still great, the overall energy was very different from the daytime experience. The late night crowd was louder and higher energy, and some of the guests were a bit unfriendly, which made the atmosphere feel a little less comfortable for us personally. This isn't really the restaurant's fault, but it did change the vibe compared to the relaxed brunch visit I had before. Hookah Policy They do have a hookah minimum policy. For example, tables of three must order one hookah, tables of five must order two, and so on. If guests choose not to order hookah, there is a required minimum spend or a small fee per person. Just something to be aware of before going. Service Charge There is an 18% service charge added, so keep that in mind when budgeting. Service The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and attentive. Even when things got busy, they stayed calm and professional, which we really appreciated. Overall Still a really cute place with great service and good food. I'd personally recommend coming earlier in the evening or during brunch hours if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. We came all the way from Dallas, Texas, and let me tell you we've never experienced Southern hospitality in LA like we did here. From the moment we walked in, the greeting was warm and genuine. What can I say, amazing place, probably the cleanest and best place to smoke a hookah. I love the weekends when they have great events and cool music, and also love chilling on weekdays after a long day just to enjoy a lovely hookah. It's my new go to spot read more

You could tell he actually cared about making sure we had a good time. He even surprised me and my friend with a slice of cheesecake for our birthdays, which was such a thoughtful touch (and it was ridiculously good). We had the KFC and Orange Kiwi Mint hookahs. Both were smooth, flavorful, and had their own vibe, but still hit perfectly. The fries and asada hummus were also stars of the show. People like CJ are the reason you come back to a place. Great energy, genuine hospitality, and he made us feel taken care of all night. Shoutout to Darwin as well! Made our hookahs with perfection continued to replace our coals without issue.

I have been looking to try this fairly new hookah lounge for a while now and I finally got to…read more This hookah lounge is just above DTLA on a fairly quiet street which is nice and Armenian owned and Russian/Ukrainian styled. They do valet - $12 a car. I really disliked that I was practically forced to do valet despite an empty parking lot and no need for any "real" valet services, when I asked the valet guy where else I can park if I don't want valet he just shrugged and said not sure.. I went on a weeknight so it wasn't too crowded, I was quickly seated and had a whole section to myself. Since it's outdoors, it was a little cold however they have blankets + standing heaters. I ordered a shrimp pasta and a pineapple hookah, the pasta was absolutely delicious and came out super quick...the hookah on the other hand...took over 35 minutes to come out. The second thing I disliked was their "hookah" menu, when I asked for one they just said talk to the hookah guy, so I had to ask him what flavors they have and mixes...I would rather look at a menu and have my own options to choose from versus hear them. Also was completely unaware of the prices so that is a little shady. However after finding out, a regular hookah is $35, $40 for a premium Russian brand (I recommend this) and $65 for a grapefruit or pineapple head.... The play house music that was a little loud but nothing too overbearing. Hookah service was great and the coals are changed frequently. Overall - solid hookah spot with clearly good and knowledgeable hookah specialist...downside was the valet / hookah taking forever to come and no menu for hookah. I would however definitely come back though.
