My friend had her phone stolen while we were at Bar Flores, and the experience afterward was incredibly disappointing. We notified staff immediately, but the response was surprisingly indifferent. We were told that phone thefts "happen," which wasn't reassuring at all. We also asked for help reviewing security camera footage since we were seated directly in front of a camera, but days went by with little to no communication despite multiple attempts to reach the bar through DMs and email. Whether or not the theft itself could have been prevented, the lack of urgency, communication, and concern for customers left a terrible impression. If phone theft is something staff are already aware happens, I would expect much more proactive support when a guest becomes a victim. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this bar based on how the situation was handled. If you visit, keep an extremely close eye on your belongings. read more

Fun cocktail bar located in the heart of Echo Park. This bar feels a little hidden from the street because you go up the stairs and enter this really cozy room where the bar is located. They're seating and standing room in this area, but there's also an entrance to a back outside area as well. The service here is really friendly. The drinks and the space is aesthetically pleasing. The backyard patio is such a mood, and the location is perfect right in the heart of EP. I also love the aesthetic. I'd never been to Bar Flores before but he spoke highly of it and was a regular. We were greeted by a really kind and cool bartender - I had to Flores Negroni and my friend had a margarita. Both were really good. We posted up outside on their rooftop area and waited until 5pm, which is when the kitchen opened. These were some of the best nachos I've ever had. We ended up staying there for a few hours, and getting another round of nachos - no regrets. Really chill vibe, kind servers, tasty drinks and good food. I came here on a night that they had a Dj from Mexico spinning. They were playing all the bangers and the drinks were on point! I got a Mezcal sour which I can't usually find at some bars. The bartender mentioned that they change their menu every six months and I found that pretty cool. She also helped me decide on a drink and answered a couple of questions I had about their selection, I loved that they had a large selection of different Mezcals. The bartenders were all really friendly and the location itself is really nice, I mostly stayed inside because we were dancing but I had a peek at the patio and it was super cute out there too and it looked like it had lots of seating. I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday evening. The main lobby is a bit cramped but has great ambiance. To the back, there's a seating area with tables for people that may want to dine in, and to the side there's a great taco spot. Three different environments inside the same locale, in case you're craving a drink, some good tacos, or some dinner in the nice patio area. The service was fantastic, even though they were swamped with requests, the bar people took care of me in a friendly, polite, courteous manner and dispatched me quickly. No bar is good if the patrons aren't, and fortunately, this bar attracts fantastic people. It was relatively easy to make connections, and get to know people. Made a new friend (bought her a drink, and chatted for a bit) and made other connections as well.
