[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun cocktail bar located in the heart of Echo Park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This bar feels a little hidden from the street because you go up the stairs and enter this really cozy room where the bar is located.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They're seating and standing room in this area, but there's also an entrance to a back outside area as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service here is really friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The drinks and the space is aesthetically pleasing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I could see why this place is so popular in the area. A great place for day drinking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Champurrado Milk Punch and the Marla's Martini. Both delicious! Its proximity to Dodger Stadium and great restaurants around it makes it also the perfect place to grab a drink before heading to other places as well.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A bar with a lot of inside and outdoor seating with very little parking spots in front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're unable to get street parking you may need to uber or park in the neighborhood. They serve drinks inside and food outside. The bartenders were friendly and took care of your order without forgetting you. My friends and I only ordered drinks, but the food sounded good as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the atmosphere of the inside more, they were playing Hip Hop and R&B while the outside was playing Hispanic songs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love bar Flores. I love the aesthetic, the location, the cute girlies, and the food is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] BUT, the bartenders always have a stank attitude! I swear every time I come there's at least one bartender that has an attitude and acts like I'm inconveniencing them asking for a drink. God forbid if I ask for a suggestion on what's a good drink to get! I have never been rude to anyone waiting on me. And I always make sure I give a good tippy. I go to many places, and never had anyone give me an attitude off rip. It's wild to me. I would've given this place 5 stars, but nah.

Decor extends to the street. Gorgeous!

Ummmmm... hello from Little Miss Late to the Party! How am I just making my way to this amazing place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First of all, it is absolutely adorable! I love every accent, all of the retro touches, and of course, the beautiful nods to our beloved Mexico.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I popped in for happy hour with friends on Wednesday to find nine-dollar margaritas, and not just during happy hour, they were pouring these beautiful cocktails until 11 PM! I am sold! Not pre-batched, not cookie-cutter, not watered down, beautifully crafted Mezcal margaritas. Gahhhhh . As if this didn't win my heart over, they have a classic street taco cart serving all of our favorites, including fresh guac and chips. All of my favorite comforts, all fresh and delicious, all in one beautiful place. But wait - just like a 2am infomercial... there's more! [[HIGHLIGHT]]A dope DJ (a woman ) jumped on the decks at 8pm sharp and started spinning all the good stuff like Quantic, Anita Ward, and (drumroll)... Prince![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Baby, this is my new fave bar. I might go back ASAP - like, tomorrow! [[HIGHLIGHT]]P.S. The restrooms are immaculate. Extra love and gold stars for that![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Was waiting for a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant so decided to spend some time at Bar Flores and grab a drink first. Overall, love the vibe of the place. From the decor to the people behind the bar, just feels warm, welcoming and fun. Everyone was very nice, great recommendations on drinks. The Champurado Milk Punch is very flavorful pairing the chocolate and the coconut. Nice combination that worked. If you're in the area and looking for a place to drink, stop by Bar Flores

Flores Negroni and steak nachos - delicious!

I told my friend that the only way I was meeting him across town was if he found me some really good nachos - and he did! I'd never been to Bar Flores before but he spoke highly of it and was a regular. We were greeted by a really kind and cool bartender - I had to Flores Negroni and my friend had a margarita. Both were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We posted up outside on their rooftop area and waited until 5pm, which is when the kitchen opened.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] These were some of the best nachos I've ever had. We ended up staying there for a few hours, and getting another round of nachos - no regrets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really chill vibe, kind servers, tasty drinks and good food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bar Flores may have turned me into a regular, absolutely try this place.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Been coming here for years, I enjoy the interior design and the view outside the window towards the front area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are always on point. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice mirror by the bathroom for quick pics.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did enjoy when they sold tacos as well but last few times that area has been closed.

This was a great bar to pregame at before going to a dodger game, great staff, great drinks, great area. Really cool bar to chill at, especially when the weather is perfect. Will definitely try this place if I'm ever in the area again.

If eleven people come in, in a row and ask for draft beer- fix your draft beer lines then. I really like Bar Flores, to order food, you have to go around the corner and grab it and then go back to get your food. I know hiring an extra person to do food runs is not economical but it's a shame. The margaritas are the best in LA. The cute skinny Hawaiian named bartender is cool af.

We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process. Thunderbolt is not our neighborhood bar, but we plan to go back when we can to check out the rest of the menu. It's a wonderful place, well worth a jaunt on the freeway.

We went on an early Thursday evening, so it was pretty dead, which honestly I liked. But on the weekends it turns into a piano bar, so if you want the full experience that's probably when you should come. My partner wanted to check this place out, and I had absolutely no idea what I was walking into. I used to live in Savannah, Georgia, and walking in immediately reminded me of bars back there. I've missed places like this. I didn't even bother looking at the menu. I asked one question: "Do you have fried pickles?" "And are they spears?" Check. And check. Instantly passed my very low bar test for a place like this, and they tasted exactly how I wanted them to. Both bartenders were great too. Easy to shoot the shit with. Although I will say... I kind of wished there were just a couple old guys sitting in the corner quietly brooding over their drinks. They also have pickled eggs, which I honestly can't remember seeing at another bar in LA. And if pickled pig's feet are your thing... they've got those too. They've never been my thing. The only thing that really pulled me out of the atmosphere was the giant ring light by the bathroom. I guess you have to keep the younger crowd entertained these days if a live piano player isn't enough. There's also the market next door, which is owned by the same people and looks like it's full of good stuff, but it was closed when we visited. I'm assuming it's open on the weekends too, which is another reason I'd recommend coming, if you want the full experience. One last thing... don't be a dick and order a Ramos Gin Fizz when the place is slammed. We only ordered one because it was completely dead.

Blame my city upbringing, moving forward. LOL Now when we stepped inside, isssssa vibe! We sat the bar and immediately started ordering food. We let the bartender know that we don't drink and she offered to make these ice cold tea drinks and she killed it! Whatever she made, refreshed the hell out of me and I loved it! She was pretty chill and made us feel welcome. There was another gentleman there that took our food orders and I'm not sure if he was another bartender or the owner, but he was pretty chill, too. We didn't want to be in the way at the bar with all of our food while everyone was having a good time, so we moved to a table. People were having cold ones and dancing. It was good to see everyone enjoying themselves! I told yall---vibes! Little did we know at the end of the bar is a whole dining area! This joint was pretty big! So that's where you would pick up your food. When I tell yall we ate it down, we ate it dowwwwwnn! We ordered a half shrimp/half oysters po boy, fried pickles, charbroiled oysters, wings, and I forget what it was called but we had another po boy with everything from shrimp to gator....washed it all down with a cold Dr Pepper..don't hate. lol They already had me on the fried pickles, so I don't know what else to tell you except not to sleep on this place!****sings I'm going going, back back, to Cali Cali***
