    Belgium vs USA JUL2026
    Franklin M.

I was looking for a bar to watch the World Cup USA vs Belgium match which would not be overcrowded. There was hardly anyone here to watch the game so it was perfect to sit back and relax while we cheered for USA. They have a great selection of micro beers on tap and other mixed drinks. They don't offer dive bar rates so expect to pay from 8 to 12 bucks per glass of beer, they accept credit cards.

Melody Lounge is my MOST FAVORITE HIDDEN BAR OF 2026 SO FAR! You can easily walk past by, thinking its some run down or closed looking restaurant or warehouse looking building.... its tattered fading red curtains gently billowing.... you do a double take, you try to peek inbetween and its all dark.... you decide to jump in anyways and your eyes quickly adjust to beautiful red lanterns hanging in the ceiling, a quaint little bar on its right and seated corners in the left.... move to the bar, meet Sam and start enjoying the scene. You're here to stay and savor the experience. OC holds no flame to these LA vibes. Lots of cool people, they carry local beers and the bartender can serve up some awesome drinks. Do some street parking, check out Chinatown in all its old glory before the gentrification takes over.

Melody Lounge is truly a gem of a place. I wish we lived closer because it would be our neighborhood bar. Hubby and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon right when they opened and we were blown away at how awesome the space was. Super cozy and warm. The bartender was great and fixed me up a unique Gin cocktail which I loved. We will definitely be back.

My first time here, and it is a very cute neighborhood bar that my friend took me to. There is plenty of seating at the bar and on the couches, but I would describe it as an intimate, moody bar. There was only one staff member working, but luckily we arrived before it got crowded, and she was very attentive. We ordered the Melly Margarita for $16 and enjoyed it. I would definitely come back.

Seductive low light cocktail bar perfect for an intimate night. The compact space is inviting, serves excellent drinks, and plays music for the culture. I've been here 3 times now and the energy is always warm. The staff and patrons are always easy going and sociable. Their menu has a good range of craft cocktails and simple drinks for a bargain fix. There isn't much room to dance on a busier night but hanging around under the lanterns or on their lounge couches is perfect for a night cap. I'm a proud regular and excited to put more friends on this find. It's a true Chinatown gem that I hope sticks around forever.

4+ small cocktail, bar, and lounge located on the outskirts of Chinatown. It seems like this place could get a little crowded later in the night, but I've been here a couple times earlier in the evening or later in the afternoon to meet up with friends for a drink. During that time this place could be really chill and the service is really friendly. They have a nice cocktail menu as well as some nice craft beers available. There's a pretty solid selection of spirits as well with a couple of rare bottles from time to time. Overall, this place is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink. Especially if you're going to other places in the area. It is in Chinatown so depending on the time of day parking could be a little tricky. I found some metered street parking close by.

Say what you will about the area surrounding this bar (slightly sketch) but it's the closest late night bar to Dodger Stadium and if you're willing to take a walk down the hill (20-30 minute walk from the dodger "city gate" for an able bodied person) - is a great pit stop between the stadium and the A Metro light rail train in Chinatown. I always have a blast here and it's flooded with Dodger fans. The Service is always super quick and the ambiance is Dodger centric yet perfect for China town. Cocktail and beer bar, so no food. If I can, I stop here every time I come through. Tonight, the Dodgers clinched their Division and it was a party of Dodger fans celebrating their win over the Padres! Highly recommended! Check Melody out.

This is a dive bar with a lounge feel and it's a vibe! Great music with an extensive beer & cocktail menu, what more can you want? Great place to pop in for a quick drink or to start your night! Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Stopped by on Valentine's Day for a quick pre dinner drink. Ambience was very romantic with the low lights and lanterns. Ton of couples out that night so seating was scarce. However they were right about to open the space up for the dance floor. The bartender was great and was attentive to all the new patrons who were waiting to order. Drinks were made promptly and tasted great. They have a complete menu of interesting cocktails. The one I had was delicious and I really liked the little aesthetic touches of the chicharron. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.

Can't park in the parking lot, or you will get towed. Signs all over the place that you will get towed immediately.... parking across the street by a park... dirt parking or anywhere on the area. Then cross the street, walk down 1 block to reach the place... OR watch out for traffic and jaywalk. (Dont recommend this, busy intersection).... Feel like they tried to make this spot look old.. Mixture of antique looking seats and chairs... Decor seems a lil off to me... 90s hip hop music playing... When I asked for pastries, I was told they have 1 day old pastries... YES 1 day old pastry.... so they dont sell?? Or could they be 2 days old instead of 1... oh and at full price, didnt mention half off... etc... Got a lemon ricotta bread... for being 1 day old, it was moist and just OK... not big on flavor... Coffee was good... no drip, only americano or speciality drip... Service was nice... no big interaction Just order, pay and they brought my coffee to me.... Will I go back.. nope!!... parking is a hassle and 1 day old pastries, is just not for me.... If you go... Enjoy ...

This was the last stop in a night where Conrad and I stepped out to LA to have a good time. So by…read morethe time I got there I was tipsy. I was not falling down the stairs, nor was I slurring my words, nor was I misaligning my pool shots, but I was definetely feeling the good inside my blood. I note this, not to highlight my cool factor as if I was a frat bro in a Florida party school, but more to describe how my experience was fogged by my consumption. This place was definetely a hot spot to hit, but I just will not be able to descrbie everything with speicifc detail, more, broad strokes of a good time. The place is reached by going down a flight of stairs, which feels like one is going to catch the J line in New York. I think I felt this more because of the Spring St sign- a famous stop in NY, NY. As soon, I got there, the goal was to continue the good time and this place allowed that at a reasonable price. They had these can drinks that I really responded and they were only 7 dollars. Ok, I know that saying something is only 7 dollars in this economy can seem out of touch. But a drink in LA most of the time will run you at least 12 to 16 dollars, and I think it is mostly on the 16 side. So finding a 7 dollar drink in a hot spot is refreshing. It was a Suncruiser- a vodka spirit based drink- that was part of their specials for their night. maybe is more expensive on other nights when it is not on special? After the drink Conrand and I stepped into their floor. It was the first time we were there and it is basically a basement game room on whatever it is that Bane takes to make himself go from puny human to muscle-on-muscle-on-muscle villain. There is a lot of pool tables maybe like 5, and I saw ping pong, and other table games. Additionally, instead of a speaker or a recorder- the one's that spin old timey records- there was a band. I took a short video of the band but I could not tell you if this band was good or bad or their name or their style of music. I was partly present, and I just heard the music, I did not appreciate the performers. It happens. So Conrad and I play all the time together. And I saw a guy playing by himself. We quickly introduced oursevles and then we played pool. Here is the thing that I am happy to write about this place. Unline a regular bar with a pool table, where every one knows your name, this place had the opportunity to meet new people. And I enjoyed playing with this guy. He was a new challenge. He had fresh stories. And he offered a view of the world I enjoyed. So this place offers the opportunity to meet new people over a game of pool. If pool is your thing than this place will make you happy an if pool is your way of meeting new folks then this place will make you happy and give you opportunities to find the folks you imagine you need in your life. In the final analysis, I want to go here again, and experience the place more broadly. Not sure if I will write a new Yelp, because even though I bared bone this one, it still gives the primary messages I want to. And to the guy who I played with thanks for having a good time with me, even if it was short. And sometimes, short, can be just enough.

This past visit I came with a large group and was still seated immediately. I didn't realize just how large it is inside, as I usually am towards the front or on the small front patio. ANYWAY The Korean wings were very good but admittedly could have been a bit spicier. The loaded fries had a bit too much melty cheese on top that oversaturated the other ingredients. The chicken quesadilla was I enjoyed but was a little basic. I ended up paying it(because they leave you no choice), but my biggest issue isn't the amount itself. It's that there was no clear notice beforehand. If a restaurant automatically adds gratuity or service charge, especially for a single diner, that should be clearly disclosed before you order or at least be prominently stated in the beginning. A 20% tip should reflect exceptional service. That wasn't the experience I had. The lack of transparency left a bad impression and felt dishonest. With so many great restaurants in Los Angeles that offer better food, better service, and straightforward billing, I wouldn't recommend this place.
