This was THE place our family loved going, whenever we craved mexican....at least two to three times a month. It was also the only place I wanted to go for my birthday dinners. Service is always on point; I have zero complaints about that. We got the same thing each time, but the last few times we went, the steak they use in my husband and daughter's favorite meal was more gristle than meat. We knew they had changed the cut of meat to something cheaper and of lower quality. When we spoke up, we were told that it hadn't been changed. We know better. Also, the seasoning was off. We've eaten Mexican in California, New Mexico, Texas and in Florida where we live. These guys are on point. They get five stars for service and friendliness alone. We enjoyed the food just as much. We generally sit at the bar wherever we go and I would say the go out of their way to make you feel welcomed but this is the way these guy's are. Eric was amazing as was Octavio. read more

Visiting Ft Smith and wanted Mexican food, so we tried La Huerta. Food was excellent!! Nice, clean place with friendly service. Large assortment of items on the menu and everyone found something they loved. We will come back next time we are in town. read more

I'm really impressed with this place. I came in with a group of 25 people. We called ahead but it was relatively last minute. They took our drink orders as we walked in the door, brought out chips and salsa with record timing, got all our food orders correct. I'm just really impressed with their ability to handle such a large group so well on short notice. Several places can't even do that even when they are given more of a heads up. The cheese dip is also deeelicious and a little more unique than what I've experienced at other Mexican restaurants. All that being said, I ordered the fajita burrito, which I wouldn't recommend. Well it was good, but it wasn't what I expected. I pretty much expected fajita contents in a burrito.. and it wasn't that. It was pretty much a chicken burrito. Oh well. read more

Decided to try this place again, give it a second chance. I should have stayed away. Basically if you aren't a woman then don't expect good service. I came in and they seated me and I waited about 5 minutes until someone came and to my drink order. Went ahead and gave them my food order and after a little bit I finished my salsa. No one came to give me more salsa or chips. Got my entree and finished that. Never got one refill the entire time. There were two ladies sitting directly in front of me and I got to watch them get several refills of their drinks and chips and salsa. Food wise, it's great tex mex and they use good ingredients. My favorite Mexican restaurant in FS. Nice variety on the menu, good specials - in particular margaritas on Wednesday nights. The staff is very attentive and extremely nice! The chicken tortilla soup is phenomenal, and enough for a meal or two people to split. read more

The restaurant on rogers ave. Manager was very rude. Called a to go order in they did not give me a price.. My teenage son went to pick it up and they charged 20$ more then I've ever paid. The order was made wrong and the manger refused to take it back or give me my money back. Will never go there again!!!!!! read more

Customer Service is terrible. I got a togo order that tasted old and was missing half of what I ordered. When I called to ask for a refund, the manager demanded I bring the order back because he "Didn't believe me", and would not refund me without seeing it. Incredibly dissatisfied. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I have been coming to this restaurant for years. & just within the last few months they have been going completely downhill. I have been here two times just in this month. The first time I went, my mother and I got really sick after eating here. This most recent time, which was today, is the last time I will ever eat here. The manager has the worst customer service. We ordered a cheese dip to begin with. When it came to the table, it was cold, so we asked our waitress to take it back for a warm one. When she brought it back, the one she brought was less than halfway full and still cold. I found a hair in my food. I asked the hostess to ask the manager if he could come to my table. After about twenty minutes of waiting, he finally came over. When I showed him the hair in my food, he pulled it out and we all agreed that it was a blonde hair. He then began to say how all of his cooks have short black hair, and that they all wear hair nets. He told us that not a single one of his employees have blonde hair. He took my plate from the table, and went into the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, he came back and put the check on the table. He said he took it off of our check. He stated that when he got back there, he took another look at it, and decided that the hair was red. He told me it was my fault that the hair was in my food. No one in my party had red hair. He said "Well it's not my fault. So here's the check. Have a good day." and he walked off. Chito is the only reason I go here. He is the best waiter they have. But I will no longer go here. I wouldn't recommend it either. Used to be my favorite place, now they have just gone to crap. read more

This review is for the La Huerta location on Garrison Ave. Poor Management practices!!! A group of us traveling cross country arrived at the restaurant prior to their 9:30pm closing time. They seated us at a table outside with menus as we asked for dinner. The waiter arrived shortly after we sat down and said we needed to order now since the kitchen was closing. We hadn't even looked at the menus yet, so asked him for more time. He said he could wait until he brought us our drinks, but we had to order then. Here's the really bad part. Less than half way through eating I tried to order another Margarita. They refused because they said the bar had closed. I spoke with the manager and he said it didn't matter that we were still trying to enjoy our dinner, they were closed!!!! I guess it's a good thing we didn't want desert :-( read more

Very Clean , food is OK . What is not OK is the lack of respect for the customers. Our ticket was 47.55 but the ladies at the register made a mistake and ran my debit card for 444.77 and 47.55. Instead of telling me or Management they spoke Spanish with each other and laughed as I walked out the door.Management completely took their side.I was told that maybe something funny was said and I misunderstood. Management did get the 444.77 hold off of my bank account . He offered a free dinner once in our conversation but it was never mentioned again. After holding both charges from my bank account for two days , I feel like they should have took both charges off or insisted on doing something for our inconvenience. Instead he told me to have a nice day. So WATCH your debit cards!!. ALWAYS ALWAYS get your receipt from there. It's not the most trustworthy restaurants in Fort smith. The La Huerta on Garrison is Great . I would recommend them instead. read more
