A really fun dessert/drink experience. There is an overwhelming amount of options and toppings to…read morepick from and the staff weren't very good at explaining what some of the unknown items on the menu were. I researched myself and ended up with something new to me entirely to try. I liked parts of it but overall wasn't my favorite - I feel like I need to do some more research and come back and order something that is more to my preferences. Taiyaki was really good and made fresh!

I started first with the Bambu franchise in Las Vegas a decade ago. I'm happy when I found out…read morethey have this location in PDX a few years ago. If you're not Vietnamese, Bambu is the Vietnamese chè and sinh tố, loosely translated dessert and smoothie, but in a cup, especially for the dessert. They expanded the menu to include coffee, milk tea and such. 3/5-Overall quality and flavor consistency. If you're Vietnamese, it's best to customize yours to your liking as I find their menu a bit lacking for my preference. My favorite and go to choice is the Pennywort Mung Bean $6.50 for 6-8 oz cup. I get it whenever I visit because it's too much labor to make it at home for me. I'm glad to see durian on the menu during my recent visit with friends on 7/4/26. I had to get it of course since I'm a diehard durian lover! I customized mine #5 Smashed Avacado (Smashed Avacado, Ice Separate, NO PEARLS, No Combo Jelly, No Coffee Jelly, Add Durian ($2.00), the total price is $9.50 (7.50 +2 added durian), not cheap yet I had to give it a chance. Dislike the fact that the smashed avocado was too mushy for my preference so as the durian with tons of fiber threat texture indicated the durian quality was mediocre as best. I'm glad I asked for separate ice or ele it'd have been too watery for me. I preferred my smashed avocado to still have pieces and chunks for texture, not mushy smoothie texture. This location is family owned and most staff speak Vietnamese as well. Clean restrooms with toilet seats covered, you have to ask for the key. Plenty of parking spaces in this corner of Powell Blvd & 82nd Avenue.

Definitely not in a very noticeable spot, but that is fine. Went in and kind of had the thought of this is not, the space that I want to get a drink from. Again just trudged through it. Asked for a modification on one of the smoothies. I asked for peanut butter, chocolate and banana to replace the caramel. The original drink had peanut butter, chocolate and caramel. I can tell you that it was just pure banana that I got. There was no peanut butter and no chocolate. She even asked me while she started making it what the three ingredients were. And the banana flavor was not even like a fresh banana. Guaranteed it was just from a powder, which had this horribly fake banana taste to it. I had about three sips and knew I was not going to finish it. Attempted to get it redone and that was a no I would need to pay for something else. $10 for a drink that I hated sucks. So it went in the trash. I literally cannot shake the aftertaste, even after drinking some Powerade. Others may enjoy this place, but it is definitely not for me. They had several options for their menu, so good luck if you try it.

The coconut açai bowl comes with chopped apples on the top and mango in the blend so it does come out to be a much sweeter option than something like the pure protein bowl. For example, the Blue Cashew Toast is made from cashew butter and one of the healthiest fruits blueberries. As an antioxidant, blueberries are the best of all berries (although berries in general have enormous health benefits). Do the research and you will find people living in the "blue zones" of the world have diets high in Green Leafy Vegetables, onions, mushrooms, particular seeds and berries among other dietary items. It's interesting to me watching parents buy their young kids a pastry or even worse a breakfast sandwich at the neighboring Starbucks when they could be putting nutritious food into their kids bodies instead at Pure Greens. Nothing I have negative to say about Starbucks coffee, they get my money everyday for a coffee drink. But, to see parents serve up a Starbucks' toxic breakfast sandwiches and a Frappuccino on the go to their kids??? It's sad to see that knowing the damage that those foods can cause to a body.
