I was hesitant, this place has mixed reviews, I had no problem with the food being too spicy or cold. Maybe because I ate the food right away and i couldn't wait!! It was hot(not spicy) and fresh!! The food was so delicious and the green salsa is my favorite ! I would say if they had more seating outside it would be 5/5 stars. Good service ! Answers any questions. I was out in this area around 10 or 11, and was really craving nachos, and so it was awesome to find this truck. It's in an odd spot, just on the side of the road outside of an apartment complex, but the area seemed to be somewhat busy with pedestrian traffic, and I was ecstatic to find a taco cart at this time of night that was open. I ended up getting a couple tacos (Chorizo, Pastor and Lengua) and a burrito for later. The tacos were good, great balance of price/quality/quantity. They were $1.50, he put a good amount of meat in them, and they were pretty good flavor. The burrito came out really good as well, even reheated the next day. The service was great, the gentleman was friendly, he told me it would be about 15 mins and it was done in probably ten, and for the money, i felt like I got a great deal, not to mention the HUGE bonus of being open at 11pm. Terrible. I hate leaving bad reviews, but id feel bad for anyone arriving hungry hoping for a good meal. The "crispy taco" was a store bought taco shell, and it was stale. The meat was tasteless and didn't seem fresh- like at all. The red salsa was watered down juice from what I can only guess was once pico de gallo. I can't think of a good enough reason to cut corners if you're looking for return customers. If you look at the dates of almost every positive review was from years ago, some as far back as 2017. read more

To be open late night this was terrible felt like the meat was a little undercooked no seasoning. The green sauce was very runny. I will never eat here again in my life. This is most definitely a food truck for only the neighborhood. Don't know how it has five stars wouldn't recommend. read more

When we moved into the apartments next to this taco truck, I was excited. Cheap, possibly tasty tacos that are within walking distance? AND they're open in the evenings until 3am? Amazing! When I actually tried the tacos... I was floored. I have had tacos all over the Portland area, from Por Que No to Little Conejo in Vancouver. This guy's tacos are something else. They're nothing crazy, nothing over the top with extra frills and bells and whistles. Just great quality meat, seasoned perfectly with a side of DELICIOUS pickled onions (I always ask for extra!), limes, and to-go salsa cups. He has a lot of different meat options as well! For $1.50 per taco, I could order about 5 of these (AND be able to choose a different meat for each taco) for the price of a "3 Soft Taco Combo Box" from Taco Bell. He also makes well priced burritos, with his Super Burrito being only a hair over $8. I don't write Yelp reviews very often, but Los Cactus gets 5 stars from me. read more

I absolutely love this taco truck. Great tacos for only $1, the cheapest I have been able to find. Most taco trucks that I come across have tacos that are more expensive. They also serve delicious quesodillas, papusa, and burritos. All are extremely tasty. The burritos are big. Drinks are available. Really friendly taco man. He is there every night (maybe sooner) around 7 or 8 until late, except for sundays. You can call and place an order for pickup.(there's a photo posted with the number on the side of the truck) I usually get the beef tongue and chicken and pork, and all three meats have always been tasty with my 7+ visits. This is a food truck that sets up (almost) every night on the side of the road near a few Apartments just North ( one block ) of the Clackamas Towncenter Mall. They set up around 7-9pm and stay open till around Midnight on weekdays and Later during the weekends. (depending on weather and how busy they are) This is some of the best Carnitas Tacos I've found in Portland. I frequent here once a week, sometimes more. Friendly service, excellent prices. $1 tacos $5 Burritos. Takes credit cards for a 50cent charge. nice pickled onions and a solid red salsa with a nice medium kick to it. 4-6 tacos is a good serving size. It's a good stop for cheap late night tacos. I've eaten there twice so far and enjoyed the beef lengua (tongue), beef cabeza (head), and molinda (ground beef) tacos. My heart soars at the sight of this taco truck in the evening. The man who runs this taco truck is quite possibly, my favorite man in the world, and his food is always the highlight of any evening. I mean, can you get any better than $1 tacos that are little pieces of heaven served in a soft tortilla? Methinks not. You can't really reach him on his cell phone much, but trust me when I say he is reliable. Wait around until 8 pm and he shows up right on time on Causey Ave right up the street from my condo. I've tried the burritos, the tacos, quesadilla, and tortas. EVERYTHING HE MAKES IS MEXICAN FOOD PERFECTION. He accepts cards, people, and anything he makes is authentic and wonderful. He sets out chairs, but they're rarely used unless it's a group because he prepares everything quickly and it stays warm and perfect. Where have you been all my life?!! I love, LOVE Mexican food and this little unassuming cart blew me away. Three tacos, three dollars! I tried two carnitas tacos and a chicken taco. My taste buds were bursting with many flavors. The moist tender meat, no cheese, but salsa, cilantro, onion options. Simple yet perfect. The carnitas were my favorite. Just got some chicken tacos that were made with SOUR meat. It smelled disgusting, had to throw everything away. Will never go back. Eating spoiled meat is dangerous. Even before this incident, the guy could never get the order right. If you ask for beef and some chicken tacos, expect to get that messed up. My first time...getting the courage to eat off of a taco truck. IT WAS AWESOME. Within a few days had 8 more family members hooked.
