I visited Rosita's Place for lunch. It's located in a food cart pod on SE 82nd. There's a bit of parking spaces at the entrance of the pod. The service was great. The cashier was very friendly and my burrito was ready quickly. There's some tables in the pod. My carnitas burrito was delicious. The ratio of each component was great and the carnitas were juicy and flavorful. The salsa given to me to put in the burrito was spot on. The atmosphere was chill. Overall, I'd like to revisit next time I'm in the area. read more

There is a separate truck for alcohol so we also got a chelada. The food cart is located in a food truck area with nice outdoor seating that has shade. We were looking for a Mexican food cart, When Rosita's Place suddenly appeared on the passenger side of the car. We made a U-turn through the Winco parking lot, back onto 82nd Avenue, then into Rosita's parking area. Our order was taken quickly by a friendly person. We sat outside under a large tent and waited for our food. Although the seating area is right next to 82nd Avenue, somehow it didn't seem drowned out by the traffic noise. I had three street tacos which were just OK. Cilantro in my tacos were included chopped up stems & long slices fresh sweet onion that were sprouting. The fresh lime were hardly large enough to squeeze, I'm talking the smallest little pieces I've ever seen! I put a lot of mild sauce, it was tasteless. DH had the chicken enchilada plate with pinto beans and Mexican rice. He said his food was just OK. He prefer re-fried beans! WHY are photos always look appealing, than real foods? The area was very clean, but I didn't have a chance to visit the restroom facilities. UPDATE: Both my husband and I got kind-a sick, belly-aching/diarrhea, a couple days after eating out. This is our go to! The burritos are huge and have a great flavor. Love the taquitos with the toppings. The street tacos are pretty good use to come with a side of grilled onion and peppers for some reason haven't received those on the last few orders. Nothing like a great torta on locally made bread. As I've stated before, 82nd is the place to find some really good stuff if you know where to look. I randomly passed by this area and found a small food pod. Cuban food, Korean and Rosita's. All were great options but I needed to move quickly for an appointment so I figured the torta would be the quickest. Carne Asada was my choice. They didn't have too many meat choice, but it is a food cart. All the standard veggies were on the sandwich. Avocado, onions, tomato, jalapenos, but surprisingly no beans. Believe me the food was good, but I was looking for some frijoles to add an extra layer. The sandwich was a good size and the habanero sauce I got with it wasn't too hot but had some good flavor to it. Another hidden gem. I can't count how many different breakfast burritos/sandwiches I've tried, the version here is one of the better. I suggest skipping the ham at any Mexican hole-in-the wall or cart as it's usually of very low quality. Their orange sauce is hot, but not overbearing, just right for the breakfast burrito. The refried beans were perfect, get that black bean stuff away from me. The star of the show were the warm, creme-filled Churros for $1.50. Nice owners who run it, a bit on the slow side. read more

After my favorite up and disappeared, I've been searching for a decent replacement. So far, Rosita's Place is the closest I've found! We had friends over, and just decided to buy a bunch of stuff and sample it all. We got soft carne asada tacos, carne asada burritos, chicken taquitos, chips and salsa, carne asada nachos, two types of churro (Bavarian cream and Cajeta) and of course some Mexican Coke! Everything was good! Not amazing, but definitely good enough to go back again and again. I really loved the nachos, but found the cheese sauce a little....inauthentic. But even still, they were among the top 3 or 4 nachos I've ever had. If it was all real, melted cheese, they might be in the top 2! The tacos were okay, but for the price? I'd probably skip them next time. The taquitos were filled with giant chunks of chicken that, without any sauce or anything, was super flavorful. The chips and salsa were good, as you'd expect. We had all of this delivered, and out churros were still nice and hot by the time we got to them. I'll definitely order from here again. Had an amazing taco salad here. One of things I've noticed in everything I have ordered from here, is the freshness of the ingredients and also very distinct delicious flavors. So many mexican carts are good, but don't really stand out to you. This definitely stands out and is worth the trip!! I also on another visit ordered the taquitos and I pictured just plain old taquitos, but they came with fresh salsa made right there and were not just bland. My GO-TO place to order in SE! The Taco Salad is terrific (I switch between the chicken or the asada). The Tostada is a mini taco salad and just as good! Taco salads don't hold up well, but theirs has been crisp and fresh ever time. The travel time has never harmed the quality of the food! (I've picked up food here as well, so I've had delivered and picked up--all good!) The ONLY problem I have is you can't order a side of anything...lol...so when I order, I usually order an extra taco, and write in the comments: "I don't want this taco!!! I want extra sour cream on the taco salad!" or something like that--works every time. My husband gets the street tacos and switches up the meat. He is not a big fan of Mexican food, but he really likes the street tacos so, phew, I finally get some good Mexican food. The prices are excellent for what you get. read more

We came here because of all the hype reviews. The quality was really great and it was made with the freshest ingredient and all but I was actually disappointed in the food. The food was bland. The grilled chicken was not seasoned or something as it did not really taste authentic and same goes for the asada. The carne asada had a really strong peppery taste, mainly the pepper overpowered the rest of the taste of the asada and other seasonings. Im not sure how they do chimichangas here or was it just badly made because it was a Tuesday special. I saw picture of it on yelp looking extra crunchy but mine came pretty soggy and soft (even thought it was a take out, it was like 5 minutes from my house). The inside was alright nothing that jump out. It tasted straight up like a bean burrito with cheese it wasn't that great with all the ooze supposedly beans? The three additional side was superb though! Salsa, sour cream and delicious guacamole. I was looking forward to the asada fries but mine was really dry. I thought it suppose to have cheese sauce in it? Mine didn't come with cheese sauce just shredded cheese, asada, sour cream and a freshly made salsa on top. Some pieces of french fry were over fried so it was extra crispy and crunchy. All in all maybe we came in the wrong time? But it wasn't that great compared to the copious amount of Mexican food carts on 82nd stripe. But I'll have to say they use fresh ingredients, clean environment, fresh to order. The additional sour cream, salsa and guacamole on the side to accompany the chimichanga was a nice touch to showcase their fresh ingredients. Maybe I will try other menu items next time. read more

OMG!!! This little jewel is amazing!!! They have a Great setup - covered patio tables and a walk up to food truck style Mexican food!! They have a large piece of land with everything you need for a Fantastic meal!! Great hot and mild sauce which Both have Great flavor!! Fire! Took a Lyft here to pickup to go order. It's in a parking lot, but who cares?! Called ahead to order Chicken Nachos, a Chicken Burrito without a Tortilla, and it's all gone. Eaten. Dunzo. The food is amazing and fresh! Freshly friend Corn Tortilla Chips are a nice touch. I would have preferred an option of whole beans, and the cheese sauce on the nachos was a little strange, but they get a pass for being awesome. Great prices and fantastic food! It looked good, I bit into my chimichanga and there was a small rock in it. Kind of made me lose my appetite. I thought it was a tooth at first, thank god it wasn't. Street tacos were so good that I ended up eating 8 tacos from 4. Chorizo, al pastor taco would go toe to toe with best tacos I had from Oaxaca Mexico. I have been looking for a good mexican food place here since moving from California and this place is amazing!! I got there carne asada fries and chimichangas, first off they didn't charge extra for the 2 meats with is rare and she was soooooo nice and accommodating this is my second time buying from a food truck out here and the first time was great but this place is so awesome it's not hard to get parking and theres no rush to move your car or anything it's easy to find and the food is as authentic as I can imagine and I came from southern California and spent alot of time in San Diego so that's a complete win! read more

Amazing ingredients, perfect place for great burritos out here on 82nd and the price is ridiculously reasonable. I honestly was hoping that it would be half as good as it ended up being since it's so far out from downtown and so inexpensive.
