5/5 Service and Ambiance on this section of SE Division Street. Super cute cozy standing room only cafe offers Cold Press Juices, Smoothies, Acai Bowls & More. It's a cool quick stop as you walk through this lovely area of town. 3/5 for drinks we got this afternoon, nothing really stood out. Smoothies and Slushies are $8.99 each. I got the Ginger Lemonade, it tasted refreshing at first but you had to drink in quickly as the ice melted away which altered the flavor. I liked the kick of a freshly squeezed ginger. My daughter enjoyed the Berry Rico (Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries & banana, almond milk), not too thick or liquified though it tasted more banana than berries. It doesn't have its own restroom though the staff told me I could use Tea & Tea next door and I did. Tea & Tea restroom provides toilet seat covers. Free street parking around the neighborhood. read more

When I walked in I was offered free samples which was a nice surprise! I am a huge fan of smoothie bowls and get frustrated that a lot of places close early. I am grateful that xocotl is here to satisfy my smoothie bowl dinner cravings!! The tropical bowl was super tasty and there was no issue subbing the kiwi for strawberries on top. The coconut and granola were both a perfect crunchy complement to the smoothie. My one suggestion is to have the bowls with a smaller size option. The bowls are $15 and they are just too big for me to finish and you can't really save leftovers. A smaller option for a few dollars less would be perfect. read more

After recommended this spot by a coworker, I really wanted to try it out! Located in a small food hall, the cafe is accompanied by a Hispanic grocery store, food carts, and other food stalls. The cafe doesn't have seating in the store itself, but there are tables that the vendors all share inside. Service here was so quick and the cashier was very kind. My friends and I ordered two smoothies and an avocado toast and everything was so delicious! I really enjoyed my xoco-coco smoothie, and I've never had anything like it. It wasn't an overwhelming sweet and you could definitely have it as a supplement for a meal (ie. breakfast) because of how thick it is (it kept me full for a while). And the coconut smoothie and avocado toast were also so delicious. I don't think there's another place like this in Portland, so it is definitely a go-to. And, I would love to come back to try their bowls! read more

Pretty happy this place moved into the neighborhood! We got the 3 pictured smoothies. They are pretty big and our family is 4 couldn't finish them all! Next time we'd probably order 2 and ask to have 1 split into 2 for our kids. Man behind the counter taking orders was very kind. Place was very clean, bright with fun upbeat music playing! This place makes the best green drink I have ever had. They use all fresh ingredients blended beautifully. They know what they're doing. This may sound petty, but the name... No one knows how to pronounce it and it throws everyone off. I've tried to describe the place to people and I'm at a loss. I don't know what it's called. They should've named it something more easily accessible. I'll bet their business would triple overnight if they did that. read more

I have been hunting for a good acai spot since leaving LA and I'm so glad I found Xocotl! My bowl was delicious and the portion size was generous - I walked away full and super satisfied. Also, they have passionfruit as an add on which is hard to come by at other bowl and smoothie shops but it is my absolute FAVE. I only wish they had another storefront closer to where I live in NE so I could come more often! read more

Wowza. We had about 36 hours in Portland and it was ridiculously hot outside. Before heading back to Seattle we somehow stumbled into Xocotl. When we first walked in we were hot with the coldest air conditioning possible - very grateful for this in the desert-like temps. The menu items are very "punny" (I decided to get the "Green-go" smoothie LOL). I love that they use real ingredients in their drinks, and that everything tastes so fresh! There is also a market and restaurant/bar connected to Xocotl so it was fun exploring before hitting the road. One more highlight - they make their own chamoy! Yummy! read more

So glad I got to stop by Xocotl to try their amazing drinks and smoothie bowls! Everything you see here are ALL NATURAL; there's no ice or added sugar to any of their products! It really made me feel like I was on vacation, enjoying a refreshing fruit smoothie on the beach despite it being cloudy in Portland sometimes! I guess this is the first time I've had a real smoothie. Probably not fair to compare it to its alliterative franchise smoothie place. This is a giant cup of frozen fruit and juice. No fillers or ice. I even love the texture of the various pulps in it. I wish I had sprung for the passion fruit on my c3ko. 8 bucks already seemed a little steep so I had trouble paying a dollar more. My complaints are that the menu is kind of all over the place literally. Some menus have prices, some don't. It's a lot of input. Service was friendly but Also I could see the service getting bogged down. I know this weekend when it's 110 I'd love to be having one of their smoothies but I know everyone else will. read more

Decent açaí bowl (we got the xoco bowl), I liked how the cacao tasted but overall pretty basic and I wish there was a greater variety of ingredients in the bowl. But 4 stars bc huge portions for a $13 bowl! Lots of seating available in the indoor area shared between several diff businesses. Parking was kinda hard to find so we had to walk a bit from a residential area where we street parked. read more

Location and overall look of the place was great. Food was also pretty good and the ingredients were fresh. My only complaint is that the lids to the bowls don't fit the bowl at all and had a small piece of masking tape holding one side down. Wasn't enough tape and the lid popped off in my car sending most of the bowl onto the floor. A fitting lid might have saved it. But I'd still come here lids or not. read more

Xocotl is by far the best smoothie shop in the area, I've gone twice and gotten different smoothies and both were delicious. For me I like when I smoothie can last me a shopping trip and these can! They are a perfect bang for your buck. The people who work here are sooo kind and sweet, you can tell it's run by a lovely community. They had the windows open when I last went and it was nice to be able to stand watching cars past and enjoy my smoothie for a bit. read more

This place is great and the staff are very friendly. I've only tried two smoothies and the avocado toast and just wanted to leave the feedback that you don't need the agave in some of your smoothies. We are in the middle of a big move East; moving is no fun. We had to leave the house for a showing, and stumbled on Xocotl. I definitely walked out feeling better than when I arrived. My bowl was as delicious and fresh as anything I've ever tasted. I had the Aguacate bowl, with fresh vegetables and fruit. Complex flavor conbination that worked. It was cold, which made it all the more refreshing on a hot August day in PDX. There was a line, but given the result, it went fast and was 100% worth it. The person who made my bowl was obviously particular and proud of his creation. I love Xocotl. We went back when we had the next house showing. I ordered the champola de coco, which is coconut, vanilla and soursop. For $7.99, I was a little disappointed. There wasn't anything special about it, it had a strong vanilla and coconut flavor. Couldn't detect much of the soursop. It was a bit sweet to my liking. However, I really do like how everything is made with all natural and fresh ingredients. read more

So good that we came back a second time in one day. The entire menu is full of healthy options, and all made with real fruit! We ordered the Rojo and Verde which were both so refreshing and healthy. Came back the second time, and ordered the Amarillo, Ginger Lemon tea, and Esquite. The garlic fries were spicy in the best way, perfectly crisp, and served steaming hot. The Duck Stack (pancakes covered with duck gravy, onions, and a duck egg) sounded a bit odd to me (and probably many others). When I asked the server if it was good, they told me that people travel to the restaurant specifically for that dish. I'm glad I tried it. Again, very unique with a well balanced spice profile paired with the delicious undertones of a hot pancake. I know I would have never thought of that, doesn't sound like it should work, but....it worked! Service was great, atmosphere was a bit loud with a band playing next door, it was a bit overwhelming, plus a random dude walked into the restaurant and a server lit his joint for him as a courtesy(?)...stunk the place up for a few minutes, but as I thought about it, I decided that was about the most "Portland" thing I had seen all week on my trip :) I'll be going back for sure, I would love to taste through that entire menu. Did I mention the Foie Gras Dumplings? I never had anything like them in my life. That's a dish I would definitely travel back to Portland for.

We were greeted with fresh, hot beignets to start, which was such a treat. My husband enjoyed the Mexican Mocha, and I had the London Fog, both were perfect for warming up on a chilly morning. We couldn't decide what to order, so we split the Huevos Rancheros, and wow... it was AUHMAZING too! It was loaded with zucchini, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, spinach, and caramelized onions. We added linguiça sausage, which took it over the top. Every bite was delicious. Definitely, you can share a sandwich especially if you're having fries. The fries were delicious--crispy and flavorful on the outside, perfectly hot and mushy on the inside. Yum!
