Now, I wasn't expecting them to comp anything, but it was pretty clear I wasn't happy and an apology would have been nice along with a free drink or something. Usually better known establishments try to do something when they mess up. Anyway, I got my burrito and this time it had a nice long hair wrapped around it. I was done then and there. Told them again, and no refund they just took it and it came back out in seconds...I think they just took the hair off and re-served it to me. I threw it away and had to go elsewhere for lunch. Lastly, and this isn't really on the restaurant, but while I was waiting for my food there was this one loud table of men talking about politics that just made the vibe of this place undesirable. I think people should be able to talk about whatever they want, but be a little courteous to the others in the room with you. Not everyone is a MAGA fanboy. This place really changed and its unfortunate. Used to be one of the best spots for cali-burrito in town, emphasis on "used to be." There's a healthy amount of local breweries and burger shops. There is only so much sushi and ramen and Korean BBQ a man can eat. Something about a simple burrito feels homely, comforting. This place is a simple food truck with a permanent address: right next to the Societe Brewing Company. Walk up to a big touch-screen, order your food, process the payment yourself, and wait. Grab a beer, sit in your car, listen for a text message when your food is ready. Simple transactions, simple but good Mexican food. No need to interact with anyone, no need to fiddle with cash or tips or whatever. I've come back three times in three weeks and am eternally grateful that this place is here. All other taquerias nearby are bland and overpriced, I highly recommend trying this place out.

I visit Havana Grill whenever I want some tasty oxtail.  I noticed oxtail was one of the specials.  Last time I visited the oxtail was on the regular menu and you could order it anytime. Oxtail was extremely tender and juicy.  The mix of beef flavor and the spices in the sauce were delicious.  This is my favorite oxtail dish in town. French fries were crisp and had a delicious fried flavor.  The oil was fresh and there was no aftertaste.  Excellent fries. Pineapple upside down cake was dense and did not have a fresh baked aura.  The outside part was starting to harden like it was getting stale so I guess it was baked at least a day ago.  Cake had a mostly mild flavor.  I didn't taste the pineapple though the top was lined with it.  I did taste a ton of ginger flavor.  It appears pieces of ginger were mixed in with the pineapple.  I love ginger as part of soy/ginger seasoning for fish but not in a cake.  This is one of the worst pineapple upside down cakes I have had.  My favorite is at Roy's where you have to give them 30 minute notice and they bake it to order.  Roy's version was piping hot out of the oven, was moist and fluffy, with amazing pineapple flavor.
