My friend and I came here while walking around the area, and we loved it!! It's such a cute set up. For my gluten free peeps - they have gluten free crackers (amen). The cheese, meat, fruit, and wine was all delicious and fresh, and I was extremely tempted to buy huge slabs of cheese to take home, lol. We easily got a seat, although I have a suspicion this isn't common - so I'd prepare to scope it out or wait a little for things to shift if you're just walking up to it. As a spot that markets itself for wine, we expected alot more. The selection seems unique and diverse enough, but the quality is just horrendous. A sparkling brut rose, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc that costed as much as a Sancerre or good Pinot from France would, yet felt like I was blindfolded drinking boxed wine. I appreciate how intentional they are about creating a space for wine / cheese / charcuterie vibes but I truly am flabbergasted by the quality of their wine program. My friends and I stopped by to grab a drink while visiting UM at the bar. Service by a bartender (didn't catch their name) was absolutely terrible. He never checked in with us, we constantly had to flag him down. And even when we tried to crack jokes, be friendly he absolutely seemed like he didn't want to be there. I understand being busy and maybe overwhelmed but this experience felt like we were taking up his time and we should go.... Additionally other people sat and eventually left because he never even address them. Turns out it was a family that all came in together, letting their eight year olds sit at the bar and everything. I wish I had known that before dropping $90 on two tiny cocktails and a medium charcuterie board. The board- I ordered the meat and cheese combo board. I got several chunks of orange wax, two microscopic wedges of "brie" and two small piles of salami and ham with a sliced strawberry, grapes, and mini pickles ($39). That was BS, bruh. It was so flavorless, I thought I must have Covid. You pick your drinks up at the register, but still get that flip screen that starts with a 30% tip and goes down to 20%. Driven by guilt and shame, I selected 20% on top of the $75 snack. They are more expensive than an airport news stand and taste way worse. read more

Super disappointing. My partner and I came to the market for lunch and ended up at La Jambe since they have seats. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and burrata salad, both with sides of tomato soup. They let us know that even though it was 12:15, their tomato soup still wasn't warm yet so we waited. The grilled cheese was okay but definitely not worth the price and there was no tomato soup to dip it in. The burrata salad was pretty bad. I didn't taste any dressing on the arugula and it was about 50% rotten leaves. The burrata itself was just okay. The pear slices were good. When the soup was finally served, it was still cold so they packed it up to go. The only reason they're getting two stars instead of one is because the server was nice and he comped the soups. read more

Service is why only one star. We ordered from a young woman who constantly checks her phone. It was a Saturday night. No seating so we looked for another table close by. We told her/the cashier we would keep an eye once seating opened. When two seats opened at the bar, my friend and I moved to their bar. We ordered a bottle of Sancerre and a charcuterie plate. We were waiting for the food. This guy with a beard from behind the counter tells us in the most rude way we cannot sit there. Next to us was a couple with a beer can and one to go food container who had clearly had been sitting there awhile. So we ordered a bottle of wine and charcuterie plate from your establishment and you are telling us to leave? Did it have anything to do with my friend being of color? Then we had to show him our receipt because our word was not enough and the cashier we ordered from was not assisting. I didn't create a scene because hadn't seen my friend in awhile and I did not want the evening to be marked by this rude individual. But it was insulting and she was not happy. The charcuterie plate took a really long amount of time. Why? Because the busser/dishwasher was the one who sliced the meats and prepared the plate. He was the only one working while the other two looked at their phones or did anything but attend to guests. Not his fault but what were the other two doing there? When the plate arrived, I asked bearded man for utensils and napkins. No eye contact or anything from him. He seemed annoyed. Seriously, what is this place about? And we had to wait for the utensils. And I had to ask again for the napkins. Meanwhile the busser, who is doing everything, accidentally breaks glasses when taking out the dishwasher because he was rushing. Felt bad for the guy because he was honestly the only one working at all. But the other two did absolutely nothing to help him. I couldn't believe it. They acted like nothing happened and the poor busser had to clean it up alone while still doing everything. Hello Jambe owner/manager, Please treat your customers with respect because your employees do not reflect respect. We will not be back. Plenty of other places to go. And you should triple the salary of your bus boy, who is doing it all, and remind your bearded staff member, that the word host is in hospitality. This is not a cheese shop. The staff don't know the cheeses. They don't know how to cut cheese and for a half a pound you might get 3 cuts. Plus, the staff go immediately from clearing dirty plates to cutting cheese. No hand hygiene performed. Bar might be fine, did not experience that. read more
