    This is not a "fancy" DC Italian place. It is a place where you get reasonably priced and good comfort food and great drinks. So for what it is, 5 stars. If you want swanky top notch Italian, go elsewhere. My friends and I have been enjoying this place over and over again, consistently, for years. None of us have ever tasted better frose, and for the price tag $12, it's a steal. The food is always consistent and tasty. Our favorites are fettuccine Alfredo, vodka sauce, eggplant parm, chicken parm, salmon, and pesto chicken sandwich . I also find the quality of mussels here to always be excellent, plump, tasty, well cooked. They seem to always have the same servers on staff every time, which I think is also a good comment on the way the place is run.

    The food was amazing! My friend and I had the Cheese Tortellini Vodka Pasta and the Caprese Pizza. The tortellini was AMAZING, very filling and warm. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and cozy on what was a warm and windy Saturday in DC.

    Last night marked our third visit, and we loved it just as much as the first! As always, the food and drinks were excellent--perfectly portioned and reasonably priced. The staff was fantastic, and the tiramisu, as usual, was simply divine. I had the Carbonara, my go-to dish, while my partner tried the Chicken Francaise over pasta for the first time--both were flawless! We used to have a favorite Italian spot closer to us that, unfortunately, closed down, but last night's visit may have just secured this as our new go-to! (I would love to share photos of our entrées, but we ate them too fast for me to take photos lol)

    We went for dinner with the party of eight and had an average experience. We got a bunch of starters and they were nothing to rave about and then the main courses are OK at best - for example, my salmon was extra dry and the vegetables were undercooked although I did hear decent things about the eggplant and chicken Parmesan and steak dishes that others in my party ordered. To summarize that we had an average non memorable experience

    Wow!!!! This was truly an experience, boyyy, the food here was straight out of Italy. The flavors, the seasoning, the portions. Everything hit! Brunch at DIK has become my new obsession. The drinks were truly unlimited and I was left very satisfied. Our server was really friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed.

    It's froze season!!! My friends book a table for us here a few times during the summer because we're such huge fans of the froze. The food is great as well. I've tried the eggplant parmesan, the arancini, the grilled salmon with pasta and a few other things and though I can't speak to their authenticity, I found everything to be delicious. You definitely won't be disappointed if you happen to stop by here when you're in the area.

    I absolutely INHALED the chicken parm. SO good. Very charming neighborhood spot with great service. The caprese was small (and rather dry) and the garlic bread was underwhelming. Saddened to bring my 4 down to a 3. I reviewed too soon. For dessert, I ordered an espresso martini and received an absolutely undrinkable mix of Bailey's and Kahlua. This was the first time I have ever sent a drink back. The staff was very nice about it and took the drink off our check, but I was very disappointed.

    Came to DIK bar with my kickball team for bottomless brunch and had a great time. The restaurant is spacious and accommodating for large groups. I wouldn't come here with high expectations, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself! If you find yourself here, the Bottomless White Sangria is my favorite. I recommend it over the other bottomless drink options. I tried the Tortellini Cardinali and was relatively happy with it. The flavors were good, but the pasta was overcooked. The Greek Pizza was surprisingly decent too, and a good and filling option for Sunday Funday. The garlic bread was average. I make better garlic bread at home. With that said, it's $4 so if that's what you're craving, eat your heart out!

    Very good. We had a couple of cocktails , the carbonara and the chicken parm. Slightly busy but it wasn't too bad. Would go back.

We weren't talking loud, we weren't drinking before and being obnoxious, we just wanted to ask about what some of the drinks were like on a very cool menu of cocktails we haven't tried anywhere else. Another man came over who we thought was going to take our orders. Nope. He starts picking up our menus so I say, "Oh, hey we haven't ordered yet." To which he replies, "OK, but I need the menus." Alright cool, yeah, that makes sense if he needed them for other tables and can leave us with a few to share. Nope. He just took them and placed them back at the host stand. Awkward stares across the table again. Whatever, we had enough, I guess. Tick tock, tick tock. A third guy came over, and when he smiled and asked, "Hi are you all ready to order?" I was like "Oh finally a human being!" Food took another 20-ish minutes while we nursed our drinks and really had no interest in ordering another round (not that anyone asked us). We ate. We chatted. We had an okay time. We were super ready to get out of there. Oh right, the mozz sticks. Le Mont'zarella sticks. They had one order left of four sticks for $18. We were one of the first diners. You can imagine after all the above, that's just a major facepalm emoji. Assessment/Plan: Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for Le Mont Royal to improve their service, now and at the hour of ASAP, because the place has so much potential, and maybe it was just an off night, or the staff just finished arguing with each other in the back so they took it out on us, but dearly beloved Lord it was like we offended nine generations of their ancestry from the moment we walked in. With "a 22% service charge has been added for your convenience," I thought we were getting Punk'd. The always-changing French-Canadian menu is a cool and unique concept, but it's a lot of bark with very little bite. It didn't make the disappointing service worth it.
