Great spot to grab food and just sit outside for a bit. It's fully vegan, and everything tastes like it was made with real care, not like generic "vegan substitute" food. The menu is small, but that's clearly because they're making things in house rather than pulling from a distributor, and you can taste the difference. The person running the place was genuinely warm and accommodating, happy to answer questions and make suggestions. It's the kind of small business energy that's rare to find these days. Excited to do another review in Oxnard on my birthday! I ventured to Oxnard to see how clean the beach house needed to be, and among other things whether it was in good shape. Outside of this I looked up places to eat and the pictures of the food service etc. I found this place nearby. From the outside, parking was tough to find, difficult to find the place since it is small in a clustered area with homes and a few other shops. The place itself is quite nice inside and right to the side of it. They had outside decorative seats which were nice to look at. Service was great! The woman told us the bold truth about what is good in a pleasant way. She told us the ingredients and how each was a highlight. One of the dishes I wanted to order was the gyro sandwich but it didn't have a key ingredient available at the time. It was the tzatziki sauce. It was a vegan kind that really increases the flavor of the gyro sandwich. Outside of this, she didn't recommend it without that sauce. I ordered the shoreline burrito which the person at front claimed was popular and it looked good from the pictures. The only flaw was the price to value. The ingredients were good quality but did not have that large amount I expected. It was $21 for the burrito with some tortilla chips on the side. I was still hungry after and although it tasted fine, so so or slightly above average, it wasn't really a great value. But everything else was decent. Just that one flaw was disappointing. I found it to be okay to try it out if you want to eat healthy at least, the ingredients are decent quality. read more

I don't understand how a container of to go soup was $36 with a 10% tip! I checked my bank account the next day and was flabbergasted. Granted I didn't look at the price but I wasn't thinking in those numbers. PS- the soup was just OK it wasn't anything special. read more

It's a real treat to find such a wonderful place with gluten free options in the neighborhood. The first time we came my daughter ordered the gyro and it was excellent. This morning we ordered a bagel and burger. My daughter forgot to specify that she has a gluten allergy and we didn't realize until the food was made. The owner made another burger and refused payment, and let us keep the first one that was made, which is why we understood just how tasty it was. I had an amazing experience here today!! The owners are so very sweet and easy to talk to. We ordered the burger and Cesar salad and let me say everything was delicious. You can tell they put love into their food and they don't use generic brand names. The bean patty is house made. My non vegan dad was very impressed by the food. Omg why haven't I heard about this cafe til today! I got the shoreline burrito, nachos, and the ship wreck smoothie! Let me say.. it was fireworks at first bite! The burrito had so much flavor, every bite I took I wanted more! Nachos were amazing with really good vegan cheese.. it wasn't powdery vegan cheese like other establishment. It had a nice chipotle smoky taste, with all the yummy toppings. The homemade guacamole pico was delicious it just made both of the dishes an even more explosion in your mouth. To cool off the spice, the smoothie is a must try! I'm so happy and excited to have a vegan place so close to home. I will definitely be back to try every single item on the menu. I stopped by to try this vegan charm and was pleasantly surprised at the casual atmosphere and home style vegan food they have to offer. The man running the place is super chill and really cool. They explain everything in the menu and there is not a lot to choose from, but just the right amount. I ordered the North Jetty Bagel and he was out of bagels but suggested using a baguette instead. Was recommended to me by a good friend of mine! I haven't tried the food yet BUT grabbed myself a smoothie called the "Shipwreck" and it didn't disappoint! Was filled with bananas, coconut, cacao nibs, dates, and I believe almond milk. The smoothie was blended to perfection and not overly sweet! The bun was soft and slightly crisp on outside like a good pretzel bun (not crispy like a chip but nicely done if that makes sense). The burger was flavorful and moist.
