After reading about these jewelers cheating Drew Bree's I've decided to add my experience with these people . I had a few pieces of 22k jewelry that was bought for me and was no longer wearing. I brought a bracelet into them and was helped by a overweight cousin who works for them who took my bracelet and looked it it with a loop and told me is was plated and he would give me a nominal amount for it. I told him it was 22 c and he said absolutely not and offered me a 10% increase on first offer. I felt like I was being cheated and left. I then took it to another jeweler and was told definitely 22c and was paid a fair price for the weight and purity of the gold. I never said anything for 10 years until I saw the news about the Bree's couple. This family owned business is not a refutable jewelry store. Beware! read more

Several weeks ago I was walking by this shop and saw some amazing rings in the window. I brought my boyfriend back this weekend and we went inside. We had just come from a hike, so were dressed very casually. I have been to many, many higher end jewelry stores and this was by far and away the most positive experience I've ever had. First, and most importantly to me, we were treated with complete respect, despite looking young and casual. Secondly, they were both incredibly helpful and not pushy whatsoever. The entire shop is full of gorgeous jewelry. We are not easy to please, but were wowed by their inventory. We found two beautiful rings and the owner was patient and helpful with us. He showed us the rings EGL and GIA certifications, which I felt was a very honest thing to do. Clearly, the EGL certs show the ring at a higher value, which he could've leaned on to raise the price. Instead, he had the ring certified at GIA, which is the only real reputable certification AND which almost always lowers the value of the diamond. They allowed us to take photos of the paperwork and of me wearing the rings. We left and went to lunch to mull over our options. Less then an hour later, we were back purchasing one of the two rings we had fallen in love with. Perhaps, the second ring will find it's way onto my other finger very soon. :) Bottom line, H. Moradi has insane pieces at very respectable prices, they treat you very well, aren't pushy and are honest and straightforward. Went there today and they were just great. Very easy and not pushy at all. I found a simply beautiful ring that I thought would be way out of my price range.... but they came down enough that I could afford it! I traded in some old gold jewelry and they gave me a higher price for the trade then the other stores I visited! They even sized the ring I bought for FREE and did it right there on the spot - I only waited about a half hour for it to be ready. I think this is a wonderful place to buy and sell quality jewelry! I wish that I could give this jeweler a review as good as the others, but If I could give them zero stars, I would. My fiancé and I bought my engagement ring from here and had nothing but bad experiences. Please note, I never write reviews and am not at all a difficult person to please. I felt it was very important for people to know how dishonest and unprofessional this business can be. I found a beautiful ring here unlike any other I had seen before. I was given a price quote and returned the next day with my fiancé. When I asked how much this ring cost, I was given a price $1500 greater than the previous price quoted. Please know, this price was only for the setting and did not include the stone, so there was no reason for the price to vary this greatly. When the store employee gave me the price during the second visit, I told him I was quoted a cheaper price the day prior. The employee responded very rudely and stated "why would you ask me the price if you already know what it is?" It was clear from the beginning that this business was not professional and that information could vary greatly depending on the staff member or customer asking. The only reason I continued after this was because I loved the ring and had not found a similar one anywhere else. So, the employee ended up giving us the original price quoted, which I appreciated. We went elsewhere for the center stone, as I was not comfortable buying something so expensive from here. I had the ring re-sized here and when I picked it up, found that the added portion to make the ring larger did not match the rest of the ring at all. The flaw was visible only on the palm side of the ring, so I let it go and decided it wasn't a huge deal. I thought I could simply forget about this jeweler and not return, only to find that after several months of wearing my engagement ring, the portion where they had resized the ring, was beginning to discolor and become dark, almost black. The ring is made entirely of white gold, so it should not do this. I took the ring to another jeweler who repaired it beautifully and stated the previous jeweler (H Moradi) had done a very poor job and had likely not used white gold to resize the ring. I would certainly not return here and do not recommend others visit this store either. Though I have not let the store know about this issue, I plan to let them know next time I'm in La Jolla. read more

I have probably gone to almost every jewelry and diamond store in the San Diego area over the last couple of months looking for an engagement ring. The staff and the owners at H Moradi were very straight forward and helpful. The diamonds and rings were excellent and I didn't feel pushed in any way. I really feel I got the best ring for a great price and I will be going back to them for all my other jewelry purchases. I'm very excited to give this ring to my girl, and all of her friends have said there is not a doubt that she will love it. H. Moradi has nice pieces of jewelry at a reasonable price. Most of the pieces I tried on were very high quality, and the individuals working there were willing to negotiate on price. They also didn't make me feel awkward while I was browsing by following me everywhere, or acting like I was wasting their time when I didn't buy something right away. I appreciate businesses that don't automatically assume that because I'm in my 20s I'm just there to waste their time. Its not true, and H Moradi realizes that. While I didn't find exactly what i was looking for this time, I will absolutely go back again the next time I'm in the market for an antique piece. read more

Customer service is terrible, my husband and I where headed home after a full day on our yacht, and we where dressed down coming back from a relaxing day and I ask him if we could stop in the jewelry store to maybe pick up a necklace or earrings.
