Visited 7/24/2019 Wow This new little Indian Casino is a great way to have a little fun after getting some of the best priced gas around. There is a great little convenience store attached to the casino. The people working in the casino we're very friendly and informative. All the slot machines were brand new and fun to play. I even hit a few bonuses which always help you play a lot longer. All in all this is a great one stop shop. Gas, Snacks and Drinks, and Slot Machine Play. Give it a try.

    Cheap gas!

When we travel to Ocotillo Wells for some off-road adventure, we always plan a stop at LJ Indian Trading Post. When you need to fill up several vehicles and get 60+ gallons of fuel, this place saves us $40 - $60 with the cheapest gas and diesel around. They also have $4 firewood bundles ($2 less than most places) and a really good hot deli (more like a mini fast food place). They also know a lot of their customers have RV's and big motorhomes towing other vehicles or trailers and they have a huge parking lot so it's easy to pull through without any hassle. We had a recent incident where their credit card machines were down so it was cash only. And another time one of their gas pumps was not working so the line with the big RV coaches and trailers made it a little more difficult to get in. We ended up blocking the entrance. If they have those issues in the future, I'd suggest they have an employee directing traffic to the working pumps to ease the frustration and traffic jam. It was difficult to pull in and out when some pumps are down. Aside from the cheap gas, they have all the other items you'd typically find at a convenience store but for a little less than if you visit a store off the reservation. I'm fairly sure that the gas and items are less expensive here since they are exempt from having to charge certain taxes on a reservation. It's fairly easy to get in and out and they have plenty of parking to pull over after filling up if you need to grab a bite from their deli. They also have two gender-neutral restrooms that are cleaned regularly and actually have soap and paper towels. It's worth the stop.

So you forgot to fill up before setting out to drive through the countryside. Bam, there goes your fuel warning light. What to do, what to do.. Well if you survive the gauntlet of crotch rockets racing around these back roads you'll find yourself on the La Jolla band of Indian's trading post and gas station. Its a gas station. Not sure why someone posted picks of dudes drinking. If you pass Palomar mountain south grade you'll eventually run into this place. Not much here except expensive gas. - No gas on Palomar mountain.

BBQ Chicken Pizza w/out Onions & a side of Ranch... Yum

La Jolla 76 Roadside Grill... A hidden delicious gem inside the gas station. I have been several times because the Gas prices are great & the drive is beautiful but what one might miss is the grill. I haven't been disappointed in the foods I have had. In the mornings you can catch the delicious smells of breakfast being made & in the afternoon the delicious smells of burgers with tots. For breakfast I have enjoyed biscuits & gravy & a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich. For lunch I have enjoyed The Blue Cheese Burger & Western Burger (I can't decide which was my favorite burger between the two). Now for the pizza. My favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza, yum. I have tried 4 of the different pizzas but by far bbq chicken just takes it for the win. Now the food may take some time after ordering but they make it fresh & take gas station food to a whole new level. Weekends are definitely busy but that's a given with weekend cruisers, campers from the La Jolla Indian Campground & Zoom Zipline zipliners. This hidden gem of a grill is a must try

SO inexpensive and very clean. Gas station open 24 hours during COVID which allowed us to gas up before our trip to the desert.

RINCON TRAVEL PLAZA - I've been a regular customer at this…read morefuel station, but the current pricing policy is frustrating in practice. They no longer provide fuel prices over the phone, which is their choice as a business. The issue is the inconsistency in how it's applied--while exact pricing isn't shared, there are still comparisons made to nearby stations when asked. That creates confusion rather than clarity. In a commodity market like fuel, customers make decisions based on transparency and trust. When pricing information is partially withheld but still indirectly referenced, it doesn't really reduce competitive pressure--it mainly reduces customer confidence. From a customer standpoint, it would be more effective either to: Provide clear, consistent pricing information, or Maintain a strict no-quote policy without partial comparisons The current middle-ground approach feels less like a strategic advantage and more like unnecessary friction for customers who are simply trying to make an informed decision. A clearer policy would likely improve trust and long-term customer loyalty.

I've passed by this gas station a multitude of times and haven't ever needed to make a stop…read more Decided to check it out recently. I wish I had stopped in sooner. Their soup and salad bar is quite a lovely surprise. Perfect for grabbing a healthier lunch on the go. They have ready made sandwiches and Chester's Chicken that I have yet to try. The price is a little high for the salad bar, $10.99/lb, though it's better tasting than some of the salad bars out there. Salad dressing is Ken's, by the way. Soup containers are 3 sizes with smallest at $4.99. I had the Italian Wedding Soup. The food was delicious. I plan to stop in every time I'm in the area.

First time visiting The Pit Stop on our way to Bates Nut farm, it's on the corner of Valley Center…read moreroad. You can't miss it; it's huge! Plenty of parking and gas stalls; it was pretty busy with lots of cars. When I entered the store, it was massive! So many snacks, merch, drinks, beers and liquor for sale. The store is very clean and up-kept. The prices for the hot food were not bad! Very affordable but the snacks were moderately priced. There's a Chester food joint inside of this store as well, I opted for the Chester's bowl. It's just like KFC famous bowl but with better quality ingredients. Customer service at Chester's was great but slow; they paid attention to details. The pit stop hot food included soups, hot dogs etc. I had the hot dog, it was a little on the overcooked side and their bun was very dry; even though it was individually packaged. I wouldn't go back for their hot dogs. Customer service on the store side was fast; not much interaction but it was fast lol. Would def visit again in the future for gas, drinks and snacks.
