Our car club celebrated my husband's 50th birthday lunch here today. I was very impressed with how they set up the patio area for us. We had about 30+ people (we called a few days ahead for the reservation). The staff were very friendly & did an awesome job getting food & drinks out. The music and atmosphere were perfect also. None of us had been there before so we took a big chance on the food. It did not disappoint. It was fresh & flavorful. Lots of different choices & items, not your "typical" Mexican food menu. We came down from the mountains today on our way back to Los Angeles. We're visiting California all the way from Kansas City. We were pleasantly surprised by our stop for lunch. I was in Dinuba and was extremely hungry one night. Most places were already closing but I found this little spot. I asked what time is closing, and she pretty much said there's not specific time Iiiiiinteresting. Place was pretty clean and has one flat screen showing a movie. I ordered a wet burrito and a torta and I really enjoyed them! When it was time to pay, the cashier said Cash only. But on their cash register and on the front of their door, they accept have VISA and MasterCard. BI guess they said that their system was down or something. LONG BUT PLEASE READ. I'm going to be as nice about this as possible, avoid this place, if you're parked outside and reading this review, do yourself a favor and just drive off. Not only was I disrespected but I was treated as if I were an idiot and knew nothing about the Mexican culture and authenticity of food. You see I have high expectations for Mexican food. I have been around Mexican food my whole life. Both my parents are from Mexico and have visited each of their home states of Jalisco and Michoacan, so I know food and know that fresh ingredientes make the best food so does heart and effort. Not the case here. Again, I will be as nice as possible. The chips are store bought, but I got over it because hey, not everyone has time for that. The alpastor meat was mostly fat and had very little flavor. It was okay, but not something I would order again. My main dish was camarones a la diabla. I was very excited to eat this until it arrived to my table and it looked like a can of tomato sauce was poured over it and brought out to me. Well it wasn't it was actually ketchup. Yes, ketchup. It was the most repulsive order of camarones a la diabla. It made me actually embarassed that they actually sent that to me and called it food. Well anyway, I quickly got the attention of another waitress (not mine) and said I didn't care for the dish if I could have something else instead. I tried not to make a big deal, I only had eaten 1 shrimp before sending it back. Well my main waiter (an older man) said he had to charge me for the plate because there was nothing wrong with it......my jaw dropped. I explained to him that I hadn't eaten but 1 shrimp and it was all ketchup and that wasn't the way the dish was. He argued with me stating "everyone else likes it." I kept my cool and asked about the replacement meal I asked for, he said he was charging everything so I tried canceling the replacement order and he said he had to charge me for that too even though I hadn't received it yet because I had ordered it. He was never apologetic. He didn't communicate with me about my food and wasn't concerned about me being pleased with my visit. By this time I just wanted to leave and be done with this place altogether. So we paid........for EVERYTHING and left.....hungry and without any of the food. But before leaving, there was a little old lady sitting in the corner very quiet. She looked at me and shook her head. She quietly said she was sorry and they had recently changed the recipe. That was the only apology and communication I received. Thank you little old lady for being sincere enough to apologize and give me some sort of closure of why the food sucked so bad. I could tell she was bothered by the way things went down, but if she spoke up she would get in trouble. The one star is for the bowl of cereal I had when I got home! read more

Sad to say I will no longer return to this place after dining here at least 10 times in the past. Was a horrible experience. I came with my lady friend and I had been telling her how great this place was. I look like a novice diner now Bc of it. Well we ordered drinks and after some time we decided on her having camerones a la diabla (a staple in Mexican seafood) and I had a ridiculous 4 item combo, taco, enchilada, chili reneno and tamale which was a very good deal btw. Well the shrimp tasted like ketchup and looked every bit of it. It was quickly sent back and she ordered another item. Well we were told we were to be charged for the horrible shrimp after all so my lady friend cancelled her replacement Bc we would be damned if we were gonna buy three meals from this joint. Well ... And that's a very big WELL he said he had to charge us for that meal as well since he placed the order already..... Less than 30 seconds ago! Well I was done with this place. I finished the things on my plate that were edible paid, gave the waiter a lesson in business then left the "third meal" at the counter and left. This has to be the BEST Mexican food I have had here in California. Yes there are many small taco places that I do love, but as far as a sit down restaurant this place is number ONE! This place was recommended by a friend that said I would love it because of it's authentic and delicious menu, so unlike the places here in Southern California. When I got there I wanted to try everything on the menu, so I tried my best. I started off with a delicious MENUDO, I LOVED IT! Then I had to get the Carne Asada platter, wow soooo good, and then I also ordered Tacos de Carnitas. I made it a point to taste everything and then took the rest home (also just as delicious when you reheat it). La Langoasta if you're going to go there I would highly recommend you go for seafood and not for traditional Mexican food like burritos and tacos this is a seafood specialty restaurant and for that they do an awesome job. I rarely come to Dinuba but when I do this is one of my favorite places to eat Today I had an agua chile and civiche de camaro and washed it down with a michelada model especial. Everything was fresh and spicy as it should be the chelada went down cold and had a good end to a long day of travels. Highly recommend la Langoasta "the lobster" if you still didn't get it. Went for breakfast burritos they advertised for 2.99 paid 1$ extra for an extra meat. I some how paid 15$ for 2 burritos and 2 orange juices. I wanted a sausage and chorizo burrito I got a sausage and bacon on both! And that wasn't the worst part we waited for a good 25 mins and the burritos were so small they didn't even fill us up I could of literally made them at home!
