This place is Great! My daughter and I had an amazing time. Very polite, and everyone made sure to take care of the customers.

This place does not know how to shape nails I wouldn't be surprised if some were not licensed....

I really wanted to like this place. It's just minutes away from my house in a convenient location. I went here on a Sunday evening and got a fill-in and a pedicure. I loved the atmosphere and the vibe. I had a young gentleman do my pedicure and he did a really great job. On my hands the owner did that part. After getting serviced, I went about my way. On Wednesday I noticed my pinky nail shellac chipped. I was just going to let it slide and wait until I go back to get my nails done again but then my thumbnail did the same thing. The shellac started peeling up on the corner of my nail and it came off. This is only three days after receiving services. This has never ever happened to me before this fast. I do not mind paying whatever I need to for any service but I do mind it when I pay $102 for it and the products/work are not of quality. The shellac that was put on my fingernails is too thick and I think that may be the problem. I just left from getting the two nails that had the shellac chipping on them repaired and the mom serviced me this time. The job she did on my nails is terrible. The shellac is very bulky my nail looks very unnatural shaped and I'm just not satisfied. Maybe they are good at just plain nail polish but the shellac I feel that they apply it too thick and that makes room for the shellac to start peeling up on the edges of your nails and chipping away. I will not be going back here solely because I feel that the quality of their work does not last. Everyone that I came in contact with was very nice but nice doesn't account for $102 going down the drain. Ive used La Luna before but today I wanted a pretty manicure and pedicure but the tech didn't speak any english and wanted me to have gel nails. I said no just plain buff color but she said it won't last get gel. I paid for the pedicure no color and no manicure! so disappointed. read more

This place is under new ownership, I would give it another shot. But this personal experience was just really awkward. The whole place is empty, all the employees are on their phone. I love the convenience of this salon being not too far from my house, but the last couple times I've gone have been insanely disappointing. I have set up appointments the last two times I have been in and have waited at least 30 minutes after my appointments each time. Today I showed up for my scheduled mani/pedi and waited 30+ minutes. Nothing was offered to me while I waited nor was anything communicated to me. I unfortunately had to leave today because I would've been late to a prior engagement had I stayed and continued to wait for my services. This place does great work but truly needs to improve on its customer service. If there is going to be a significant wait time that needs to be communicated to the customer, especially if an appointment has been made in advance. I hope to be back in soon, but this is definitely an area of much needed improvement for this salon. read more

Communication is poor in this salon. Employees speak Vietnamese and don't understand English well. The salon is lovely, but they need English speakers on duty at all times. I did not get the manicure I asked for, and when I gave them a gift card I was given for my birthday, I was told it had already been used. I have been coming to this salon for over a year. The last two times l had Vivian do my pedicure and nails. She's fast and does a great job but never does a hand massage after a dip. For $50 l don't think it's too much to expect. Esp since all other techs have done it. With my deluxe pedicure she plopped a bunch of lotion on the top of my legs then preceded to wrap them in hot towels without rubbing it in. She might be fast but she lacks customer service. I went here on a Sunday around 3pm, and it's pretty busy! Be sure to make an appointment so you can be seen right away. Overall, this nail salon definitely has nail technicians who know what they are doing - they are very attentive to detail and if you are not satisfied or see that your nails aren't the way you want to be, they make sure to correct it. I went here to do a pedicure spa and manicure. Brandon did the French tip on my toes and did a very nice job! The spa was relaxing and pleasant. Van and Jade also did the design with gold flakes on my nails, and I love it! They were really fast and I am so pleased with how my nails came out. Definitely recommend coming, the salon is clean, staff is friendly, and they also give complimentary drinks! read more

I have came here many times but the unless you get gel polish on your pedicure, don't expect the paint to look good. I can see streaks and uneven spots. I even asked if they could paint closer to the sides of my toe and was told in the past that was the closest they could when I could clearly see nail space. The deluxe pedicure does give you a good scrub and wax dip. They didn't use the file when normal places do to get heals smooth. Maybe she couldn't see well since she had glasses. They also do not offer fans to dry your toes. They expect you to leave and said it takes an hour to dry! read more

La Luna does a superb job. This is the second time I've been here since they have opened and I'm very pleased with my service. They are clean, have a sleek, clean and elegant look. I also love the selection of polishes. I tried a foil for the first time and absolutely love it. I will definitely be doing the foil again! Yeah it's expensive but my nail tech Taylor is awesome and was able to do the foil over the dip. The last time I did a dip, it lasted a full month. Yes. A month and probably would've lasted longer had I not started messing with it right before my appointment this morning. Complimentary drink selection is great. This place has really gone downhill. Scheduled a pedi, was seated waited 20 minutes in the chair, I hear the door chime, I look up and a woman walks into the salon and straight to me. She puts her stuff on the floor and starts filling the tub, no hi or eye contact. I say hello, she points to the water I put my feet in and she immediately pulls one out and start on my cuticles. No oil doesn't push them back nothing. I asked if she could please start with the first steps of a basic pedi she does one toe then keeps going. I motion to the owner and ask her if she can ask the tech to push back the cuticles etc. She says "SHE DID" I'm like, "no, iasked her to but she didnt". They say something not in English then start laughing, I should have pulled my wet feet out and into my sandals and left but did I? Nope. Worst pedicure of my life AND I had treated my self to the fancier and more expensive one. Mistake. It gets worst. My feet are in parafin bags and I see the tech gather up her stuff and SHE WALKS OUT OF THE SHOP....I wait and finally the owner walks over and pulls my feet out of the bags, slaps some polish on my yes and says "you wait or pay now?" I paid, no tip and will take my $55 bucks somewhere else next time. read more

Been coming for a few months, never had any issues. Always make an appointment, they rarely can take walk ins. No bad experiences up until this last time. I made an appointment for 930am as soon as they opened. I was the 1st one there, they started my pedicure immediately and were done quickly. As more people began to come In, they didn't have enough staff to handle the clients. I had an appointment for a pedicure and dip manicure. It came time for my dip nails, I was moved to a station and sat for 30 minutes just waiting for someone to start my nails. The first time I went in, they did a decent job on my dipped nails. I ombré them and typically have a design drawn one finger, it was a little odd that neither tech could draw a flower but I figured it's more convenient than the other salon I've been going to for years and a little more reasonable. This time I went in and did a pedicure along with the dip. I requested the basic pedicure ($30) with a French polish and had her draw a flower (or at least that is what it was supposed to be) for that I was charged an additional $25 notating a shellac polish which I did not ask for. The basic pedicure ended up being $61 which is ridiculous. She did a decent job on the dip again and I was charged $60 which is reasonable for that service. However, I will not return after being up charged $25 for un requested shellac. I'd rather drive across town to the salon I've been going to where she can actually do what I've requested. read more

Best pedicure I've ever had!! I am very picky with nail salons. It's hard to find a really good place with reasonable prices. I got the medium level pedicure (I think it was maybe called the deluxe pedicure.) and was so impressed. I got a scrub, lotion, and hot stone massage. I also got gel nail polish and a design. Today was my first time going to La Luna to get my nails done. I was very dissatisfied with the work done on my nails. Kim was my nail tech and I asked for a french manicure with brown tips. I even showed the nail tech a picture of the nails I wanted. She said they didn't have the color I wanted for my tips. Another nail tech, showed a color palette of the browns they had. i was like Ok, lets continue with my nails. I asked her for squoval nails, and the confused look on her face should of been a red flag. She rushed through the process and when she was done with my nails, I couldn't believe how terrible my nails looked. They were wide, chunky and uneven. I am very disappointed and will not return. Just moved to the Southbank neighborhood and found this gem nearby! It is a gorgeous facility with friendly staff, a really nice complementary drink menu, and fantastic prices. We only had time for classic pedicures, but are looking forward to returning to try their other services. The pedicure chairs are incredibly comfortable, the staff keep all of the equipment clean and sanitary, and my polish came out perfect. They even got my husband's feet silky soft! I went in on a Saturday to get my nails done with my daughter. Van, the manager, did my nails. I told her I wanted a white tip and clear acrylic. The whole time she rushed me and never asked the shape I wanted nor if I was satisfied until I started correcting what I wanted. When I was done she immediately got up and walked out of the store so she could go to lunch. I woke up Sunday and had water or air bubbles under my nails. I called the salon and went up there to get them fixed. Van yelled at me that this was not her fault and this was my nail. I asked her to fix it and she refused to do the French tips again but I could get shellac and wouldn't be charged. I picked out my color and had another associate begin to apply the shellac all while listening to Van speak to her current customer about me, in English, about how this was not her fault and her nails were like mine and she needs to remember to not get clear. My five year old daughter asked if the lady was mad at me. Anyways the color I picked wasn't dark enough to color the white tip and when the new nail tech went to get me the color palette Van began screaming at her. I got up and left. I love getting my nails done here. The quality is excellent with the gel manicures and they did an amazing job the one time I got an acrylic set with jewels and glitter etc. My nails last two weeks very easily with minimal lifting around the edges by the time I'm due for the next, and I like to take my daughter with me (5) once a month to just get her nails painted and it's only $7. Several of the ladies were rude, were speaking about our party in Vietnamese and laughing, and yelled at one of the girls on our group for not having her mask on even though she was about to take a drink. Quinn the lady that did my acrylics did a shoddy job, she didn't ensure that the fake nails were glued onto my natural nail flush so particles are getting in between the nail and that take nail. She didn't clean up underneath my nails so there are clumps of acrylic which are catching on things which is frustrating. Several of my nails are already lifting and it's only been four days. I'm irritated about the amount I spent for such crappy workmanship. The gentleman that worked the front was super kind and helpful, he should probably be looking for getting rid of several of the techs and hiring new techs that are capable and friendly. My friend took me here for my birthday to have a pedicure done. I was expecting a short 20 minute appointment like I've had with most nail salons. This was 1 hr & 10 mins long. Wow! It was so amazing and relaxing. They even offered free drinks. The massage chair was a bonus! We chose the $50 option, seems expensive but totally worth it! I've never had a pedicure like this. First time I went here, I loved the woman who gave me a pedicure. She took her time and I really enjoyed her conversation. The woman who did my nails, asked me if I was pregnant, which I found very offensive when she pointed to my belly and she went way too fast on my nails and when I told her I wanted the same color as my toes, she went and grabbed a color that was a shade darker. I go to get my nails done to relax, not feel like I'm being rushed out of the chair..I told myself I wouldn't be going back, but I thought to give them one more chance today, and I arrived an hour before close, which usually, I try not to do, and because I didn't want to do a dip powder, they turned me away and said they were too busy and they did not have any time for me. Nail worker Van (female) has no good customer service and made me feel very uncomfortable but I was there for the nails, which was average, did not do my nails to my satisfaction but was rushed. She was rude when communicating with me and body language was not hospitable, for something as simple as changing my color way before she got to the application.
