I went in for lunch on a Friday and they weren't busy so I was able to order right away. I had the Turkey Bistro with a Caesar salad. The salad was mediocre as there was not much flavor. The sandwich was good but didn't have the La Madeleine richness that I remember when I last ate at The Woodlands location a few years back. For my drink I had water from the soda machine. I was hoping with the location in the woodlands being closed that this location may get some extra attention from management. Unfortunately I was wrong. My wife and I went in for breakfast for the usual bacon egg and cheese croissants. It started normally with everyone being helpful and giving recommendations but once our order was placed, it was like we no longer existed. The croissants were over done and did not have cheese, the potato galette was old because it was stale and my wife ordered an iced coffee with the breakfast that they didn't even begin to make until after we were finished eating and leaving. The manager did give us a refund for the coffee and gave it to us for free anyway but after leaving she tried it and it was terrible, almost as if it were on purpose. Worst experience I have ever had at a la madeleine's and I won't be back, which sucks because now I don't have a location close to me whatsoever. read more

Friends taking me there tomorrow! We have to go to Conroe, since our favorite Market Street location is now closed!! Only one big room- no visible fireplace, like in other locations! Did not feel homey- Any longer- like fave Market Street location. But nice- tables crowded close together - No round tables or wood, just rectangles of different sizes. Very nice snd impersonal. Looks like any other cafe. Food was good on regular round plates- no big oval plates like market street had!! We may go back. Nothing special here. The $10 luncheon bargain trio is now $12.95. Some good things at the new location in Conroe. Croque madame on point! Huge though, I recommend sharing. Potato galette a great side whereas the Caesar was wet and slimy. Dressing on the side would have been better. Chai latte amazing! Biggest issue Mimosa's were "86'd" at 11 am! What!! read more

Food: The quiche wasn't that good. It was extremely basic and I was very underwhelmed. However, the crossaint sandwich was pretty good. I did enjoy the bread. It was super fresh and soft. In the future, I would probably just purchase the crossaints from there and then make sandwiches at home. The ambiance was nice and so was the customer service. Where to start... Upon entry, there are no menus to look at to even consider while standing in a very long line. Upon ordering, the woman taking the order looked like she would have preferred to be ANYwhere other than there - and her rude tone and eye rolls confirmed it. Ick. The checkout is super chaotic, and is pushed into a weird corner that makes it awkward for customers and servers in this TINY space that they both have to occupy - why would you do that? I ordered a French Dip Sandwich (who doesn't like a good au jus?) and some mini tarts, with a side Caesar salad. Unbelievably basic and underwhelming. The sandwich was lackluster at best. The roast beef was a really strange texture, cold, and the flavor was pretty awful. The au jus was decent, the bread holding around it was good. I have had better Caesar salads at chain restaurants, and in my own home... ugh. I hoped that the tarts would be good - they were mediocre at best as well. Met here today to have a networking meeting with two other women and the entire experience was enhanced by the fact that this location is perfect for an intimate conversation, as well as having outdoor seating for enjoying this beautiful weather. The food is not only delicious, but employees are very informed about ingredients to help those of us with food, allergies avoid, any type of uncomfortable response. I the bathrooms are immaculate Lee clean. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, brunch meetings, and anything else where you want to enjoy a meal in an ambience where you can hear each other speak clearly. read more

In the last 4 weeks, 14 items have been left off my order...excluding things we requested such as bread and plasticware (which are usually forgotten as well). We haven't complained because we live 21 miles away and by the time we get home the store is closed or we are too tired and forget by the next day. They generally forget all kid's meal components but the sandwich...today it was only the cookies. Yesterday, the drink, fruit and cookies were forgotten. Forgotten items such as 2 cups of soup as well as chips from the adult sandwiches have also happened. We like these people, they are nice and we always tip on our to go orders. We are trying to get better about checking before we leave. sometimes there are so many items in an order...we just peek and don't realize what's missing until we get home. Im giving it one star because of the guy who helped me check out...i think his name was Kyle. Now I get that we all have our bad days...but you could clearly see that wasnt all there. Ordered the chicken la Madeleine. When the entree arrived, it was luke warm, dry, and a bit on the tough side. Sauce was luke warm and lacked any real flavor. The sauce tasted like seasoned up canned Cambells cream of mushroom soup. The wild rice, on the other hand, was prepared and cooked perfectly. The broccolli was luke warm and tasteless without even a hint of any flavor such as lemon, butter, etc. While I realize this is a brand new location, our meal did not compare or pass muster on the usual high quality of la Madeleine. read more

Went this after noon and got a chicken Caesar sandwich, tomato basil soupe and a caramel Crème brûlée. Food was good. Sandwich was cooked nice and tasted good. Soup was alittle on the sour side. Very little tomato taste. More like a vinegar taste. Crème brûlée was good and had a nice crunchy top. Overall food as a 8/10 only because the soup. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and very clean. Nice french pop music playing. Felt like I was at a restaurant in France that was catered to tourist. The lady working the Togo was super nice and made me feel welcome although the lady working the ordering station for dine in made me feel like I wasn't welcome. She had no smile and when I talked to her I got the impression that I was bothering her. Overall I rate the service a 7/10 and the ambiance a 10/10 read more
