I was simple with my drink order and had an orange mimosa (several). Great flavor. Makes it difficult to get just one. They do offer other flavors and flights along with many other cocktail choices and beer. I recently tried the steak and eggs, a new menu item. You have options when you order. I ordered mine with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon (of course), and toast with my medium steak. The eggs were delicious and so fluffy. The flavor of the bacon went so well with the eggs and the potatoes. I like steaks. To me, the flavor of the steak was missing something compared to the rest of the plate. This has been the only time that I have not finished everything on the plate. I'm sure the seasoning of the steak will improve . I'm not saying the flavor was bad making the steak inedible. The flavor was just not to my liking. This does not stop me from returning and I still highly recommend that you stop by. I haven't gotten to the prices! I have been to brunch in many places across the country and in Texas. Sadly, many are disappointing and seem to feel that because it's "brunch" they can over charge for their plates and especially their drinks. I am so glad Nomel does not. The server said no substitutes could be made. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery. We thought we would try their $14 chocolate cake. One bite announced it was terrible. We sent it back and they took it off the check. Maybe with a little more time they'll get situated but for now I don't recommend it.

It's listed under the dessert menu, but I honestly think it belongs on the breakfast menu. I expected it to be overly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The homemade berry jam is light and delicate, the fresh berries add little bursts of flavor, and the creamy yogurt topping gives it the perfect amount of tang. Everything is balanced beautifully. The brioche is thick, soft, and soaked all the way through without being soggy. Every bite had a different texture, and I actually found myself slowing down because I didn't want it to end. I also tried one of their coffee drinks. It was good, but I'd still come back just for the French toast. One thing worth mentioning: I didn't realize you have to leave your tip when you place your order because there's no option to add one afterward. The shop is simple, clean, and very welcoming. Everyone on the staff was friendly, and the owner even came by to ask how everything was. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, so they recommended their freshly made watermelon agua fresca. It was refreshing and delicious. I also tried the mushroom pozole, which had a light, flavorful broth and several different kinds of mushrooms. You can tell they care about quality. The homemade tortilla chips weren't really my favorite, but I appreciated the owner explaining that they're made fresh from tortillas in-house. I always appreciate businesses that genuinely want feedback. The atmosphere is great if you're looking for a quiet place to relax or get some work done.
