This is a very special location reserved for residence of Monaco. Extremely cute actually worth ducking and check out the chapel. They were very nice. Definitely a plus location for municipality but of course it's Monica.

Our concierge recommended this "hidden dining room" off the main drag. It's like a lush oasis. Something you would see in a movie. Or something they try to recreate elsewhere when attempting to make you feel you are in Europe. It's delightful. Pasta, seafood, meat. You can't go wrong. We ordered an extra entree because we couldn't narrow our choices to 2. And we petite little travelers ate it all! Our favorite was the truffle pasta. But it was all delicious. It was completely booked on a Tuesday night, so make a reservation in advance if you can. Oh, and nearly everyone was local. That says a lot.

We made easy reservations at this restaurant and were seated promptly on the terrace dining room. They brought some olive tapenade and excellent little breads to start and our main courses followed pretty quickly; The daube niçoise with ravioli was good , not the best that I have ever had in Nice but solid. I wish there was more meat though. The petits farcis niçois ( vegetable stuffed with minced meat and grilled) were very good. The panacotta desert was on the expensive side for such a restaurant but generously served . It seemed that the restaurant was a bit overwhelmed by the huge number of guests/ tourists and I am sure that the atmosphere and quality is different in the off season when things calm down a bit. I will come back for sure .

This is a fabulous French restaurant in the heart of Nice. It's a hidden treasure. There's a small sign on the Rue through which you travel trough a passage (a traveler in mid evil times) to an inner courtyard covered with vines of purple flowers. There's also an inside space. Unfortunately, there was no room outside so we sat inside. No one was wearing a mask except us. There was no social distancing and several guests were coughing. In addition to the beautiful venue, the food was equally beautiful and delicious. We selected the price fixed 3 course dinner for 27.90 euros. We enjoyed appetizers: an anchovy on a crepe (better than it sounds) and fresh greens; main entrees: lamb with a savory sauce & polenta and pan seared local fish; and for dessert frozen nougat. All we're incredibly delicious and, I'm told, very much recipes of Nice. The Restaurant was full with more than 100 dinners. We enjoyed a bottle of sparkling pelligrino for 6.50 euros. We recommend eating here but due to COVID, you'll should sit outside.

Amazing dover sole (pre sauce) (@davideatsdc)

Amazing, traditionally French meal. Was very popular during lunch and we could see why - the food was incredible. The dover sole was easily my favorite dish, the lemon caper sauce is done so well. Pomme purée and frites were delicious. The trofie with cream and truffles was another standout. And the beef filet was good, but I'd try another option next time. Service was a bit off at times but understandable given how busy they were, and the food was so good we didn't mind waiting a bit.

The ambience is super elegant here, and the staff was so friendly (especially compared to other parts of France). I got a beef dish with ravioli, and wow!! The ravioli was filled with some herby filling, making the dish not too heavy. The beef was super flavorful and tender. It's a bit pricey but so worth it in my opinion.

One of my favorite meals of all time - found it through a recommendation from the concierge. Beautiful French elegant ambience with beautiful outdoor mezzanine area tucked away. Service was top notch, our reservation table wasn't ready right when we got there so they offered us a complimentary glass of champagne. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal!

This place was wonderful it's just classic French service, you'll be waiting forever to get someone's attention for anything you need. The food was very good and the outdoor space was darling.

Husband and I had a great experience here. We came right when it opened for dinner time (though I do highly recommend a reservation here). Ordered the duck and sea bass for our main course. Both came out and were so delicious and tasty. They even de-boned the fish for you. The waitress was so friendly and loved the romantic ambiance of the courtyard. I love that the location is a bit off the hidden path of the main walking street.

The early bird catches the worm...or the deal in this case! Rick Steve's tour book recommended this pretty fancy schmancy expensive restaurant that we wouldn't normally eat at...but before 7:30pm, special €23.50 3 course meals are offered. We both opted for the same items and got the cheapest wine bottle for €22: Fish Soup: a thin tasty broth, with croutons and cheese. I enjoyed but the wife didn't. Roasted Red Mullet: tender and cooked perfectly with a pleasantmustard sauce; came with a nice quiche side. Other choices were a gnocchi pasta dish and rabbit dish(we can't bring ourselves to eat Thumper). Apple Tart: pretty good, nothing exciting though. Lovely romantic setting with elegant indoor seating to avoid the European chain smokers. Our 2nd best meal on this trip, but we received very best service here in all of France.

Grandma style beef ravioli, side of gnocchi (dry) and white sauce penne how are ya

If looking for French food this place is solid for the area. Outdoors seating, good foie gras, good duck and nice ambiance.

Not great. Had the pork and the other half had the grilled fish. Could have also done with a couple more waiters. Was very busy.

We had the Marie's stew with shantilly mushrooms and ravioli, excellent! The raspberry and pistachio eclair was also quite tasty.

Make reservations ahead of time (it's easy to do online) because this place will fill up for dinner. They have 4 appetizers to choose from, about 5-6 entrees and about 7-8 desserts to choose from, and the prices are reasonable for dinner: 24€ for plat + entree or plat + dessert, and 29€ for the 3 courses. Entrées: - Velouté de topinambour / Jerusalem artichoke soup - This soup was super, super creamy and buttery. I don't want to know how much cream and/or they put in here - it was good, but very rich. There was a piece or two of bacon, and the soup was tasty. - Trilogie de betteraves / Beets cooked three ways - I was looking for something healthier to eat, and was happy this was on the menu. I wasn't sure what to expect with this dish, other than it was beets cooked three ways. There was one little dish of beet salad with green onions or scallions, a small beet poached or roasted, and a beet purée that went well with the bread. I would recommend this appetizer if you want something on the lighter/healthier side and different. Plats: - Risotto with asparagus and tomatoes - My husband ordered this and it was good but not outstanding. He added the 2 pieces of seared foie gras for 5€ which made the dish better; I think it would have been a bit bland without the foie. The asparagus was very fresh and the risotto was on the lighter side which was nice. - Salmon with Cajun seasoning and leeks - This was different than what you'd normally find in a French restaurant since I've never seen Cajun spiced things before. The salmon was a little on the small side, but it was still good and the caramelized leeks on the side were a really perfect compliment. This dish was tasty and really good, but just a bit on the smaller side compared to all the other main dishes that were meat-based (from what I saw other diners getting) We were full so we skipped dessert, but it looked pretty good - they had things like a chocolate lava cake, a praline crème brûlée, spéculos tiramisu, and financier with a passion fruit center. Overall, a good meal that won't break the bank and that has a good selection of things on the menu. More heavier " comfort food " than lighter fare, and slightly less traditional French. The ambiance was very casual - it almost felt like you were eating in a graffiti park with dim lighting and metal walls, but overall, we had a decent meal at a reasonable price. The waiters here all spoke English well and it seemed most of the clientele were tourists.

We ordered the octopus salad and it was a very generous portion with an incredibly fresh tasting grilled octopus. It was a perfect size to share or you could have it as a light entree. Menu is small but what they do, they do very well. They have both indoor and patio seating. Aside from the tasty food the most memorable thing here was the wonderful service. We were seated right away and had a nice bread bowl with oil and balsamic vinegar to start as well as drink orders placed. This is not the place to order drinks but they do have quite a few non alcoholic drink options -juices, soda, etc. Overall I'd highly recommend checking this place out for lunch or dinner.

I ordered the sole, which was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. My friend had what they described as a clam linguini (which was actually more of a spaghetti). I tried some, and we both agreed that the dish came up short because it was missing something - maybe garlic? Despite the lack of favor in my friend's dish, but entrées portions were very generous, and our server recommended a very nice bottle of local red wine which we both very much enjoyed. We also shared a plate of specialty ham, which unfortunately was way too salty for either of us to have more than a few bites. Bottom line: Exceptional service and great prices. We enjoyed our visit enough that we might give them another try the next time we find ourselves in Nice.
