We rent a home and our landlord had our gutters cleaned. We didn't know when but it didn't matter as the work was all outside. We were not home. They did a nice job cleaning up after. In fact, the only way we knew they were there was the receipt left on the front porch. I would recommend them for any job you have! read more

Although they got the job done, I am extremely disappointed and mortified by the way their employees conduct themselves. Scheduling an appointment was just a pain in itself. When trying to get a specific time I was told they would be there between Tuesday and Thursday, which is unrealistic.- What kind of person would be willing to stay in their house for three days waiting for a company to clean their gutters and windows. At 10:00 I get a call from my daughter, who might I add works nights, saying she heard a loud banging on the door with two men outside screaming, "Let me in! Let me in!" I don't know about you but I would be frightened to even open that door... would probably even call the cops. The only reason my kids even opened that door was because they saw a black truck with "LA McMahon" written in small tinny letters. -comforting right? This company was able to get the gutters clean in a proficient manner, which is why I would even consider giving them a star. However, after scaring my kids and giving me an unrealistic time frame, I'm beginning to think I was just a little too generous. Personally I'm not one to even review a company on yelp. However, after the transgression I had over payments, I am now further disgruntled. Hence why I am here. After giving my information, the woman would not even give me a confirmation number. Initially she told me I had to go there and file paperwork, which makes no sense because I was informed that I could make payments over the phone.- Why waste gas money or even stamps when I'm already wasting my time over a rude phone call? After questioning this paperwork statement, the woman cut me off and backtracked and told me to just write down her name in case, "something goes wrong." How comforting it is to diligently look over my credit statements praying that some menopausal woman doesn't go nuts and try to over charge me. After reading these reviews I definitely feel like a fool. What manager comments on customer reviews? To me that shows that someone is trying to compensate for something that they lack... professionalism. Maybe 10 years from now, if this company can even stay afloat, there will be a multitude of people raving about the service they have received. However, I don't see that in my lifetime since I do not intend on receiving their services again. read more

I wish I could give zero stars but that is not possible. I have used LA McMahon in the past always had a good experience. Not this current and last time I will attempt to use them. I called and scheduled an appointment a week in advance. That was the earliest THEY were available. I was nervous because the day they offered was the day before I was to have a large party at my house. I explained that to the woman I talked to and she assured me they would keep the appointment. I was scheduled between 1-3pm on a Friday. No one showed. I called them at 3:30 and inquired where they were. I was told my new time was 2-4pm and they would definitely keep the appointment. It is not 6:30 and no one showed or bothered to call. I will now have to do my own windows. If you absolutely have to get a job done or have a deadline to meet, take your business elsewhere. McMahon is not reliable. read more

Mark and LA Mcmahon, two thumbs up!!! I found Mark through a referral and decided to try out LA Mchahon. His team came out the house and cleaned the windows (we have french windows) individually square by square - inside and outside and removed every screen and dusted off the cobwebs and dirt! The windows had some streaks and it looked like some had to be redone so I called them back and Mark resent the team back to the house and redid the windows. I asked him if there'd be a charge he said "don't worry bout it, just remember me in the future." Sure enough, I called him for a house we were about to rent out and put on the market. We wanted it to look rent ready and were in a crunch, so he sent his team out within 2-3 days to clean all the windows. Windows looked spotless. I'm gonna call him this year and get our house ready for SPRING and SUMMER!!! can't wait for the glass to look crystal clear again. I"m done with snow in Chicago lol. read more

I have worked with this company before and they have always done a great job and have been very prompt! I have several gutters that lead to downspots that travel underground and drain away from the house out about 20 ft from the house. The workers not only cleaned the gutters on the house but when I asked if they could check the underground part of the gutters they were happy to do this. They assured me that each of those were open. When I scheduled an appointment I have never had to wait long for them to come so even though they say it may be today, or tomorrow my experience is they come sooner rather than later. The workers were neat, cleaned up after themselves and courteous. The owner really cares about customer service and he often calls to check on the job himself and make sure everything is satisfactory. I find the cost pretty competitive with other companies as well. read more

I have used this firm for washing windows multiple times. 3 levels, some with criss-cross panes. No problems. They clean the screens also. I have used them to clean gutters, also. They have always been responsive, able to make an appointment within a day or two almost every time. The staff arrive on time, work quickly, and, have always been pleasant to me. Found this company on Home Advisor and was pleasantly surprised with their great service. I called the office and talked to a very pleasant lady (Angie) and she answered all my questions and was able to get me scheduled for that afternoon due to an opening on their schedule. The crew showed up on time and did a great job on the windows and were able to get the storms on correctly even though they are quite tricky. I'm writing to update my prior review. I was very happy to hear from Mark at McMahon. He explained that they don't clean inside the storm windows without it being requested. Once this was explained, I understood. Mark's follow up call was very much appreciated and very professional. At this point in time, I have no problem with McMahon as a company. I guess my problem just lies with the crew that came out to my house on two occasions. Even taking the storm window issue out of it, their work was less than satisfactory. Streaky and smudged in many areas, and when returning to my house the second time the attitude that they gave my wife was completely uncalled for. However, I would definitely do business with McMahons again because of the exceptional customer service that Mark has portrayed. I like to think that my experience is a one off, and is not consistent with their services. I give Mark's customer service five stars, but I stick with giving the crew that came to my house one star. That being said, give these guys a shot and if things aren't to your liking, be logical and be polite, but say something, and I'm confident that Mark would make things right. read more
