La Mesa has decent prices, so we bought a 2024 Quantum Class C from them. Chris in Sales was great to work with, and very fair. Since the RV was new, it had a few minor things that needed to be fixed. For those new to RVing, this is normal. It's not the dealer- it's the manufacturersacturers with their Quality Control (or sometimes lack thereof), and usually not found until the first 'shake out' trip. On the whole, it was in great shape- but Service has been beyond exceptional. Michael Guevara is the Service Advisor. He has kept us up to date, told us we can call him anytime and he asks that we let him know about anything we need. Nothing but great reviews for La Mesa, and we've had about a dozen RVs in our many years of RVing. These guys are great- from the sale to the service! Thanks to all of you!! read more

I was happy with the price and, for the most part, the sales team. I'm not a fan of the finance manager. But I didn't buy any of the extended warranties. The rest of the folks, like the guy who prepped the travel trailer for delivery, were awesome. Including the lady who handled our final paperwork. Also, the first guy we met at the sales lot. We figured once we got our camp trailer home to try it out. This way, we would know what was needed for our first outing. We sleep hard and comfortably. Just recently purchased a 2020 Winnebago Travato from Happy Pruitt and we were delighted in working with him. We had to delay delivery of our unit for a medical reason and La Mesa was most understanding. Shaun Goodwin was our financial advisor and he was wonderful to work with. We normally do not buy extended warranties but we did in this case since he said it will cover everything, except the bumpers, LOL Eric and Carlos on the delivery team explained everything we needed to know and were very professional. The unit was missing a shower curtain and they immediately ordered one for us and we also noticed front tires were a little worn and they replaced all of them. This is our sixth RV in over 15 years and our sixth dealership throughout the U. S. and by far this is the best! All in all a great buying experience! Purchased a brand new 2025 class C in January 2025 and everything flowed well and salesman and his boss were great. Flew in to pick up the coach and again smiling faces. Gentleman that explained the inner working of the new RV was very nice, but rushed. Still, I felt fine. As we finished the inside review, found a latch that is missing on bathroom door and one of the kitchen storage doors is warped. Apologies given and told they would be ordered and sent to me as I had a 10 hour drive to get home. Got home and went to winterize the coach, and didn't work. Called the number the fellow who showed me how to use the coach gave me (private cell of his) no answer so left message and text as I was directed. No answer tried couple more times, nothing. Tried my salesman multiple time.....no answer or reply to message. After phone tree, I did speak with nice guy from repairs who confirmed there is an issue with the pump/system and I need to take it to dealership 90 minutes away. Then I get a call telling me they won't send the door because it is a warranty and I cannot be trusted to take off and then replace 8 screws in hinges. I try to get assistance from salesman again, nope..no answer. At his point it is becoming obvious they are happy to take your money, but that is when the friendly good service ends. read more

We signed paperwork on 3/31/2021 and paid our bill in full. On 4/3/2021 the coach was delivered in what appears to be a used or demo state even thought it was represented as new. The carpet was frayed, the generator had significant hours, the body was damaged, the coach had wear marks, the tile was damaged. The dealership claimed they would make it right--but they have not despite making an appointment and leaving it there over a week. Of significant concern is that the coach was delivered to us without the fire escape in the main living room functioning. Additionally, there's a crack in the entry that the service manager, Ryan, indicated would necessitate a trip to the factory in Red Bay Alabama to facilitate repairs as it requires the entire dash board to be removed. Despite making management aware of our concerns, we have had no response. read more

We scheduled a service appointment at Tucson La Mesa after taking our rig to two competitor service appointments to no avail. One quoted us $5000 just to assess the slide issue and the other could not figure out a solution. The appointment process at La Mesa Tucson was fast and efficient. When we arrived, we were quickly ushered in and met with our Service advisor Steven and the Service manager Ryan. The team was fantastic. They diagnosed our issues and then suggested a correction to get us back on the road while waiting on review from Lippert. The repairs worked and we are traveling. We were in and out quickly and the cost was fair for the work. We had originally purchased our rig here and were pleased with the sales process and communication two years ago. If your going to buy a used motor home at this business be very very very careful ! I returned to buy my second Rv because the first was a good experience something has changed I was looking for a used low mileage class A gas rig. I was told it was well cared for and top of the line I looked it over as best I could being 76 years old I found a few things wrong they said they would fix noted on the contract. After taking delivery one repair failed within twenty miles. Later I found the rig had been wrecked. It had over spray on the windshield you could see when the sun hit it just right. This USED to be a good business! Thanks Happy for all the lies. Buyer beware especially at La Mesa On the contract they were to fix hood brackets both brackets where there just not glued on. The shop fixed them drove 20 miles home hood was down again. Now one bracket was missing and the other was unglued again. I took it in to get it fixed AGAIN this time I had to pay for missing bracket plus freight. Then they had the guts to charge me $437 for fixing their screw up. Purchased a used 5th Wheel from La Mesa Tucson location. Was told everything was in good working order, and less than a week later, I am having to replace both a/c systems at my own expense. Also, was told the unit was detailed. Apparently detailing a unit does not involve moving the furniture to clean the carpets or wiping down the insides of the cabinets and drawers. The only thing they cleaned was the refrigerator. Besides, them not getting it to us for a month after we paid for it, the finance guy was a jerk. Worst. Customer. Service. Of. All. Time. Spent 12K on repairs which took forever. Getting someone to actually return a phone call takes an act of God or Congress. The icing on the cake was coming in to pick up the repaired fifth wheel and they brought it up to the front with THREE COMPLETELY FLAT TIRES and just walked away. Didn't even address it. I can't tell you how unhappy, how horrible the whole experience was and how uncaring and rude the people I encountered were. If you think this is an isolated incident, you are sadly mistaken. I wished I had read these reviews before using their service department. If PAINS me physically that I had to give them money for such horrendous service and a star for this review. I'd literally pay to be able to remove the star that's how angry I am. The way my father was treated at this shop left me feeling disgusted. What a horrible experience. First, they pressured us to come take delivery on a Saturday (inconvenient for us) so they could get credit for the sale before the end of last month. When we arrived as scheduled on Wednesday, we were mostly ignored in the lobby while multiple staffers walked past us (none wearing masks). We finally got someone to acknowledge our appointment and take us out to see the RV. Crack in the windshield, broken trim bits everywhere, missing parts... did no one perform a pre-delivery inspection? They apologized and said everything would be made right in a couple of days -- but insisted on payment in full, right now. They started the title paperwork, even though we hadn't taken delivery. THREE WEEKS of phone calls later, they finally scheduled final delivery, so we drove out to La Mesa RV again. Completely ignored by the staff (most not wearing masks, even after the spike in Arizona COVID19 cases). Finally got someone to take us out to the RV... and it STILL wasn't fixed. Parts on back order, etc, etc. It would take at least three MORE weeks to have everything ready.... and that was just their best guess, not a guarantee against more delays. But they HAD installed the missing ladder. So for the first time, I was able to climb up top, and see that the air conditioning unit had clearly bashed into a low ceiling or sign. Broken plastic, paint scrapes, and (from inside) an unpleasant rattle. At that point, we just demanded our money back and -- to their credit -- they complied. (But, of course, without any compensation for our time, trouble, or opportunity cost of having our money tied up for three weeks.) And they never apologized. Just "Here's your check, have a nice day." We learned later that they sold the RV the next day to someone on their waiting list, probably at a higher price. So if you're the proud owner of a $100,000 Winnebago Travato with a VIN ending in -19480... I hope they fixed your air conditioner. I can't help contrasting this dealer experience with the experience of purchasing a $100,000 Mercedes or BMW. There, you are treated like king or queen for a day. At La Mesa RV, you are treated like an annoyance. I'm glad they refunded our purchase price, but irritated that they suffer no consequences from their terrible behavior. (Other than a bad Yelp review.) The COVID-related surge in demand for small motorhomes has made them immune to normal market forces that would encourage good customer service. Tuscon Location Shamus and the delivery process was awesome. However, the sales process was really bad. We were given a quote for one price. It was less than the advertised price, so I called to verify the price and was told yes that was the price. They gave us this discount because we were helping to eliminate inventory at year end and since it was a cash deal we were set. We went to the bank and wired the amount quoted. About 4 hours later, we were called and told that there was a mistake and that we needed to send an additional 4XXX because they quoted the wrong unit. When I told the salesman Marcus that we didn't have it available since I ordered a washer/dryer for the unit at $2XXX he told me to cancel my order because we needed to pay the difference for his mistake. I called and spoke to a sales manager and we then agreed to pay a little more then half of the new demand. The next day we had an issue with the trade in and called to see if we could just bring the cash. We were told yes. So we went to the bank and got a cashiers check for 7XXXX.00 (for the trade in according to the paperwork I had and for the agreed difference). When we got to LaMesa RV in Tuscon we were told that we had to pay an additional 8XX because they were giving us an allowance different then the paperwork they sent us for the tradein and that made the tax amount different. We understand that the tax was beyond your control but we have NEVER purchased anything that was this messed up. The sales team was rude and not at all willing to make this right. Marcus never even introduced himself to Mitch, never shook his hand or even said thank you. For the almost $30K cash we spent we were very disrespected. The only reason we did not cancel the whole deal and walk out is because we really like the trailer. I have been in media sales my entire career. I have never treated a customer the way we were treated in this deal. Not only that but when I have made mistakes on a transaction, my company and I would have to live by my mistakes and yes it has cost me and my business revenue one time. But that was never passed on to the customer like this. We will NEVER purchase from LaMesa RV again or recommend your company to any of our associates. Our friends that has seen the coach love it. But when we have told them of our experience they we appalled about what we went through for such a major cash purchase. I would not advise any one to buy from this outfit. They missed up on my VIN. We had the title already transferred to TX and the La Mesa dealer realized they used the wrong VIN, they changed it and had it re-tiled in AZ without notifying me or the lienholder. Lienholder still has it listed in TX. I requested they pay for there mistake. The staff said they do not pay for that. I have yet to receive my AZ tags 2 years after purchase and it is no longer titled in TX as I found out standing at registration desk trying to renew the tags The rest of the story; I have had numerous issues with the unit. The sales team is great because that's all they care about is making a profit. My good friend is a 100% disabled veteran father of two who lives full time in his rv and made the mistake of giving La Mesa his business. Where to start with the problems. Within a week of delivery problems everywhere. The underbelly filled up with sewage. The slide will not go in properly(when attempting to close it the teeth were breaking off and wood was flying everywhere).There are multiple water leaks. Light is coming in between the wall and stairs and I'm sure there's more to come. There is no way La Mesa performed a proper pti before delivery. When he went to the dealership they took no initiative blaming it on the manufacture. However if they did their job it should have never left the lot. When he asked to talk to the GM who was on site he was told no he's busy(I'm assuming he was looking at what super car to purchase next from scamming all the customers) In conclusion stay away go across the street to any of the other dealerships in the area. read more

Run away from this company!! We paid nearly $2K for them to install a satellite dish on the roof of our 2019 Winnebago. Turns out they installed a stationary dish that only works if you are parked due North. We drove across the country on a 5 month trip and the dish only worked once. To make matters worse, when it rained water poured through the holes they made in the roof. This water ruined a book case above the entry door. When we returned home and brought this matter to the direction of our sales rep, he kept promising me that the service manager would call me. He never did. Six weeks later I called their corporate office in San Diego and was told he would ensure I get a call back. I never did. Finally I filed a complaint with the BBB. Then someone called and asked me to get a quote from another dealer near me and submit it to them. The quote from Camping World to fix their mistakes came in at $3,487.20. I got an email back from La Mesa offering to pay only $1,487.20 and demanding that I sign a full release and eat the other $2K. I told him this was totally unacceptable and he basically said, "too bad, this is all we are willing to do." Guess our only remedy now is to take them to small claims. I forgot to mention in my last review that when we bought the RV from La Mesa, one of the rear inside tires was flat. We didn't realize it as it's hard to see. We almost got killed driving home as the RV was swerving all over the highway. We couldn't go more than 50 miles. Finally we were flagged down in Utah and were told about the flat. We took it to the nearest tire place and they informed that valve extension was broken which happened when they over tightened it. Stay away from La Mesa!! After nearly a year owning my Tiffin Cahaba that I bought brand-new from La Mesa RV in Tucson, I can assure you that they have absolutely no intention of honoring the warranty they provide when they sell you an RV. My Cahaba has had numerous issues that are supposedly covered under warranty but which La Mesa refuses to service. I have contacted Tiffin directly and they confirmed they approve of the warranty repairs but La Mesa repeatedly goes weeks without returning my calls with service requests. And then when I finally do get my Cahaba in for service, they keep it for months then return it in the same condition saying that Tiffin does not approve of the repairs (not true, see above). Examples of the issues I've had that La Mesa has refused to repair: furnace doesn't work, major leak in rear door, Volta system alternator doesn't work, solar panels don't work, lighting control panel doesn't work, Volta control panel doesn't work. These are not minor annoyances; they are major system problems that are clearly covered under the warranty. Tiffin agrees they are backed by the warranty. I suspect what is going on is they make vastly more money on non-warranty repairs than on what they are reimbursed from Tiffin for warranty repairs. So they have every incentive to ignore warranty repairs. They'll glad-hand you with a nice warranty when they sell you an RV but they appear to have no intention of honoring it. read more

We are in our eighties and had sold our last RV some months ago, but because of my wife's very serious heart issue and my stage 3 kidney failure she wanted to go around,the country to visit family. We purchased a new RV to do that on a Sunday in June and had one change to be made to the coach, replace the AC with a bigger unit. We were called on Monday and told our pickup was scheduled for 2:00 pm on the,following Friday. We asked if the AC would be done by then and were told that if anything came up to change,the delivery time they would call us. We heard nothing so Friday we made the 25 mile trip to pick it up only to be told the AC had not been installed, then we could that three other customers had been scheduled for deliveries at the same time, after waiting a considerable time to do the paper work we found out the lady was seemingly unaware the RV was not ready for delivery. My wife was by this time in severe stress, so we told her we would not be taking possession of the RV until it was ready and went home. My wife has a very limited time left on this earth and the salesman who sold us the coach was well aware of her condition. The fact that these people would pull this scam on us and cause the stress and disappointment is just incredible. She has only a limited number of hours that she can be on her feet and this was not the happy time that she had expected. Shame on them! read more

Bought RV from La Mesa Tucson last June. Numerous trips to get warranty items fixed. They don't seem to be able to fix things right the first time. Both my wife and I have health concerns and after two week trip decided that this probably was not the right way for us to travel. Filled out their sell back to La Mesa form on internet and was contacted by Buying Manager in San Diego who assigned an employee in buying department to contact me which he did. We discussed a sale pricing and though it was lower than what I felt proper, I agreed to their offer. Employee sent me all documents which I filled out and agreed to. La Mesa employee told me he would start financial process. A couple hours later he called back and said his boss and owner of La Mesa would not honor signed agreement because La Mesa was making larger purchase from Thor on new models like I have and were going to offer them at a lower price so could not honor our signed agreement. They then offered $6,000 less that signed contract to purchase. Scott McGuire of La Mesa is extremely dishonest and an unethical person. Purchased a Micro Mini loaded with the explorer package picked up on a Friday 6/10/22 returned 6/13/22 for a water leak picked up on 6/15/22, returned on 7/5/22 for the same water leak and the slide being stuck, was told it would be four weeks because I didn't have an appointment, got ahold of Happy the salesman and he got in into service, was called on 7/11/2022 and was told the water leak was fixed butttttttt the slide out was shot and they were waiting for approval from Winnebago to do the work, that will take 6 - 8 weeks. Here is the kicker called Winnebago customer care I was in the loop for 1 hour and 15 minutes before I had to go back to work tried again the next day hung up after 45 minutes. So I am making my first payment tomorrow on a product that i don't even have possession of, and nobody less Happy in sales seems to care about. We were planning to use the trailer every other week but cant extremely frustrated, La Mesa RV and Winnebago claim to be the best and in reality their customer service is sub standard. When and if I ever get the trailer back I am taking some red tape and placing the dreaded red circle and line through the circle over both front and back logos and towing it every where as a warning to others. After working with them for two weeks, I decided to back out. I called the salesman and of course he was very disappointed. Interestingly we bought a 2018 less than 1 year ago, a Forest River forester from the unethical, unscrupulous dealer and salesperson from across the street at LazyDays. They have the worst pass the buck General Manager who only contacted us when he saw a negative comment on social media....he was concerned but would not help but sent us to the sales manager who sent us to the service manager and then assistant service person. Took the rig in to identify what parts were needed "All warranty work". Waited 5 hours no info...... here's your rig.....had to ask and ask for what was done, what is thee plan going forward.........we will call you. Waited 2 months they never contacted us so called and found out nothing was done at all, no parts ordered, still issues DONE, DONE, DONE And now we are buying a new 2018 from LaMesa RV with good reason.. every question we asked even the directional drain of the toilet, making sure it wasn't a 45 degree angle. They answered. They took a tech to the rig and answered every question honestly. So morale of the story avoid lazy days like the plague. and go See HAPPY and the gang at LA Mesa RV. Buyer Beware! Avoid Chris Johns & Jon Gold as your salesperson. My husband and I purchased a 2021 32" RV approx. $109,000 from Chris Johns & Jon Gold while at the fair grounds in March 2021. Upon the completion of the transaction, neither of the two salesman were present when we did our deliverance of the RV nor had either one to this date follow up to see how things are going. Actually, within 3 weeks after we purchased, I was in the waiting room and Jon Gold looked straight at me as he walked by and had no idea who I was. Since the purchase, our RV has been in for repairs the majority of our ownership, inoperable and has left us needing a mobile service. Although, I know both Chris & Jon are aware our RV has caused us extreme stress neither of them has offered to be a liaison between their service department and us. While I have reached out today to Chris Johns to see if he could find out information from the service advisor as I have not been able to reach him or get a call back, Chris proceeded to tell me he his back again at the Fairgrounds and would not be back at La Mesa til next Wednesday so when I asked can you reach out he reiterated that he would not be back to the shop until next Wednesday in lieu of helping out his customer what time would a phone call had taken. So when I said maybe I should go to the Fairgrounds and let folks know this is the salesperson he is, he said Goodbye and hung up. In our book we can say without a doubt both Chris Johns & Jon Gold rank #1 to "Typical Salespeople" and once they've hooked you, you are no longer important to them. We purchased a used RV from La Mesa RV in Tucson. They also sold us an extended warrantee to cover repairs. Within one year, we have brought the RV into the shop for repairs FIVE times. Each time we submitted a claim to "Travel Care", the extended warrantee company. Each time the claim was denied because the repair was not covered by the policy. We have spent $3000 for repairs after spending $8,400 on the policy. If we want a refund on the warrantee, we will lose $2,300 of the original warrantee price. La Mesa sold this useless policy to us knowing full well that it covered next to nothing. They also knowingly sold us a vehicle with engine and fuel issues. read more

Service Dept, however...many issues and delays on day we picked it up, several trips back for repairs that should never have gotten past quality control, and several major ones since then, miles from home!!! One year old - slider hydraulic issues, slider cable, front air conditioner must be replaced, still waiting, oops they forgot to order, lies. No one returns calls, condescending staff, with businesses struggling right now I thought customer service would be tip top. They have had our unit for repairs for many weeks total. Camping world didn't have two of the things I was looking for, a water heater spray wand and anodes for an Atwood water heater. They referred me to La Mesa RV. Both were about $14.00 each. The spayer was twice the price of Camping World and the anode was $2 more than camping world but they had them. Turns out, my water heater doesn't take an anode so they took a return on it no problem. I've experienced good customer service at both stores, so price and availability are the only metrics left. Price was high but availability was good. All in all I'm happy. I needed some teflon tape and they just gave me a roll since they don't sell it. They might want to reconsider stocking and selling teflon tape. Although I was very pleased getting it for free, that's not a sustainable business practice. read more

I recommend you avoid this dealership at all cost. We bought our RV from them and from day one the service has been awful. The Mesa location has a great mobile service guy named Scott but aside from that every experience we have is disappointing. Their focus is getting as much money out of you as possible and then moving on. We bought our RV in February and looked at a different one this week where we like the floor plan better. They told us our trade-in value was 40,000 less than what we paid for our RV less than a year ago and that they had new units on the lot that sold for less than what we paid for ours when it was one-year-old. I took my 2005 Monaco LaPalma in to La Mesa RV in Tucson for it's annual oil change, chassis lube and inspection service amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They did an excellent job and a thorough inspection. They found a number of safety related things that needed attention - brakes, wheel hubs, shocks. The service was super and, while it was expensive, they were able to work out a terrific price on parts that allowed them to attend to several less severe issues and stay within the original quoted price. read more

I'm getting tons of responses from other customers who have had similar issues. Here's a portion of our issues. I have waited three weeks, but need help if anyone has had similar issues with this company. Has anyone purchased from La Mesa RV in Arizona or any of their locations? We are in a mess and had to file with AG office. When you are referred to corporate in California and they Hang Up. Definitely a red flag! Because I am high risk for Covid, we cannot continue to go to office to get this settled. Attempting to do this over phone and email is getting nowhere. AG office has to give them 15 days to respond. I don't want to start a rant on a business, as I'm praying they deliver this week. If they don't follow thru, then yes, I would like to share our experience, had I know someone else had this experience, I would definitely avoid the company. I have documented every text, email, message form everyone. We have filed with Attorney Generals office, they referred us to News stations as well, I have filed with consumer groups. We have to checkout on Wednesday from our RV park. I plan to boondock in front of their property. I have no idea what else to do. We traded our Motorhome, paid 20k down payment on new one and it is a lemon. Slide won't work, door won't close. Tons of issues. Called them within 12 hours of leaving showroom......no return calls. I am not leaving AZ with this vehicle. Finally, they say bring it in, door needs to be replaced, but that will take weeks to get in. This is our home! Give us our money back, or replace vehicle. "We can't give yours back, sorry we sold it first afternoon." "You have an issue, call corporate! " I call corporate contact....He said "Go ahead, call the Attorney Generals office! This is when we knew we had issues, corporate hangs up! After two weeks and tons of emails to the company, they have finally decided yes, the vehicle should not have left the dealership like this. They will take it back. THEN...wouldn't give us the amount we paid . Wanted to treat as trade in and lose thousands. NO.....this is your fault. This is not a trade in. We agreed to purchase another, 8k more down, vehicle is on its way from other location, pick up Saturday. Friday night we get a call that ... " Sorry, it's sold"! But we have another....classic bait and switch.! They think we are going to take this and leave, as we are out of state travelers. Supposedly another replacement is on way from Florida. My current plan is to park at dealership on Wednesday and stay until I get my 20k back or my vehicle.! We have purchased several RVs over the years and understand the issues, hassles and headaches. However, that was when you were able to sit in office and discuss contract and details. I have been very patient with this company, but it now seems they are taking advantage of the fact we can't sit in the office and clear this up. Our retirement community is their largest customer base and highest risk for Covid. I would think they would make this process a little easier, rather than taking advantage and hiding behind emails and phone calls. This has been three weeks of hell and it's not over yet. We have been very strong and determined to get this settled. I wonder how many others have had to walk away because of their tactics, stress and hassle to wear you down. I have read suggestions from other sites and think we have done everything we can. I am not leaving the state of AZ without my new vehicle or my money back! Awesome service. Someone stole my hitch with my sway bar attachment sometime on Christmas night. To my horror, the next morning, when I went to hook up my camper to my truck. After filing a police report, I went to buy another hitch, ball and sway bar set. The place that sold me this, would not install it. I called La Mesa RV and they were able to squeeze me in last minute, so I could get back on the road and head home. I really want to thank the kind women who took my call, I believe her name was Kristen. She understood my plight and asked the service manager if he could fit me in. As soon as I arrived, the service manager came out to my truck and camper, installed the hitch correctly, attached the sway bars components and I was back on my way. On Apr 30, 2020, we bought a 2019 Winnebago Forza 38F from La Mesa Tucson and paid extra for a satellite dish to be mounted on the roof. Without telling us, they installed a stationary dish meaning it won't work unless we are parked facing due north, an impossibility to do when staying at RV parks. We went on a 5 month trip and the dish only found a signal once. To make matters worse, they left holes in the roof and half way across the country it started raining. Water poured in and destroyed the wooden magazine rack above the entrance door. Every time it rains, water pours in. We returned home and emailed our sale rep on Oct 28 asking him to replace the dish with one that rotates and we offered to pay any additional cost. We asked that the roof and rack be repaired. For 6 weeks he claimed that his customer service manager would call us to schedule this work. He never called. We called their corporate office in San Diego and again were told the Tucson service manager would call us. He still has not and it is Dec 12 now. On top of this, we purchased an internet system which stopped working the moment we left their lot. Their post sales service is the worst I've ever seen. WE WILL NEVER buy from Las Mesa again!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Please read all the negative reviews BEFORE making your decision to purchase an RV or to have your RV maintained by La Mesa RV. Dave Hennessey Is the service manager who failed to return our calls and failed to fix the SEVERAL issues that our brand new RV was sold to us with. Customer service is definitely NOT his specialty. I have spoken with several former La Mesa RV customers and we are all AMAZED that Dave keeps his job. No ethical company would want a person like Dave representing their company in any position, especially as a manager! It appears that La Mesa's maintenance crews and mechanics do not know how to fix electrical issues, refrigeration issues, carpentry issues, or even simply hang a curtain or replace a shelf in a cupboard properly. They also lack knowledge to correct plumbing leaks and trim issues, lock malfunctions and trim issues on the outside of the RV. From the initial sale of the RV to us, to the final maintenance/service appointment, the experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Jeff was our sales person. He was not educated on the product he was selling. Thank goodness for google and informative internet sites that were able to give us the actual information on the coaches we were interested in. Based on internet information and limited inventory at La Mesa, we narrowed down our search and decided to make a purchase. Jeff only got the sale because we already knew what we wanted and they had it in stock. When signing the final paperwork, the slimy finance person was sneaky and increased the interest rate 1% from what we had originally agreed to, but of course did not call this to our attention. We noticed it and asked to have it corrected. He responded with a number of excuses to attempt to justify his sneaky behavior. We should have xld. We were so excited to bring home our brand new RV! Within a few hours we were pulling out of our driveway to leave on our first road trip across country. The generator didn't work! Keep in mind, this was JULY! We needed the AC in the coach to work. We stopped by La Mesa to have it fixed. I did appreciate Floyd's (the service tech supervisor) honesty when the problem was diagnosed. The fuel lines to the generator were too close to the exhaust and this caused melting the lines and the generator to stop working. According to Floyd, we "were lucky that the entire coach didn't start on fire with the entire family inside!" After delaying our trip by SEVERAL hours, we hit the road. How could La Mesa RV sell us a coach with such a serious, life threatening issue? This was just the beginning. The electrical has NEVER worked properly. When we plug in, it usually trips the breakers ( and yes it is service intended for 30amp so works fine for other RVs) but has blown fuses inside the RV. La Mesa claims this isn't an issue. Although paperwork they have since provided me with claims it has been an issue since before we even brought the RV home for the 1st time. Obviously the problem has existed that they have neglected to correct. We cannot cook in the microwave and watch TV at the same time. Don't even think about watching tv with the AC on! The radio has had to be replaced. The refrigerator has never been cold. We have thrown hundreds of dollars of food away, Kristin, the service rep said several times they should replace it, but never actually followed through with it. The shower still leaks. La Mesa claims it doesn't. The decorative molding inside the RV has fallen off, even a second time after they claim to have fixed it. A shelf in the kitchen cupboard was broken since day one. La Mesa ordered the part 3, yes 3 times, and it is still not the correct shelf. The curtain between the living space and bedroom was torn when we purchased the coach. They replaced it, but refused to hang the curtain. The shower rod kept falling off when we drove. La Mesa did actually fix this correctly, finally. The generator is slow to start and often turns off. La Mesa has no clue as to what causes this and has no interest in fixing it. The coach door opened while driving down the freeway! The lock malfunctioned. Kristin claimed to have had this fixed. After the 2nd time of "fixing" it, it seems to be better, but still isn't what it should be. Outside trim falls off La Mesa obviously sold us a lemon and they refuse to make it right! This RV has been taken in for warranty work SEVERAL times. Yet was never fully repaired. The most critical issues are still critical issues. We still do not have a refrigerator that works, we still cannot plug in to 30 amp service and use our tv, microwave or television. We still cannot take a shower without water leaking all over the bedroom floor. They FAILED to repair most issues & they do not care. The warranty has now expired and they will not stand behind their work. RUN!! read more

We stopped by on our way to Las Vegas in November. Ordered a Winnebego Mini Wini 26T. The salesman, Michael Marcus, was up front on the delivery delays with Winnebego due to disruption of supply chain caused by Covid. Kept us appraised of progress and it actually was done earlier than projected. Jim, the delivery service manager, was amazing. Micheal Marcus was supportive from ordering the unit to driving it off the lot. Esteban gave us a thorough orientation answering all of our questions. The unit had a problem with the levelers that wasn't a quick fix. Jim discussed options and we worked out a time to come back for the warranty repair. The closing and transfer of our trade in was seamless. Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase and especially the treatment we received from the Tuscon La Mesa staff. read more
