I finally ate at the Mexicana the hardest was to find the place luckily read one of the previous reviews and found the place . Its across the street from the Wallmart mall in Bristol. Keep your eyes open or you might miss it. The people were very nice thier. It had a mini market inside. Thier was only two long tables but it was empty when we went. I had tacos of carnitas and Sopes on (Lengua) which tongue . I never tried it and felt brave that day, was very pleased if I didn't know what I was eating I would of thought it steak. The hot sauce is green home made they give it to you on the side. Was very happy with my lunch. They have menu combos on the wall so you can see what you are ordering. The Horchata is very good. Also the Flautas had cream inside .I recommend trying this place if your in Bristol PA. read more

Fantastic tacos. I had the chicken, and felt so great eating them. Wonderfully juicy and flavorful. The plan itself is a little shop - you walk into a mini mart and swing left into the eatery section. Grab a drink, order, wait. It took maybe 10-15 minutes for the food to come out, but it was hot and fresh and well worth the wait. The guy at the register has good enough English to get through the ordering process, but don't expect to chat unless you've got Spanish language skills. I would absolutely come back! read more

This place is legit, so much so that this review should probably be in Spanish. If you're a fan of the real deal then this is the spot. Tortas are some of the best I've had and everything else follows suit. Gets crowded at lunch so plan accordingly. Meh it's ok. I was psyched to try it after all the reviews but going in there it was tough to order bc the woman at the counter couldn't speak English so it's not like she can recommend something. I also searched for a menu but there was none and it was just a board with pictures of food basically with Spanish descriptions. Not really impressed and the food was just ok. It also doesn't seem that clean. The woman who took my order came out with food stains on her apron which kind of turned me off a bit. Definitely won't go back again. Let me start by saying I LOVE Mexican food. I am huge critic and find it hard to to get good Mexican food. I ate here for the first time today, staff was pleasant and helpful ( between my Spanish and their English). I ordered tacos carne asado and tacos Tripp. The food was amazing!!! I'vs been living in Bristol for 25 years and a Mexican friend of mine recommended this place too me a few weeks ago. This is as authentic as it gets IMO. The ladies in the kitchen are sweethearts and their small store front has a lot of definitely authentic Mexican products. My wife and I always get takeout since we live right around the corner. Everything we have tried so far (the gorditas and carnitas are to die for. I even bought a couple of pounds of carne enchilada to use at home. We have gotten food here at least three and every we wind up going back for more, not because you don't get enough but because it is that good. Great place, please don't change it. read more

It's few stores down from Sloan's Thrift store and Kat's Antiques is down the road. I had 3 tacos for $7.50; and they were good. I'll ask for a side of sauce next time. Ok. Just moved from California where mexican goods are not hard to find. Walking into this place I felt like a kid in a candy store! They have all the drinks, the sweet breads, spices, special produce items, dresses (15 anos, traditional etc), candies, meats, fresh pork skins, I could keep going. And the prices were very decent. I felt at home again in my new little mexico. A place where I can be as mexican as I want to be!! Side note, we went there for tamale supplies (ie. husks, ancho chilles, tomatillos for salsa, masa etc.) Yup, I'll be there often so long as I'm here in the NE. read more

Don't blink or else you'll miss it. So unassuming. Who would think that you could get some authentic tacos here? I didn't. Food is fresh tasty and cheap!!! I didn't care for the el pastor tacos though. Very off tasting and greasy! Other than that everything else!is awesome! They make tamales only on Saturdays. Still have yet to try hem though. They were closed for awhile for remodeling - open again. Fresh tasting soft chicken tacos - not on the menu but they will make them if you ask - the chips and salsa, and guacamole are tatsty. Worth a visit! read more
