For Muslim customers, exercise caution when slaughtering meat here as they use the same knives for pigs, and "halal" meat undergoes processing in the same machine as swine. I am not ok with this type of cross contamination. Furthermore, be vigilant with your meat as there have been instances of theft. A man named "Victor" initially directed a return, but upon arriving, he denied giving such instructions and claimed to have given away the meat. He offered to give me non halal meat as a substitute. Had my Kunekune pig processed there. Good service. Was a little unhappy with the skinning job I paid the guy for. He skinned it with the fat so there was no fat left on the meat quarters. But all in all a good experience. I will just need to specify more clearly. read more

Been coming here for years! Love the getting the freshest meat here. Be here bright and early to get the freshest killed butchered meat. Taste delicious. They even let you butcher the meat yourself. This is not a place for snowflakes and people that are sensitive. You will see dead animals brains and parts in the entrance. Pretty cool to bring your kids and teach them about the circle of life. Altogether with the picking of the goat, the burning off of the hair, and the butchering...took under an hour. Fair prices. And everyone was very nice and polite. Not a fan of meat or butchering services. But if your in search of a lechero pig for roasting this is the place. My brother was looking for a young pig to roast. We found them online and made the drive from OC. Bought a 30lbs piglet for $250. You select your pig, cow, goat etc. they will clean it and bag it for you. Its a small ranch with live stock and butchering services. Come early and be prepared to wait up to 2 hours or so before you get to take your freshly slaughter animal home. Be advised this place is not for the weak. It's pretty smelly, some might thing it's crucial and sick but others are in heaven at this facility. I did see a few cows that looked sick and in bad shape, breathing very heavy. I also witnessed a big truck come in a pick up a bunch of dead animals. It was very sad seeing a worker in a fork lift tossing them into a truck bed, you can tell the animals had been dead for days because the awful smell was lingering in the air for quite some time, made my stomach upset. read more

Best quality meat in the region. I have been getting beef from this place for many years, and I have never had any meat that is less than satisfactory . However the wait list is very poorly managed during Eid. Individual sells first 10 to 12 waiting spots for money and the farm authority allows it. It would be nice if wait is managed like first come first serve. One person can wait for one cow only. read more

This is my go to place to get goat meat because I don't know anywhere else. The prices are ok. My main complaint is how disorganized this place is! Like WTF! Half the time I don't know when my order is up. No one answers you, so you just have to stand around and sometimes it can be up to an hour and half and keep asking them if that's your order number or not. Is it so hard to just have a system that announces the order number so people don't have to wait inside where they are cutting up the meat and all sorts of crap flying around? Since I don't know of any other place where I can get my meat from, I have to stick it out with them. But everytime is really an ordeal. read more

Came here to pick out a pig for la caja china. Various sizes available. They also have cows, sheep, goats, chicken and ducks. Lots of workers to help you out. Took around 30 min from the time we choose the pig for the workers to clean it and take it to your car. Prices seem great compared to Lizzie's. The staff is more friendly. I took my cousin here who wanted to buy goat meat. The person selling told us that a goat is priced at $260 and would fetch about 55 to 60 pounds of net meat. We picked a decent sized goat from the lot. The goat only netted 36 pounds of meat. The result was that goat meat costs us more than $7 per pound. I could buy goat meat at super market for less than $5 per pound (sometimes on sale for $2 per pound). They seem to sell pig meat more than any other meat. Also, I would suggest that you negotiate with them (I should have) and not pay more than $220 for a goat (male goat decent size). read more
