Okay so this was my first time at a La Michoacána ice cream parlor. My friend who is Hispanic wanted to go inside and see if they had Horchata. Which they did have, so he was really happy about that lol I was just curious and went in to explore the menu and see what they have. The mangonada really caught my attention. I mean mangos? Mmmmm yes please lol Cold mango on a hot day sounded great to be honest. I did ask for substitutions though since I am a wimp and can't handle anything spicy lol I requested the mangonada without the spiciness. So she put the mango and the sweet chamoy sauce (that is the sauce that looks red) and it was yummy! Super refreshing and sweet. I loved the fresh mango and the chamoy sauce was a great compliment. Mine also came with a Mexican candy in it that was spicy on it's own. But I dipped the spicy candy into the mangonada and it wasn't spicy at all! It was actually really yummy lol So fun trying new foods from other cultures. I probably sound like the whitest Caucasian ever though. LOL read more

Actually I ordered some Indian food next door.and I was not interested in any of the drink options so I checked into this Lil Gem and ordered the Cucumber drink. Damnnnnnn off the chain. This drink was cool refreshing and I believe it's healthy. If not you sure tricked me. The best 4 dollar drink I've ever invested in. Now open til 10p!!! This place is super close to home, literally walking distance (in my heart and soul I'm still a westside Venice girl til I die!! The ie sucks lol). I went in yesterday. I purchased 2 paletas. The people who work there are super sweet. I had purchased the wrong paletas for someone, so I had to go back in and ask for a refund. I'm guessing it was the owner who came out, once I told the sweet girl, the person I had purchased them for didn't want them. She ripped me a new one. This place used to be great, a little pricey but worth it as they had good quality Ice cream and shakes I've tried just about everything here. However, the last few times I've gone my mangoniada has been freezer burned plus the mango has not been peeled all the way. I had pieces of skin in the Mangoniada plus the cup was not even filled all the way. I called to complain about this. I was told the manager would call me. Never received a call back. Event # 2. I ordered cheesecake ice cream, the ice cream was freezer burned. I tasted bits of frozen ice pieces in the cream. It's truly a shame that this is happened. will not be returning. read more

So happy this is close to home. Today was my first time taking my kids there and we were very pleased with the ice cream, the bionico. The place is nice, spacious and clean which is very important to me. Came here for a Paleta (Popsicle) and was really impressed. I got a strawberry Paleta with real strawberries frozen inside. It took me about 15-20 minutes to finish and not once did it melt or drip. It was tasty, not too sweet or bitter. They had A LOT of dessert options and plenty of flavors to choose from. The pricing wasn't too bad. The staff here were mostly nice, not overly friendly, mostly talking to each other, not the customers. Once we sat down to eat our ice cream and fruit Popsicles, the chatter from the employees was a bit loud. Overall a good experience. The seating area was clean. I thought this location was was a branch from La michocana in riverside/Moreno valley/Colton and corona. But it's not the same thing. I ordered a small mangoneada like I usually do at the other locations and I received my small cup and I went to pay. The lady charged me for a large and I showed her the size difference in the customer next to me that had the same thing but a larger cup. She told me they only have one size but she would discount me since I had a small cup. Also bring cash if you have a chip card because they apparently can't take it and you have to tell them every number on your debit card so they can punch it in. Horrible service, there is no method to the madness in this shop. There are no service lines. I walked up to the counter to ask for a simple coconut bar ice cream and was skipped twice by customers behind me. I thought maybe because I asked in English so I finally got someone's attention in Spanish. I was quickly given the ice cream bar by one of the employees as she expeditiously walked away before I could ask for anything else. I went to the cash register and was next in line to pay. The cashier serviced a man who walked in front of the line. I confronted her and she stated "oh I thought you were together"...really? Needless to say I left the bar and walked out. We just moved to town, and see this place always pretty packed so we are like "we should try that, it's probably good". We have been about 7-9 times. My husband LOVES the cream popsicles, I usually get ice cream, so far we love it . I've only had 1 flavor I wasn't a fan of everything else has been really good. My favorite part is the fact that they have elote and the spin wheel chip thingys.
