**Fungal infection** I was really hoping I wouldn't have to write this review, but the trauma from my nails being ruined is something I can't let happen to others. I've been going to this salon for the past year and it was always an amazing experience until this month. I've been getting my nails done for 17 years and I've never experienced any damage like this. Maly was the one who did the original manicure and acrylic refill, she was really kind and I enjoyed being in her chair, but the next day I developed blisters around my cuticles and they were burning. I soaked them in water and tried all the tricks I could find on the internet to calm my fingers down. About 5 days later I gave up and called the salon, told them I had gotten an infection, and they told me to go in that day. I went after work and the owner and receptionist both looked at my hands and said it must be an allergic reaction, which it kind of does when you look online. Then Cynthia (owner) took the nails off and she said she thinks maybe the tech I saw brought in her own equipment and that's how I got an infection. We had really good conversation and at the end of it I booked a future appointment for 1.5 weeks down the road with her and I tipped her $20 for the help. However, they did not offer me any refund and when I got in my car I noticed Cynthia did not take off all the base coat and primer around my cuticles. Even today my nails are inflamed and I'm developing more blisters, so I will be seeking medical attention. I have already warned family and friends to stay away from this salon, and I hope my review will help others be cautious about this place as well. My nails were beautiful, and my natural nails under the acrylics were strong and grew fast. Now they're nubs and barely grow. Absolutely unacceptable.

So I just want to say that I know everyone works differently. Even in the same salon people have different ways that they work. My experience my be different with Amy then yours May be with the next person. First of all this was my first time here. I called to make an appointment because although it says they do walk-ins, it seems to me like they are very busy from the reviews. I called one time (on a Saturday) and didn't get an answer. I called again and got an answer. I requested Cynthia because from the reviews and the pictures her work was beautiful. But she doesn't work Sundays. So I can scheduled with amy. Very kind. I always get the same thing mani and pedi. Amy tried so hard for me to get a gel pedi. Explained I don't want gel pedi a couple more times before she stopped pushing the envelope. My appointment was at 11. I got there at 11. From the minute I sat down in the pedicure chair and the minute I left it was 1148. Thats with the pedicure chair not being set up. So the water had to fill and everything. That's how rushed of a job it was. I should've just paid for a color change. That's how I feel. Compared to the salon I go to regularly, they don't have many color options. Two books with color displays on either side. And my experience there was soooo rushed. The only way I would ever come back here again is if I'm in a rush. She kept telling me to relax my self but it's so hard to relax when I'm thinking how can you possibly be doing a good job when you're rushing. I don't think I would come back. Also, te polish was supposed to be matching. As you can see, that's not the case. PERCS: everyone I spoke to was very polite. The hours are AMAZING. Lastly, the actual salon itself it nice. The price itself was $54 for gel mani and regular pedicure. Also you can tip on card, which most salons you can't. Disclaimer: I'm only looking for a new salon because of my work schedule and my husbands. Sunday seems to be the only day I can get my nails done. I was very pleased with the place I've been going to since 2019.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my pedicure and the services at La Moda Nail & Spa!!! Quinn did an AMAZING job, very friendly, gentle, really got to the source of my corns and callouses without using a razor! I was completely relaxed and ENJOYED my leg and foot message!! YES!!!! I felt like a new person when I walked out!! YES I do recommend Quinn and La Moda Nail & Spa to anyone who just want a great pedicure for those hardworking, tired feet!! Definitely 5++ service!!

This is what they looked like, and my two cuts are on the right of my thumbs cuticle line, the other on my middle finger.

I've been going to La Moda for over a year now, and unfortunately they've gone down in quality and care. they've cut my nail too deep not once, not twice, but THREE times now always to the point of bleeding. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they used to do so well, but they didn't even try to match the colors I had asked for. The paint is also already peeling, i got them done 20 minutes ago. It's a shame, I thought I had found my nail place but not anymore.

    Horrendous

You pay money and get your nails done to relax and feel good about yourself. I don't know why I ever go back here. I paid 55 and it looks like a child painted my nails. The woman at table 9 was extremely rude and was pulled my hands and feet like she didn't think I was a person. Want a refund but was too upset to even talk to the owner. Millennium is right around the corner and 100 times better

Just started going to this salon about two months ago,, drive all the way from philly well worth the drive!! Customer service is awesome and I don't have to wait long to get seated. Tech: Lola is the best

My original nails and shape as well as the nail I needed fixed.

I was looking for a new nail salon since my technician left the old nail salon. I was ONLY going for a refill! The atmosphere seemed very nice and it seemed organized. I liked the polish choices. However the technician who did my nails didn't seem to listen when I mentioned I was not happy with something. I even showed him my nails and explained my preferences before he removed the perfectly good acrylic I already had on my nails. I asked for a cut down, a refill, and repair on 2 nails. He instead removed my original acrylic and tips to do an overlay on my natural nails. During the process I requested some fixes as he was doing it and he told me not to worry he would reshape them the way I wanted. I gave the benefit of the doubt. Once he was done I could see the drastic difference in what I wanted and what I got. I was not happy with my nails. When I told him I did not like them he just told me I could pay up front. No apology, no offer to correct it, and no attempt at recompense. When I paid at the front they did not even ask how the service was. I am someone who is very humble so I don't see a need to cause undue issues by being rude or complaining. I make my dislikes known and if they are not listening then I have a choice. I may return to the salon to give them another chance but will definitely not be letting TOMMY do my nails again. He was a nice guy but didn't listen to the client. Definitely not worth $45

Poor customer service & work. Never again

Don't go to Jenny. She does not know what she is doing. Even worse, the owner does not care about customer service.

I don't wear tips anymore, so I rarely get my nails done. But when I do, this is the spot. I went regularly for about two years. I go to Cynthia all the time-she is so genuinely sweet and listens to what you want. She does a great job on every service-mani, pedi, facial waxing. The salon itself is really large and airy/sunny. One of the main reasons I am so devoted to this salon is that there is never that overpowering chemical smell inside. Reasonable prices and convenient times. Definitely recommend it and Cynthia!

This is square not coffin shaped ... Learn your shapes
    Evie S.

Just left this salon and not happy at all!! I was never asked what length i would prefer my nails to be, he just started cutting away at first I was ok with the length but when I asked for coffin shaped nails he cut them to look as if they were the to look like the shape I wanted but then when done the nails were different shapes wide and super short.. I Asked to speak with the owner (Mana) i asked if we could speak outside away from hee customers out of respect, I expressed my feelings showed her my nails and not once offered to make things better, she advised me to come back pay for a refill and she would add length "WTF" I am so angry no customer service, I paid $98.00 do not go to thia salon very overrated ... The owners are extremely rude and arrogant, if you don't look like you have money they'll deff give you the basic customer service.

I came in with builder gel already on my nails, and while I agreed to remove the previous set and add a $10 French tip on 4 nails, I was never told about extra charges added at checkout for "soaking off" and "length." Charging extra for removal makes no sense when nails are typically filed down during a new set anyway, and charging for length feels like an unnecessary add-on since maintaining length is part of regular fills and sets. Listing lower prices online only to add surprise fees is misleading, so I'd recommend asking about every charge beforehand. What made this worse is less than two weeks later my builder gel started separating from my natural nails and one completely popped off. During the appointment my nails were also burning badly under the UV light, which has never happened to me before despite getting builder gel regularly for the last 8 months. I called twice to address the issue and the manager has yet to return my call. Between the hidden charges, poor quality work, and lack of customer service, this was by far the worst builder gel experience I've had.

I don't do anything strenuous with my hands beyond normal daily activities, so for multiple nails to break so quickly is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the quality of the products being used. What's even more frustrating is the customer service. When I returned to the salon a few days later to explain the issue, I was told that once you leave the salon, there is no guarantee. No effort was made to fix the problem or offer any accommodation. If a salon can't stand behind its work for at least a couple of weeks, why should customers continue spending their time and money there? I actually drive from Philadelphia to come here because I believed the service was worth it. Unfortunately, this experience proved otherwise. With prices continuing to increase, I expected quality and customer service to match. Instead, I was left with broken nails and an even worse response from management. I won't be returning, and I would encourage others to consider whether this is a business that truly values its customers. Press-on nails might be a better investment.
