Given this was a memorial service reception, their lack of empathy and professionalism really put a damper on the entire reception. I think you guys can do better and hire better waitstaff.

One of the ladies at the counter was kind enough to explain subtle taste differences between the spice bottles, there are actual dry rub spices and there are bottles of barbecue sauce in different sublime flavors. There is a very long front counter at the meat/deli with different side dishes which traditionally accompany the barbecued meats, such as a counter with cooked meats to order to eat, a counter of deli meats and cheeses, plus a counter of raw meats to purchase to take meat home in order to do your own barbecuing or baking at home. Various shoppers were buying food to eat there, the place has several small tables along the interior walls to sit down and eat, other people bought meat to go, either the already barbecued meat, or raw meat or deli meat to go. I tried out the tequila lime half rack of ribs, which I brought home for dinner. It was tasty, nicely barbecued and seasoned, and does go perfectly with whatever sides you choose to buy. There are plenty of choices if you feel like buying barbecue or deli, especially when you don't feel like prepping the grill outside for your barbecued meals. This is also a place you can cater for a large party, there's a catering menu where you can pre-order your meats, whatever you'd want to serve when you're planning to entertain your guests or tail gate. I would come here again if I'm in the area, having barbecue without cooking is a very good choice, especially if you're too lazy to fire up the barbecue pit at home. There is plenty of parking at the lot available locate in the front of the store. Do try Kinder's if you're wanting to take a break from driving the long 680 freeway in the SF East Bay, it's a little off the beaten track for just a few miles, but if you live in the East Bay, it's a drive completely worth it in order to avoid cooking barbecue yourself!

Their BBQ was far more than simply combining meat with a BBQ on a bun for profit. It was as though they were able to extract the care and love a smoker were to possess and combine it into their food. I have never experienced such a well created meal. Chilly Willy's Smokehouse BBQ is the pentacle of BBQ. I cannot imagine any other establishments reaching their level of excellence.

I bought a pack of cremosa cookies here today on the 4th of July, 2019. First, there was a terrible odor in the store. Second, the ceiling vents were old and dirty. Third, the cashier didn't know the price of the cremosas, so she asked me for it. I said three thirty-nine ($3.39). Then I gave her $4. Fourth, the cashier gave me back only 1 cent and the receipt said $3.99. Fifth, the cashier redid the transaction but gave me back, only 1 quarter, 1 dime, and 1 cent, only 36 cents. I said three thirty-nine again and she FINALLY gave me the missing quarter ($0.61 total). I would give this place negative stars if possible. read more

Of course, they are only open for the evening time, usually starting around 6pm and into the later parts of the night. It's pretty straight forward food selection wise. Price wise, they're not bad for tacos, definitely not expensive. For their burritos and other options the prices are comparable to a sit down taqueria location. Let's talk food now. I've tried most of the meats here already and I think my favorite out of them all are probably the al pastor, and the carnitas. The pastor is nice and crispy as they are carved right off the meat on a stick. Great pastor for sure, though I did wish it was slightly fattier, but beggars can't be choosers. I feel one of the main downsides though is that they seem to run out of certain meats fairly early on in the day, even though they're open pretty late. Carnitas seems to always run out later in the evening, and not even late evening. And I've been there once at around 9am, and they were out of several meats. Definitely a good option for tacos around the area, even with the riches of options here.
