All those sandwiches I can never get credit for
    Maurice D.

I'm a little sad. I've been a long term Kinder's supporter. But today things are going to change. See the foods always been good but when I gave them my Kinder's Frequent Buyers Card, the little kid behind the counter sharply said we don't accept those anymore. A lady who possibly could've been the manager said they transferred everything over to a phone number, but they're not willing to transfer any of my prior purchases and my card is almost full. So with that said I won't return and I won't need to mention how filthy the place was because the photos speak for themselves

The staff were extremely unfriendly and made us feel as though we were being racially discriminated against. It was such an unpleasant experience that I never want to return. The meat and food were delicious, but it's disappointing that the staff seem to be so poorly trained.

I've seen their rubs and sauces at my local supermarket and Costco in the Southern California area. When my coworker suggested that we visit Kinder's for lunch, I couldn't say no. They are much more than a bbq joint. They started as a meat market and then started making sandwiches in the 1980's, and then started selling sauces and rubs. This location is supposedly their headquarters. We arrived at about noon. They were busy with lot of customers. They were both a meat market and restaurant here. They sold beef and pork on one side of the store. On the other side, they serve the meats. The 2 meat combo I got with brisket and their famous ball tip came with a side of cole slaw and macaroni salad. The brisket was tender. It was not smoky like a Texas brisket. But, it was good. The ball tip reminded me of a tri tip. I liked the flavor. Both the cole slaw and macaroni salad were good. It was a good place. I'm glad to have visited and seen the place that makes the rubs and sauces that I frequently see. I'll be back when visiting the area.

The Kinder's seasonings are extremely popular and when I found out they had a brick and mortar location I had to visit. Located near the freeway in Concord, this is a large deli with plenty of tables for indoor eating. You order at the counter which is pretty old school (love that). The menu is vast but definitely go with one of their BBQ'd meats. I chose a smoked brisket sandwich. The meat was tender and thick. Soft to the bite. Just enough fat but not too much. All served on a soft roll. My lady chose a turkey sandwich and as basic as it sounds it hit the spot. They carved their meat perfectly and pile the sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Also ordered the loaded tots which were bomb! Easily the highlight of our meal. The grilled chicken was delicious. They added avocado which you usually don't find on "loaded" items. More places should do as it balances out the grease and heartiness of meals like that. We regretfully didn't order the mac and cheese. It looked absolutely creamy and cheesy. Thanks to the guy behind the counter, Owen, for taking care of our order and going above and beyond to help us. Can't wait to go back again and again.

    ALL FAT

I've been a longtime fan of Kinder's in Concord, so whenever I'm passing thru on my way home to Lodi, I like to stop in. But yesterday's brisket sandwich 50% fat was sooo very disappointing. Granted, you expect a little fat on the end, but as anyone can see, that was way too much, so I won't be going back. I usually enjoy the car ride bec it smells so good all the way home, and yesterday was no exception in that regard. I ordered 2 brisket sandwiches and potato salad. $45.00 From the first bite and everything bite after that, and having that gross gelatinous blob of gross sandwiched in between the great bread, was just too too much. My husband didn't even open up the other sandwich and had pizza instead. Great customer service, as usual, but now I wonder if I had ordered in house, would that have been served to me, but since it was to go . . . .

I came here because my husband loves bbq. This place is right off the freeway. There's a really big parking lot. As soon as you walk in you see the menu. Someone takes your order. It's a little pricey but that's expected from bbq. The portions are a decent size and very filling. Also you can self serve your drink. Overall we had a good experience.

I will say that being a Bay Area native, I was accustomed to so many amazing deli options throughout the years. Which takes me to an East Bay staple, "Kinder's Meats" that was founded in San Pablo way back in 1946. Since then, they relocated to Concord and over the past few decades, they opened a variety of locations throughout the Bay Area including Martinez, Hercules, Pleasant Hill, (2 in) Walnut Creek, and Brentwood. The location I am focusing on is in Concord on Arnold Industrial Way and just north of Highway 4. I came here with my lady during the afternoon of Saturday 4/12/2025 at around 1:00 PM as we decided on indulge on a hearty lunch to carry us through the afternoon. The exterior parking lot is quite generous as it has enough ample space to accommodate dozens of vehicles. What makes this location unique is that their on-site catering building runs parallel to their restaurant. The interior layout of the restaurant is quite generous complete with lots of seating throughout, a nice assortment of cold cuts/meats behind their glass case, and a great selection of their signature sauces, marinades, dips, and spices. Even though this place was packed with hungry customers, the line moved fairly quickly. I decided on placing an order of the "Smoked Beef Brisket" plate (which included a soft drink) and chose potato salad and beans as my sides. I also opted for one of their smoked chicken thighs as this was more than enough food for my lady and I to split. Everything including tax came out to around $25 which isn't bad considering the amount of food you get. The young gentleman behind the counter was friendly, knowledgeable, and even called me by my name after my food was ready. As for the overall flavor, consistency, and satisfaction of my food, it was good but not over-the-top amazing. My brisket was packed with flavor as it was tender and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend using their mild Kinder's BBQ sauce as this will help boost the flavor to a whole other level. Otherwise, the meat itself was only lukewarm. However, my chicken thigh was hot and made very moist with a ton of great flavor. The beans were forgettable while the potato salad was just so-so for me. All in all, many people that visit here will be satisfied as they have been a part of the Bay Area for decades. They have a very nice selection of premium cuts of steak, beef, and pork while they carry an endless variety of sauces, some of which are exclusively sold here and can't be purchased at your supermarket. With decent prices, excellent customer service, a family-friendly location, and above average food, I am giving "Kinder's Meats Deli BBQ" in Concord a respectable four-star rating.

    Loaded Tots ribeye
    Brian T.

Spacious deli and bbq spot with friendly staff. Was able to recommend their specials and his favorites. Was looking for a quick bite and got the loaded tots with ribeye. Crispy tots with cheese, avocado, and bbq sauce. Ribeye was tender and had a good amount. Would come back to try their ribs and ball tip next time!

I got the Rib eye steak Sandwich! BIG MISTAKE ITS NASTY! All fat supposed to be hot meat was ice cold! The Mac n cheese it's dry and looks like it's been sitting since yesterday! $24 for this it's a ripoff! That's my opinion thanks for reading!

If you're looking for a decent spot for a quick lunch, Kinder's definitely delivers. It's reliable, fast, and hits the spot when you're in a rush. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the loaded tots--they're the highlight of the menu for me. Plus, you can't talk about this place without mentioning that their sauce is on point. It adds that perfect kick to everything. Great local option for a solid mid-day meal!

We really like this Kinders. First off, it's right by Zyland- so it makes for a very convenient lunch. It's much larger than the Kinders by Heather Farms and the Martinez location. Also the folks that work here are kind, fast and make a good sandwich. We got the Ribeye sandwich and it was mom and kid approved.

First time and Kinder's! I came with my fabulous co-workers and we all liked what we ordered! Clean store and plenty of available seating! We came at lunch time and even when they were busy the food came out less than 10 minutes and the brisket was tender and flavorful! The sweet potato fries were crispy but also soft on the inside and perfectly paired with their sauce! I think they also fried it with the meat oil--so it was so good!!!! I want some more brisket!

Their menu had several selections available to address various types of appetites. Their prices were acceptable and, as I would soon discover, would be well worth my choice choosing their truck over the others that were present. I admit that my food preferences sway toward BBQ. Their potato salad and beans were wonderful and customized. The beef sandwich, however, was the best I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. This is a phrase I do not state easily. Their BBQ was far more than simply combining meat with a BBQ on a bun for profit. It was as though they were able to extract the care and love a smoker were to possess and combine it into their food. The combo came with 2 sides and we chose mac and cheese and waffle fries with house rub. We started with the cauliflower bites, sticky flavor with comeback sauce. All the meats had good flavor. The pork had a slight sourness that was nice. Most of it was drier than I'd like though. Only the pork belly was actually flavorful, juicy, and tender. Mac and cheese and fries were both fine but won't be writing home about this. Cauliflower was pretty good, could be crunchier with more breading. The table had 4 different BBQ sauces. I really liked the tin roof non spicy. It was nice to have that many options. The staff were nice but maybe a little too attentive. They cleared our water cups before we were ready to go.
