Imagine driving from California to Las Vegas, ready to have a cute little vacation, lose some…read moremoney, make questionable decisions, and mind your business... AND YOUR TOYOTA DECIDES TO OVERHEAT AND THROW A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Ma'am. This was NOT on the itinerary. Apparently my water pump decided Nevada was where it wanted to die. RIP. So there I am, stranded in Vegas, stressed, irritated, and mentally calculating how much this little mechanical betrayal was about to cost me when I ended up with Daniel Lou Rossey at Toyota of Las Vegas. I told Daniel, "Listen, I work for Toyota too. I'm a service advisor back in California." At that moment, I think he could see the thousand-yard stare of a fellow service advisor who spends all day dealing with other people's broken Toyotas and was now being personally victimized by her OWN Toyota. Daniel took AMAZING care of me. He helped me out with the cost, got me into a loaner, kept everything moving, and basically prevented my Vegas vacation from becoming a three-day residency in the Toyota customer lounge. Because respectfully, I did NOT drive all the way from California to Las Vegas to sit under fluorescent dealership lighting drinking complimentary coffee while my water pump gets replaced. And because I work in the business, I KNOW what good service looks like. Daniel didn't just give me the standard "Sorry, your car is broken, here's your estimate, thoughts and prayers." He genuinely went out of his way to help me. Daniel deserves a raise. A bonus. Employee of the month. A plaque. His face on the building. Possibly partial ownership of Toyota of Las Vegas. Give that man WHATEVER HE WANTS. He saved my vacation, my wallet, and approximately 73% of my remaining sanity. 10/10 service. Daniel, THANK YOU for taking care of a fellow Toyota service advisor in her darkest hour. Hopefully the next time I'm in Vegas, the only thing overheating is me by the pool. And Daniel... with all due respect... I hope I never have to see you again.

Unfortunately, what started as a perfectly normal and pleasant test drive turned into an extremely…read moreuncomfortable and frustrating sales experience once we started discussing numbers. The initial price presented to me was around $27,000-$28,000 with several optional add-ons. After I asked for those to be removed, the price dropped to around $24,000. I then asked about trading in my current vehicle and was initially offered only $500, despite having a current $1,400 offer from CarMax. After I mentioned that, they said they would see if they could match it. My biggest issue, however, was not the negotiation itself. It was the attitude and pressure I received after I made it clear that I was not making a same-day decision. I repeatedly explained that I already had a relationship with my bank and wanted to take the numbers to my loan officer, review the financing, and give the dealership my decision on Monday. Instead of respecting that, I felt increasingly pressured to let them run my credit and sign paperwork. I was told that the price essentially had "no value" if I was taking it to my bank and that they couldn't guarantee the numbers without guaranteeing my business. The salesperson also became visibly frustrated and accused me of essentially using the dealership just to get numbers without having any intention of doing business that day. That was particularly disappointing because I had been transparent about my intentions throughout the conversation. I was genuinely interested in the vehicle; I simply wasn't willing to make a $20,000+ financial decision on the spot without reviewing everything with my lender first. As a customer, I should be able to test drive a vehicle, negotiate a purchase price, review the numbers with my lender, and make an informed decision without being made to feel guilty or as though I'm wasting someone's time. I walked in genuinely considering purchasing this vehicle. I walked out feeling pressured, talked down to, and uncomfortable continuing to do business with this dealership. Buying a car is a major financial decision, and customers should be encouraged to understand exactly what they're agreeing to, not pressured into making an immediate commitment because they asked for time to review the numbers.

Allowing them to Frankenstein them into one car. I took my car to a local VW dealership for a warranty issue. And to have a second key made. It turns out my car has three VIN numbers. One in the windshield, one on the wiring harness/security system and one last one on the engine block. After I purchased my car I saw them rebuilding a van in the back lot. They even said it was so they didn't have to report it on Carfax. Huge red flag but unfortunately after I had already given them the money for my vehicle. I tried go back about issues I was having with my car. I was told "What do you expect it is a used car?" Well I didn't expect them to misfile my paperwork with DMV, I didn't expect the three VIN numbers on one car, I expected to be able to get a key made. On the purchase contract I wanted two blemishes that chipped the paint repaired. They used one of those touch up pens trying to color match the car. Even after complaining it wasn't up to standard. I once again heard "What do you expect? It is a used car" I expect you to honor your written contacts. I expect my car to have only one VIN number. I expect them not to commit fraud by subcontracting things like mayor bodywork to avoid the Carfax report. I expect that if they didn't fill the DMV forms out correctly to correct that. Not to tell me tough get out. Frank is a nice understanding guy unless Fred is there next to him. Then suddenly he would never say bring it back we will take care of it. Fred, stereotypical used car salesman.

The floor manager promised me a roof rack and sent me in to the finance manager's office where I signed a pile of paperwork. I must have had a severe lapse in judgement, because I ended up paying $8000 more than the price the salesman and I came up with. It was the sticker price with $2242 added on. I asked the finance guy what that was for and he just said, "Everybody pays that". It didn't hit me until the next morning when I looked over the paperwork and realized how badly I'd been screwed. I should have gotten up and walked out, but I signed everything, so it's my fault. I ended up stuck with the rotten deal, and never got the roof rack the floor manager promised. I had to pay $642 to the parts department to order a spare tire and jack (those don't come with the new cars). It's been almost a month and I haven't heard anything about that either. I wrote to the general manager, complaining about my experience, and the roof rack and the $2242 additional charges. He called me and told me that was for something or other (I forgot what it was) and $1650 for some sort of eternal GPS service. That was included in the dealer add-ons on the sticker. He said that was only good for a year, and the $1650 was for the period of time after that. He offered to refund that amount to the bank financing my loan to pay toward the principle, after I signed something that he would email to me. He didn't email anything to me. Never heard from him again. I don't know what his name was; he mumbled it incoherently when he introduced himself and he apparently called from a google phone number. The only way to get ahold of him is by snail mail. I give up. I'll have to buy my own roof rack if they are ever available, and probably need to dispute the charge for the spare tire and jack with my bank. I'm not going back there for service. That place gives me the creeps.

When we brought this up, the service on-site was unhelpful and dismissive. The representative essentially gave us an ultimatum: accept a brand-new car that already needs body shop repainting, or reject it and wait 6 to 8 weeks for a replacement. Expecting a customer to accept a repainted vehicle or face a multi-month delay for a car they've already paid for is completely unacceptable for a new vehicle purchase. Zero effort was made to help us find an expedited solution or work with us. Be extremely careful and inspect your vehicle thoroughly before taking delivery at this location.

I tried to explain that we got assigned VIN number before we got a chance to check out the existing inventory for possible upgrades, and her response was that that was the policy and there was nothing we could do about it. Terrible experience, and reflects poorly on Tesla in Las Vegas.

Went to buy a 2018 Gray Honda civic type R, however when I was being shown one the color which was Black & was definitely not right but the sales rep. was certain it was just color difference in online photos, I took the car for a test drive clutch felt like it was slipping in first gear but she was insisting that it was just my imagination and it went through their inspection and passed. After half way through signing the sales manager introduced himself to me only to tell me then that the car I test drove was not the 2018 but the 2021. when I asked to go see the car I was half way through signing for I was in disbelief. The 2018 in the right color was in terrible condition it needed to replace the Driver side fender, Battery, Brake pads, and all 4 tires!?!? I ended up buying the 2021 after that. A month of ownership the fork throwout bearing for the clutch goes out, Their is no clutch face left, oxygen sensor needed to be replaced as a check engine light was thrown on the dash and my serpentine belt was cracked!? After I had all of those taken cared of I immediately cancelled my Extended warranties they had sold me as well as my oil changes. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR INSPECTIONS ON THEIR INVENTORY. HAVE A TRUSTED TECHNICIAN YOU KNOW DO ONE FOR YOU. Do yourself a favor and stay away from AutoNation, Carmax & Carvana they are all the same. The only good thing with them is when you sell your car avoid buying a car from them. I'd give them no stars if I could just a awful experience from being to end.
