Sooo, let me tell you about Luxury Nail & Spa in Buford!!! I did a walk in appointment on a Saturday afternoon, which was my first time ever going there and was instantly seated for my pedicure. There had to be at least 10-12 nail techs of which half were available. I went in for a fill in (with design) and a pedicure. The establishment was very clean, a lot of chairs to be seated in, smelled pretty good, was pleasant, and peaceful. It has a great esthetic and the staff were super nice. They greeted me with smiles and accommodated me with every request I made (I can be particular.) Lan and Trang worked on my nails and feet at the same time and it took about 2 hours. The jelly pedi and massage was really nice, would have liked to soak my feet just a tad bit more in the jelly.They can fix an ingrown successfully as well. I showed them a picture of what I wanted done (see last attached picture) and they executed just fine. Usually, I do prefer to do one service at a time because it gives you time to enjoy each separately without being tugged in multiple ways. The prices were maybe on the slightly higher end but I believe you get what you pay for. I paid about $150 and left a tip. I definitely will be going back and plan on setting up an appointment. It would be nice if I could rate them based on service, but there was no sticking around this place. I'd reserved pedicures a week ahead online for my daughter's 8th birthday and myself. Maybe their system is flunky, I don't know, but when she and I went in and waited at the counter to be told "we're busy it's going to be a long wait" only to see not one, but two groups come in after us and be seated immediately by a different member of their staff after one said "I booked an appointment online", I had no interest in waiting around any longer. Soooo for the sake of a beauty review I decided to try a new spot and it was definitely a mistake! I always say at nail salons when someone new walks in give them to the best techs because you want them to come BACK! That didn't happen today although the tech was super sweet, I've never been so disappointed with the final product. My nails aren't shaped properly at all. I don't think she put the final coat for the gel because it's matte and it's supposed to be glossy like the nail I saw the color on originally. Some of the nails have lint or hair painted into them lol I've taken pictures immediately after leaving the shop so you can see exactly what kind of work they are okay with having represent their establishment. The pictures honestly look way better than they look in person. A VERY big difference I noticed from my go to nail spot in Buford was the customer service! At check out I thought they would ask how do you like your nails or something but I got NOTHING. The girl who checked me out couldn't bother to look up from whatever she was doing on her phone to even collect the money. She did look up to ask me to enter my number for the loyalty program and I responded no thanks I won't be back and she went right back to her phone I saw another young lady walking up to her while I was cashing out and thought maybe she will be different but she just said something to her and dove into her phone also. I went to get my nails done at my usual place, and my guy wasn't there. So, I ended up visiting Luxury Spa & Nails and had the best pedi ever, by Helen. She was very thorough and my feet are actually soft on the bottom. An added plus is that she didn't try to use the razor blade callus remover on the bottom of my feet, but she achieved even better results. She cleaned and shaped my toes nicely and the massage was great! She even massaged my knees. I thoroughly enjoyed her pedi. Kim did my nails. She did a nice job. My shape is just a little off on a couple of nails, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to that. I didn't say much about it, so I can't complain. I did appreciate Ms. Kim's hand and neck massage at the end of my mail services. That was a nice touch. Overall, my experience was pleasant and I'd return. I had my nails done here for about a year and loved it. Lately though, the quality of the service seems to be declining. They used to take time with you and make sure you felt very pampered. They last few times they have been very rushed, even with other technicians sitting around on their phones, so I don't think it was because they were busy. Terrible experience. We stopped by today 9/2/2021 for service. The first person we saw was rude and unprofessional. Gave us COVID safety procedures and she had no mask. We looked passed that and just wanted to have a relaxing time. During my wife's manicure and pedicure she became uncomfortable and needed water. No one initially responded to her, to these women the work was more important. I asked did you not hear me and she replied yes. So she just took her time. I came here because I'm new to the Hamilton Mill area, but they are HORRIBLE! I came for a fill in Friday April 2nd and the tech that first did my nails mentioned that my nails were cheap but she couldn't even do them. She started to messed up my shape, so I complained and then got with Trish. First of all my previous nail tech was better, but she failed to redo my acrylic after I had her file the gel color off my nails because i didn't like the color. Anyway now it's Saturday and one of my nails split. I go in Monday upset wondering why and stated that I didn't appreciate how she called my nails cheap and didn't know how to fix them. That's when Trisha decides to tell me I needed a full set. I've been getting my nails done and filled in for years and if it was needed they would've told me that before completing the fill in and at that point it would've been my decision. It doesn't matter what i asked for, they wanted to talk shit but couldn't fix it. I asked trish why couldn't you tell me that and she was ignoring me and brushing off my question. She wanted me to pay her again and $80 at that for a soak off and full set because she failed to tell me that a full set would've been best. That's crazy because I was just there 3 days ago and you want me to pay all over again? I think not. Trish seems to be the only ones that knows how to do everything and I'll be darned if it's so busy she running around so much and get confused and seem to rush because she could've told me i needed a full set. Then to top it off, I seen where another nail was starting to split and I asked her to fix it along with the other nail repair I was there for. However, she refused and insisted a full set. I understand that's what i need, but before I paid for a fill in, if a full set was best she should've communicated or when I asked to get the other repaired she could've did it because when i get home and I'm buttoning up a shirt the nail she refused to fix popped off. I took my mom in to get a new set of SNS nails. The technician didn't soak my moms nails to take off the existing set instead she used clippers to break the tip and the she used a nail tip to go between the nail. This damaged my moms nail and the nail will need to grow out quite a bit before we can go back. I was very disappointed. read more
