I'd probably give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could. My friend and I get our nails done every two weeks. We get dip manicures and regular pedicures. We're trying all the nail salons around Westchase because we haven't found one that we love yet. This one was the cheapest. It was $65 for dip manicure and regular pedicure (for comparison, Organic is $70, Tre Nail is $75 and Premier Nail Bar is $85). So based on that fact alone, I don't feel like I got a terrible deal. In about 1 1/2 weeks one of my nails chipped. Since we go every 2 weeks it wasn't the biggest deal in the world, but still slightly annoying. My friend wanted neon yellow on both her hands and feet. They assured her the colors would be the same. Her feet came out just yellow. She actually disliked it so much she went somewhere else the next day to switch out the color (but she is on the particular side). I, on the other hand, loved my nail color. I got a dark red and it was exactly what I wanted. They were very busy for a random Thursday at 4 p.m. I heard them tell people it would be 15 minutes and they sat around for longer. A man left and came back and was angry they told him 15 minutes again. They responded you never said when you were coming back! Touche. I would definitely call ahead and not just walk in. Overall the mani and pedi were fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad, hence the three stars. read more

I am really not impressed with the cleanliness of this place. I could see the tools they were using were super dirty. They have lots of colors of gel polish, however had no clue how to properly apply neon colors. One coat white and 2 coats color. So I ended up with 4 coats of gel to try and disguise the transparency of the color. I even told him thank god I get them done again in 2 weeks. My pedicure looks pretty but I'm going to rub my feet with rubbing alcohol when I'm home in hopes of preventing disaster. I'm really not impressed. I shouldn't have been charged for my gel as they could clearly tell I was not not not happy. Go elsewhere if your in the area or visiting town. read more

I'm new to the area and went in for a pedicure. of course I knew they would offer me add on ( up selling) and when I asked how much for a certain spa treatment she avoided the question and never answered me. I got the treatment as I just moved and needed relaxation. ( mind you, I've never paid more that $50 for a spa pedI cure so I figured it would be about that). when all is said and done, I get up to pay and they tell me $70!!!!! I was taken aback. they should have told me upfront. Waited 35 min, and some lady and her daughter walked in as they were both seated with a technician before me. I have been here a few times over the past couple of years. It has become better over the years. I went on a very busy Friday night for a pedicure & they were very prompt with at least letting us sit in the chairs to soak our feet in the water before a nail tech could start us. I appreciate that- they are a little pushy, though, with trying to get you to get add-on's, which is the reason I took off a star. My niece went with us, she's 3, and they were very nice & patient with her, even though they were busy! They had a great selection of color- regular, dip powder and gel. They were clean & I did see them sterilize tools. One thing that was kind of annoying (another reason to only give 4 stars) was that they had their back door open, even after the sun went down, and mosquitos & nats were flying around inside! My pedicure was great, and my sister & nieces manicures & pedicures were also great! The location is in a little strip plaza on countryway BLVD, parking is OK. Pricing is similar to nail salons in the westchase area- $22 for a spa pedicure (nothing fancy). All in all, but a horrible place. They have some new employees there that do a better job than when I used to go a few years ago. read more

Awful customer service from my nail tech. She charge me $35 for what I usually pay $30another place. She did not touch my cuticles or do a hand massage with lotion. When I asked her why she didn't do these things she said they were extra and it wasn't included. Irritated. They were pushy and didn't speak to us at all except for when they were trying to upsell us. Pushed my feet around instead of asking me to move them and kept leaving in the middle of my pedicure to help other people. C'mon. Although I reside in the Carrollwood area, I believe the short drive to this salon located in Westchase is well worth it! From the first step in the salon, you are greeted by Tammy and her staff with a warm welcome. Not only am I a client, but my two daughters, who have been getting manis and pedis since they were young, are also welcomed with smiles and inquires of how they are doing. Chipped and fading gel polish within couple of days and when I went back to have them correct it she was very rude and unprofessional. I've been going to LA Nails for over 10 years. They are competitively priced, family owned and conveniently located in the Westchase/Waterchase/Nine Eagles area. The owner/Manager, Tammy, takes great pride in ensuring her customers are happy. Not a visit goes by that Tammy doesn't ask about my family -- and she genuinely cares. Kelly, Annie & Christine are fantastic! They have several options for types and colors of polish and types of pedicures. They're happy to do your manicure and pedicure at the same time, upon request, which is great in a time crunch. I love the deluxe pedicure as you choose either orange or lemon scent for your salt scrub, paraffin cream with hot towels and hot stone legs and foot massage. I am very germ conscientious so I love that they line the pedicure foot basin with a disposable plastic bag. They also have an option for you to purchase a kit with a personal nail file and buffer that you leave for future visits. You can readily see that equipment is sanitized in UV light sanitization devices. We have several choices for nail salons in the Westchase area, but years ago LA Nails earned my trust and they have been my go to nail salons for 10+ years. I have tried going to this place several times because it is close to home but my nails always look awful after 3 days and I have a mess around my cuticles. The pedicures are ok and they do not take time to really massage your legs, hands and arms during pedicures and manicures they are fast at it and always seem to be in a hurry and want to get another person in the seat, I took 3 my family members from out of state there last week and they were disappointed in the service as well. The manager or owner seems to always be stressed and if you get her you can bet she will get up at least 3-4 times to get someone taken care of and that is not relaxing at all. She should stay focused on client and have a receptionist at the desk at all times so no one has to get up and help someone. read more
