I'm glad I found this place on Yelp and tried it out. Everyone is right, Nick is great. When my three friends and I arrived we had a short wait. Nick offered us complimentary bottled water which was a nice touch. When the nail polish fumes were a little too much for my group, Nick kindly opened the door to ventilate the shop. He even offered to open the back door. Andy did my gel manicure and he was awesome! It was fun chatting with him and he was so friendly and did a great job. I live in Hawaii but will definitely be back when I visit my sis again. This shop is a great value. My gel manicure was only $27. If you pay with cash you save $5. Wish I knew that before I came in bc I only had my card. Also, you cannot write in a tip so the moral is: make sure you have cash. If you pay with cash you save money AND they give you a frequent buyer card where you can earn a free service. High school kids save 10%. There is a station for you to charge your cell phone which is nice. Have been going to LA Nails for a while now every 2 weeks for a fill and polish. All the staff are super nice. The place is clean, they have a huge color selection of gel and non gel polish. The service is superb and always timely, you not there forever, but just long enough to have ur nails be perfection! All staff are creative in their nail designs, and seem to laugh,have fun and love their work! High school students get 10% off with a school ID, they accommodate all ages. Their prices are lower then others around, but fair and affordable! Absolutely recommend them to others! read more

They just upgraded their pedicure chairs, which are even more comfortable then the last ones they had. LA Nails keeps everything clean and sterile, even going as far as using a new tub liner for each pedicure. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend going to LA Nails. I have gone to LA Nails for YEARS and always see one particular technician. She's fabulous! However, Over the past year the ownership has changed and the entire Salon has gone downhill. Recently I made a last minute appointment for a gel polish change and was so disappointed I actually got up and left in the middle of the service. (I called too late and was unable to see my nail technician because she was already booked... good for her, bad for me.) Figured Seeing somebody else for just a polish change would be okay....nope, Wrong!!!! The cleanliness of the salon is completely unsatisfactory. The table I was sitting at was filthy... it was early morning and It Should've been cleaned the night before and wiped down in between clients that day. The woman opened the sanitized tools and dumped them on the dirty table. Sick.... Being in this industry myself I am constantly looking around to make sure things are clean and well taken care of. Never had an issue with my preferred girl, her table or tools. Sad to admit but, I've actually been looking for a reason to leave but I LOVE my nail tech, her professionalism and cleanliness. Found out she was leaving the salon and I am happily following her to her new workplace. GOOD THINGS DO COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! I called and made an appointment and they took me right away when I got there and that turned out to be super important as I saw a walk-in wait 45 minutes for her pedi. I come here almost every month for a pedicure and I have always had very positive experiences. It's typically pretty busy on Saturday's as well as Sunday morning so it's a good idea to call first and make an appointment. The technicians are very friendly and only once did my lady seem rushed. Really upset and disappointed after my most recent visit. I sat down and let them know I had an hour which the nail tech said was fine. I had to reiterate about 5 times that I wanted acrylic nails and that I did not want a short-nailed manicure. Once sitting, it was 53 minutes until I went to wash my hands post nail removal. In what world does it take 50 minutes to remove acrylic nails? Furthermore, they then kept offering to paint my nails with simple regular polish, continuing to forget I wanted long acrylics. This salon is nasty dirty. I can not believe people even go to this place. I went for a mani and pedi and left scared I would have picked some kind of fungus up. When I got there they had me go sit where the pedicure chairs are to wait. As I sit in an empty pedicure station waiting there is someone in the chair next to me all done with her pedicure, but sitting there with her toes drying. After a few minutes someone comes and gets her and leads her out of the chair and to the spot to dry her nails. All of a sudden a woman comes over and looks at me and tells me to move over to the chair the woman got out of a few min prior. Helllll no!! I said, that chair is dirty! She looks and says, no it's clean. I said, no I just watched the other lady take someone out of the chair five min ago and nobody washed this chair. The lady then cleans the chair and fills it. I don't know why I didn't leave at that point because it gets even worse. So now after my pedi I go over to the manicure chair and have another lady and she starts my manicure. As she's removing my polish I look at the tools on the table and there is crusty cuticles inside the cutters she has there for me. I mean full of skin. I'm thinking, she isn't going to use these on me is she??? YUP!! She picked those up and I pulled my hand and said, those are dirty and I am all set with a manicure thank you I will pay for my toes. I left and I WILL NEVER GO BACK. This place needs to be closed down. Dirty fingernails all over the tables just unsanitary! I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

There are much better options around. Never seems fully clean. Always cramped. My most recent visit the tech doing my nails seemed to be struggling with the technique and it clearly shows in the final result. I kept my complaints to myself since the person helping me didn't say more than 4 words to me (wash hands no soap) and seemed like my being there was an inconvenience on their time. Didn't pay attention to the color I picked out but I didn't hate it so whatever. Lesson learned. I'll keep these nails for 2-3 weeks until they grow out and then visit elsewhere from now on. read more

Went in for a gel manicure, they did a horrible job! My nails are all different lengths and crooked. They didn't even have me wash my hands before the starting painting, so now I have bits and pieces of what they filled in my polish. Won't go back and wouldn't recommend this place. WOW! This place is incredible! I went in on a Saturday afternoon, and it was packed - did a little shopping in the area, and came back. They seated me as fast as they could - super comfortable chairs! I got the jelly pedicure for the first time - awesome! The woman was so nice - took her time, did an excellent job on all of the steps...I rarely get pedicures so this was a treat to myself, and I got everything I wanted out of it! So glad I went here yesterday. I called the day before and reserved a spot for 3, but then my son decided to join us so I showed up with a party of 4. They were very accommodating and kind to add one more pedicure. I had a hangnail that no one else had been able to remove and they were so helpful. They went the extra mile to find and remove it for me. It wasn't easy either! My son hasn't had a pedicure since he had surgery a few months ago - they were so gentle and only did what he could tolerate on his healing foot. We all left feeling so good and relaxed. The birthday girl in our group got her nails done too and they looked beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend LA Nails. Call ahead if you can get a group of your friends or family together and go together. LA Nails is off the beaten path and may not be as crowded as some other places, which worked out great for us. The music and atmosphere is very tranquil. The ladies were all very professional and gentle. I honestly don't know how anyone could post a negative review for this place. We had such a delightful experience. Everyone at this nail salon is always very nice and accommodating they greet you as soon as you walk in and are always on point with service. I like designs on my nails so I often come in with a picture of a design and they always do they best to get it just how I want it. Most of te time its just like the picture. Yesterday they scheduled me at 4 pm for a fill, so I scheduled my next appt for 5:15 thinking an hr is plenty. They didn't start working on my nails until 4:35! He rushed my nails, they weren't what I wanted, and I STILL missed my next appt. Forgiving that inconvenience, came back today (day after) to let them fix it, they scheduled me at 12:30 pm. This lady tells me they made a mistake scheduling me again but blamed me for it, saying they wrote down 10:30 am instead of 12:30 pm but I KNOW he said specifically on the phone not until this afternoon later, I didn't even call until after 10:30 so there's no way I would've been scheduled for 10:30. So they're REALLY getting inconsiderate with their sloppy scheduling practices and if they dont fix this I will never be back. Decided to give LA nails a try. I went in to have dip nails done and the tech did not do a good job. I left unsatisfied but decided I would go back first thing in the morning to get them fixed. When I went back in the morning the tech that did my nails the day before was not in and so another nail tech (the partial owner) tried to fix them. Still very clumpy and sticky with terrible margins meaning the dip did not even go to the nail bed. After this I simply asked for my money back. I was told that nails should look this way and that I was wrong for asking for my money back. The lady accused me on a Sunday night of "partying" with my nails that I had for less than 2 hours before I went to bed when they were chunky and sticky. She then would not give me my money back after attempting to fix them. She was yelling at me telling me she was so angry with me and I wasted an hour of someones time and how much of a disgrace It was. Bottom line I nicely asked just for my $40.00 back so I could put it to better use. This is unacceptable and terrible customer service. Taking about me in Chinese, grabbing my hands, taking off my nails very rough. needless to say I would stay away. read more

I won't be coming back here. I was a walk in for a pedicure but it was slow and at leas 3-4 workers were sitting without clients so there was no reason for this guy to rush, but he did. The guy who did my nail didn't say one word to me the whole time, which is fine. But he was not focussed at all on my pedicure. He was too busy listening to the conversations of his coworkers and watching tv to even pay attention. He have me a half assed leg rub and scrubbed my feet and then quickly painted my toes. Lasted maybe 10 mins. Then he put me under the dryer and didn't turn it on so I sat there for 5-10 minutes without it on (I had no idea). Then he came over and said oops and asked me to pay. Waste of my time. I'll continue to go to Elegant nails where the pedicure (for the same price) includes cuticle clipping, foot scrub, leg exfoliation, leg/foot massage, hot stones, warm towels on the feet, and a technician who takes their time and does work that will last more than a week. read more

Always easy to get an appointment and I've had no problems with walk-ins or wait time. The staff is kind and professional, always doing their best to ensure your comfort. I've always been happy with results, and they offer a generous student discount for college kids. Their pedicure chairs look a little outdated, but are still functional and very clean. In the past I have received great service and always on time. The older lady that works their has come to know that I come over during my lunch hour so I'm on a time crunch. However, the past 2 times I have scheduled appointments I have waited around so long that I either had to shorten the service or just flat out walk out. Today I scheduled an appointment for a pedicure for 1 o'clock. After sitting around for 20 minutes the gentlemen at the front tells me to take a seat at any of the open chairs (they were all open). I have a seat and 5 minutes later the girl walks over to fill the tub. At this point all I have time for is a quick pedi. Another 5 minutes go by and nobody is tending to me. The girl that filled the tub is now helping another customer out with questions about polish. Back and forth they go as I'm sitting in a tub of water with no salts or anything. The lady proceeds to ask her if she has time to do a shellac mani for her and the girl says sure and has a seat. Now I have time for no service, I wipe my feet off and tell the guy at the front the deal and walk out. I will certainly never be back which is such a shame considering they do offer great services for the prices. They need to better manage their time and maybe shouldn't take appointments if they can't keep them. After 2 failed appointments I will only go to Nails and Co in my town even if they are pricey. At least they keep their appointments on time and if there is any conflict they have extra staff on hand that will treat you! read more

I had a nail place that I swore by for years, but after changing ownership, and me changing jobs, I just lost interest in my dearly loved pink and white sets. But, tax time came around and I decided to treat myself. Per a friends recommendation I came to L.A. Nails since I work in Milford. She said NICK is the best, but that CASH also does a good job with pink and white. I called ahead of time to ask if Nick would be available but alas, he was on vacation, but the woman on the phone assured me that Cash would take great care of me. I arrived a little earlier than I expected but they were ready and they knew who I was! "oh, youre here for pink and white? go to #5 please" Cash came out and greeted me warmly, again, already knew what I was there for. He was very attentive and didnt rush through the process. I hate when they try to get you in and out in a half hour. Cash spent about an hour on my nails and the effort shows. I work in shipping and have for almost a decade, so my natural nails get BEAT UP. He didnt seem to mind and was very thorough, and they came out great! In fact, I think they look better than my previous nail place! Also, Cash is very personable and easy to talk to.
