Although I don't come for other services other than a pedicure, I can see the other customers always seem to be happy and coming back like myself Linda, has been the person taking care of me on each of my visits and has for many years This salon offers nice massaging chairs which I like as much as my pedicure I choose which back massaging mode I like from deep kneading to light or heavy chops Linda does an excellent job and I couldn't be happier No nail polish for me. I am a regular customer here. Yesterday, I finished a pedicure and was getting a manicure. The manicurist near me, who was between customers, seemed to have a cold. I watched her repeatedly wipe her nose with her hands, wipe her hand on the wall, then several times put a finger all the way up each nostril and twist. She also inserted a finger in each nostril and scraped the walls inside each nostril. It was unbelievable, and sickening. She never used a tissue or washed her hands. I wanted to say something-she seemed to have no idea how unacceptable this was, and no coworker reacted. read more

Henry is the most incredible nail stylist. He is flexible, meticulous, kind and always there for his clients. If he is on his phone it it likely because he is texting another client or taking care of a family member. I have been going to ideal every two weeks for two years and I can't say enough good things. read more

Had a horrible experience at this place. I asked for french with neon tips for pedicure and asked for a pink base like in french. The person doing my nails added 4 coats of the base to make it look very untidy and nothing like a french nails. She was also rude as she was talking in her language to her fellow mates and clearly her body language did not show her being apologetic. Never going back to this place. read more

I moved to hopkinton last year from Boston. And need a new nail place. I usually don't post yelp reviews but I went and got my dip done here for the first time and May did such a great job and I couldn't be happier with the end result! I had gone to another place in Hopkinton and the guy had cut my skin on multiple fingers when filing and they were chipped in a week. I told May that and she listened and made sure everything looked good! I attached a picture so you can see. This is 5 days after I have gotten them done. Had been a regular customer here for years. My last appointment was pretty bad. The table area where I had my manicure was filthy, caked on dust on the table, the lamp and everything else. The guy who did my manicure was basically texting throughout the manicure. How can you do that? Text while giving a manicure, that's absurd. Won't be going back. read more

Don't go here, there are plenty of other better quality salons within minutes. Today we had an appointment at 4pm, we were not seated until 4:45om after waiting and the techs taking other customers first. My friends nails were so quickly done with dip, the owner clearly did not care about the quality of her work and was rushing. She noticed her cuticles were not cut, and this was after her technical said that she needed to tip all 3 techs who helped her. My pedicure was smudged even after getting a gel manicure after, no one offered to fix it. I understand that salons are busy but this place has no pride or quality control in their work. Go pay the exact same price at christines and you'll get a much better experience. read more

I have been here 3 times. Each time, my nails themselves have come out fabulous.... the first time, I was so impressed, I had cute 4th of july nails (pictured) and they were amazing! The second two visits I just got a dipped color. The second visit, the tech made a few of my cuticles raw to the point that they bled... now I get that mistakes happen, but getting your nails done should be pampering yourself, not sitting there in pain waiting for it to be over. Regardless, my nails were pretty and lasted, they were just really sore for the next few days. This last time, I paid more attention. The tech made 7 out of 10 of my nails bleed from over cutting the cuticle with trimmers THAT SHE JUST TOOK OUT OF THE DRAWER AT HER STATION. That's right, she made me bleed with a tool that she most likely used on other customers.... even if it was sterilized over night, that tool was still probably used on others before me (I came in at 5 PM). When the trimmers didn't cut me, the dremel, or the techs nails did. All of my nails are swollen/raw. So, yes, this salon does great work that you wont be able to enjoy for at least a week because your fingers will be in pain and swollen for that long. And that's hoping that you don't get an infection from unsterile equipment being used. Updated with pictures from the next day. All my nails are red, sore, and some are scabbed!!!! read more

Second time in, and what a $hit-$how! The owner had to take over my pedi & gel mani-and she rushed and it was worse than ever! I've called to try & get it fixed, (after paying $220; had to tip each tech, (3), then pay top dollar for services that was done, half-assed)!! Had them done Thursday, went next door to 110, and noticed "stress-cracks" in the whites of my French, (not to mention other things)...Called first thing Friday am, left a message stating exactly what was wrong-no call back yet, (it's now Sunday). Definitely not worth the $$$!!!! I'm a licensed cosmetologist, and I would NEVER let someone walk out feeling like they just got butchered, instead of pampered!!!!‍ I will continue to do my own manis & pedis now, (because I PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL)!!!! read more

My favorite nail salon in the area. Almost always able to take me right away as a walkin. Don't know why it isn't more crowded, and I don't understand why they only have 3 Stars as I think they do a great job. I've gotten several manis and pedis here. Got my first gel mani a week ago and it still looks fabulous (pic included in review is 7 days after service). Only downside I can think of is that the parking situation can be a little tricky/tight. read more

I was very happy with my first visit to this nail salon. I went at 4pm on Friday before a long weekend, walked in without an appointment and was able to get a pedicure right away. I went with the basic pedicure and she did a great job removing my calluses and fixing up my big toenail that had a partial horizontal break near the end. I was there about an hour and it was steadily busy but not crowded. I can see how parking could be tough but it wasn't this time. Will be back! read more

WORST MANICURE OF MY LIFE. Took over an hour for a gel French and charged more than I've ever paid before. I will NEVER be going back.

I really hate to ever leave a bad review, but this was my 2nd time at this nail shop and both experiences were just very bad. The first visit they had me in a pedicure and kept getting up to answer the phone now today's visit I'm with my daughter and we are both getting pedicures and whenever a new customer would walk and the women got up from my daughters service to help and then while in the middle of the massage a woman walked in to get an eyebrow wax and she got up to take her. I asked if she could please finish the service for my daughter before taking the client and she responded it would only take 2 minutes. I'm usually very patient, but it did not take 2 minutes... it took a little over 8 minutes. I was done with my pedicure and waiting for my daughters pedicure to be finished. The person giving her the pedicure sat back down to continue and skipped the massage... this is actually my daughters favorite part, but another client had walked in asking for a pedicure so she tried to rush her. When we were finally over drying our nails my daughter mentioned that her big toe felt burning and she had a pretty deep cut. This is rude, unprofessional and very disappointing. We came in together to receive the service at the same time. I understand you don't want to turn away business, but if you are working with 3 people on a Saturday and your this busy maybe you need some more help. I will not be returning as a customer or recommending this shop. read more

I have been going here since Mie' opened --I have pink and white nails done there every two weeks. Have never had to return for a nail falling off or a redo. My nails always last two to three weeks. This is the cleanest nail salon I have ever been in. Never had a problem with having my nails removed or being rushed at any time. The relaxing atmosphere they have created is one of the main reasons I go here. I am a diabetic where cleanliness, careful cutting and nail removal has to be key for me. I also take two seniors there in their late 90's for pedicures every few months. They are always treated so special by the staff and look forward to each appointment. I highly recommend Ideal Nails. OUCH! Dropped in for a gel pedicure, and got taken in right away. When the woman filled the tub, it was HOT! Didn't ask me if the temp was ok - I tried to tough it out but finally had to say something. She walked away, but another woman heard me and added some cold water while my bright red feet rested above. When she pushed my cuticles back, I was convinced there would be blood - it was very forceful and rough; I kept flinching. The exfoliating and scrubbing felt like a power sander, and it seemed like she couldn't wait to be done. I normally enjoy the entire process; this one was painful. In the midst of all this, she got up to take cell phone calls, and deal with other customers. At one point, a woman came in for her appointment and was told there was no one available. I felt bad - they shouldn't have taken so many walk inside (there were others after I came in) if they knew they had someone coming in. She finally got to putting the polish on and I could feel the tops of my feet burning IN CONTACT with the UV light...I have never had that problem before. I kept moving my feet but she kept pushing it back down on top of them. Polish is sloppy at best. $50!!!!!! WAY too much. There are many other options around - stay away UPDATE: I have since discovered four bruises...one on my foot and three on my lower leg. They were definitely from the pedicure. Nothing else could have caused these today. read more

I went to Ideal for the first time the other day, deciding to take a break from my usual salon. At the beginning of the appointment, I needed some older gel to be taken off first, which I assumed would be done using the common and safe acetone/cotton ball method. I was very wrong. When I sat down, the technician took out the drill usually used for acrylic nails to drill the polish off. Before this could start, however, the technician began to pick the polish off with her fingers, peeling it off. This was not only unsafe as it ripped off the top layer of my nails, but unsanitary as well. As the appointment went on, she took out the cuticle cutters and began to dig deep into my cuticles. Three of my fingers began to noticeably bleed, and the only comment the technician said was "I had a lot of dry skin around my nails." Finally, at the end of the manicure, the polish was noticeably messy and dried onto my skin. At the register, I politely asked that even though I wasn't sure if it was blood or my auburn nail polish that it be removed. When she returned from her work station with what I thought would be a cotton ball and alcohol, she began to dig under my skin with the cuticle cutters to remove excess nail polish. I quickly said that was enough and left before I could bleed anymore. I went in with high hopes, but was very disappointed. My cuticles are raw and swollen, and I don't intend on returning here again. read more

terrible. beyond terrible. first time ever customer - took 3 hours to have my pedicure and tips /gel manicure. had to get one nail done TWICE because of a hair underneath the gel nail. nails started separating within TWO days after getting put on. TWO nails completely fell off in less than a week and FOUR others began coming off. on top of that, i came back in after returning from vacation. (a week and a half after having the nails put on) to get them taken off and the woman ripped off half of my real nail as well and i was in pain and bleeding in their store. on top of even that, the owner scolded me for losing a customer while i was in there for my issue. even on top of all of these things, i'm getting married in less than a month and now am in fear of having horrible nails for my pictures. terrible service. save your nails and your money!!! read more

I found this place one night this past summer after putting up with below average service at another local nail place. They got you in and got you out as fast as they could. At Ideal Nails, they pay meticulous attention to their work. I am a big fan of Lisa, who does the tips and alot of the artwork. She does a great job and I have been going back every two to three weeks for my manicures and pedicures. In fact, I am heading there after work tonight! I have also had Henry and another young girl whose name escapes me and they also do wonderful work. My last manicure was over two weeks ago and they have not chipped at all, but they are growing out so I want them done again. Their prices are very reasonable and I think I was paying more at the other salon, for not half as good results. Big fan of Ideal Nails! read more

Awful experience! Was getting a gel manicure asked for round shape. Started with long nails ended with no nails and square shape if you can even call it that. I left with no color or anything on my nails. They still charged me. I called to say that I didn't want to make a seen in front of other customers but I shouldn't have been charged. I was told "we cut cuticles, that why you get charged". I will never give them business again. read more
