Not sure how long this place has been open but it is awesome. The food is incredible. The bartender, waiter and greeter - Paul, was a great host. I watched people come in and out and if they had been there before he remembered their drinks and was non-stop checking in with people and making sure everyone was good. It was extremely clean and I'm pretty sure at this place you can request a menu mod and they will welcomingly accommodate you. There was a birthday greeting for a customer and everyone got involved. The best Mexican food in Beaufort. The fish tacos and fajitas were amazing! My hubby got something that I forget the name but it includes cactus and it was so much food it could've fed both of us. And super delicious! Don't understand the negative reviews. We don't drink so I can't comment on the bar but the food is top notch. We love having Paul as our server. He knows our names and says hi to us when we come in. It's definitely one our favorite places to eat out! read more

Had potential. Nice staff, festive decor, huge menu, but ugh the food. I ordered the carnitas, the slowly simmered pork butt, which is supposed to fall off the bone and is then crisped in lard. The portion size was huge. There were eight to ten chunks of meat, which seriously could have made a dozen tacos. As I went in for the bite, my fork and knife were useless against the toughness of the pork. Even after chiseling off a small portion, my throat hurt after trying to swallow a dried up piece. Absolutely inedible. I tried to get the wait staff's attention, but to no avail. Our server took it off the bill, but didn't seem concerned about telling the kitchen that what they were serving was hunks of jerky. Carnitas is a ubiquitous part of Mexican cuisine. The fact that they couldn't prepare this dish right, makes me question the talent of this kitchen and the quality of the rest of the menu. read more

My husband and I love the food here, however, the service is usually another story. Tonight was no exception. The teenage girl at the register was very rude and dismissive. The server that we seem to get EVERY TIME we're here is a blonde, white woman. She's AWFUL every single time!! She doesn't pre-buss. She let's other server's do it for her. She's given us the wrong order on numerous occasions (tonight too). She's obsurdly slow and she's not personable at all. Tonight, I tried to ask the teenager I mentioned, for the manager, she said ok. Then never got him/her. I just don't get it! The other server's all seem very tentative and friendly. We're just never lucky enough to get any of them. Sadly, this may have been our last visit. Two bad apples CAN spoil the whole bunch! read more

Recently came to the new Lady Island location and had a WAY BETTER experience. Literally the first two minutes with, Paul our server, was wayyyyyyyy better than the previous 3 times at the beaufort location, two of which we had some younger 20 year old waitress. We were about to give up on mexican restaurants around this area but decided to try the new location and WOW i would completely recommend it to anyone, especially Paul as the waiter! His customer service and personality was amazing the entire time, not just to my table but surrounding tables. The young lady at the beaufort location was short, snappy, rolling her eyes, and came by the table twice - to take our order and give us the check. read more

This is one of my favorite Mexican cuisine !! The chef made a special hot sauce that was amazing. Great Smokey flavor with a nice kick of heat at the end. I had the chicken chimichanga Parmesan and it was delicious ! Paul was amazing and he will customize a cocktail that satisfies your tastebuds. Also try the queso carne!! Got there early. Only people in large room. Great service. As the room filled everything went downhill. Chips were cold and salsa bland. Fish tacos were so-so but with a very fishy taste. Worst meal we've had at a restaurant in years. They managed to ruin three plates of food. I ordered the ribeye with onions and tomatoes, medium. I got a very well done liver. My daughter's shrimp quesadillia was swimming in grease. It made her sick to her stomach. My wife's order was the least incorrect of the three. It wasn't what she ordered, but it was bland. We waited longer to get the check than we did to get, and eat, our food. At one point (while waiting for the check) a waiter started unloading the adjacent table's order onto our table. To top it all off, when I tried to tell one of the managers about our experience, she completely gaffed me off. This place has taken a nose dive over the past few months. We will never step foot in that establishment again. Do yourself a favor, hit the taco bell drive through. Better service and better food. read more
