This place is really nice. I stopped here are a hike. It has ample seating tables and booths. They have an extensive selection of usual Mexican fare. The chips were crunchy and fresh made and the spice on salsa well balanced. the horchata portion was generous. i had the vegetarian quesadilla and the veggies had an excellent grille flavor. my friends steak burrito and chicken verde enchiladas were excellent too. Im sure coming back when in the area.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. I wish, I wrote a review the first time I came here and it is becoming a little bit of a tradition every time I am visiting Northern Georgia. My favorite meal from here is the chicken soup. The menu mentions a Mexican style chicken soup. It has shredded chicken, tomatoes, cilantro, and avocado. I have never tried avocado in my soup, but the combination including the broth hits the spot. The large soup comes with a flauta which was delicious too (taste really good with guacamole). As you wait for your food the chips and salsa are delicious, probably the best that I have tried. The service was excellent, everyone is friendly. The restaurant is located on the same building of a hotel, so do not let that deter you (I said it's a hidden gem). Inside the restaurant, it is your typical regular Mexican restaurant. It's not loud and crowded. I have always eaten my food comfortably here. If you are ever in Clayton, Georgia and looking for something to eat. This is the place to go.

Located on the main highway through Clayton in same building as a hotel. You cant miss it, busiest intersection in town.

Ive been driving by often for three years so finally decided to stop in for dinner. They have a large menu with just about everything Mexican you can think of. When I walked in the guy at the register said sit anywhere you want. I like that. Sometimes you want to read, look out the window, and often when they seat you at places they seem to seat you in the worst possible spot. I noticed a big dinner for I believe it was $11.99 that had an enchilada, tamale, relleno, tostada, taco, rice, and beans. I felt if I want to see what they can do here that would give me a taste of several. You can add a 16 oz draft beer of 4 different beers for $2.00 to any dinner entre. So I did that too! Overall it was good. I am rating it compared to the competition. If I was in a border state it would be a 3 star at best, but since in GA and NC its next to impossible to ever find a really good Mexican restaurant, this place is above the norm so rated it a 4 star. The tamale was the highlight! So often a tamale is all masa (dough) as you bite through it looking for whats in the middle. Then you find a smidgen of meat. Here the meat was all the way through the whole tamale, so thats a big plus! Aim to try that if you come here. The booths are terrible, that back cushion, if you can call it a cushion hits your back and the tables slide and the whole thing is very uncomfortable. Avoid the booths.

This is a good Mexican restaurant. The food was great. I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken on Rice and Queso. Rice was amazing. The service was a bit on the slow side, and the restroom stalls have no locks. Other than this, though, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area.

Foods good reasonable price I'm surprised of all the negative comments we go there frequently. It's always been good and the takeouts fast.

Chips were cold and chewy and salsa tasted strange. Food just wasn't good and nothing was hot.

Everything we ordered was good for our party of 8. The portion sizes are huge. Our waiter was very attentive and the food came out quickly.

This diner is located in a back street, next to a market and close enough to a strip mall with restaurants. It's a quiet place although lots of people come in and out. We sat down, got our coffee, ate our meals, and wondered if we could eat more. The food was so tasty that we really wanted to take more food with us. I had a chicken fried steak and my gf had an omelette. Every table around us was busy eating, we were not the only ones who appreciated this food. For a humble place with delicious food, the prices were average. The coffee could use a little help, as well as the A/C, but all in all, it was a win for us hungry bears.

Friendly staff greeted us as we walked in. The waiter promptly arrived and brought chips and the house salsa to our table, and most of them were broken and looks like they took from the bottom of the barrel. The salsa bar was a nice addition so you could have various flavors. We ordered a regular and watermelon margaritas and they were not good, no taste of tequila at all. I was surprised at this since other reviews said great drinks. So far two strikes against them. I was starting to regret coming here since there are many good Mexican places in town, but things changed quickly. Our second basket of chips was much better, and once we received our food orders I was very pleased. I ordered Chili Rellenos and they were fantastic, much better than I've had in many other places. My wife ordered the 4 enchiladas platter and it was beautiful, plenty of chicken and fillings, with tasty sauces on each type. It was so big the rice and beans had to come on a separate plate. I normally prefer refried beans over the rice for side dishes, but that rice was very flavorful which was surprising to me since most are bland. My son had the seafood burrito and he said it was very good with a lot of seafood. It filled him up, which is an accomplishment in itself. All the portions were large and prices were very reasonable. Our waiter provided great service. He didn't speak English very well but no points were taken off for that. He knew enough to do his job. Their health scores were also very high, which was why we chose this place over others in the area we normally chose in the past. I would rank this place up there against any of the other local Mexican restaurants and hope they do well. At the time of our visit, the Ingles in Cashiers had coupons on the back of the receipt, so you can save a few bucks on the already very reasonable prices there.
