This is a tough one. We were warmly welcomed in, treated quite well. Drinks and nachos brought out without delay. While my meal was absolutely delicious, my wife ordered hers without onions; she cannot eat onions. Her dish had onions. Instead of remaking it, the server argued about it. She pointed them out, he took the dish away again, then came back with the same plate, just with the contents stirred up; and while leaning over her plate, used a knife to pick through the dish and argue over what is, or is not, an onion. She said just take it away, sure doesn't want it, and sat there while I ate. Had they at the very least took the plate back, dug out the onions, covered it with fresh cheese, run it through the broiler, then brought it back, we'd be none the wiser. Quick & friendly service for lunch. I appreciate that lunch is extended until 2:30 especially on the weekend. The food was good enough when you're really hungry. Food was bland and not authentic. Read the dictionary's definition and... it says a stuffed poblano pepper not a green bell pepper. Tacos were just meat and lettuce. Rice was almost white with no tomato flavoring. The chalupa looked like a tostada. I am allergic to sour mix and what a disaster trying to order one with lime and orange juice.... Typically a traditional margarita. I asked for salt and it seemed the waiter did not understand! Seemed they were so angry that the 3rd margarita was all lime juice. We were visiting and decided to try this local Mexican restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we did not receive a warm welcoming. The gentleman who is attending to us had a very poor demeanor. Then a woman came over to take our order and everything was extremely rushed. I ordered a margarita that supposedly was 28 ounces., the glass that was delivered to me was no more than 12 ounces. When I questioned this, I was told that it's not his restaurant and I got exactly what I ordered. We asked for our check and multiple staff members just halted at us from the Kitchen corner. When I went to the register another gentleman rang us up and tried to explain that I had received the margarita that I ordered. I'm not doubting that I did receive what they called the "jumbo", but I was being charged for a 28 ounce beverage, which I did not receive. I did order the guacamole, which was mostly tomatoes, and we received the salsa and chips which tasted like tomato soup. In my opinion, it's hard to mess up a Mexican restaurant, but I would never return here! read more

This is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. It was bland and flavorless. I don't think they know what seasonings are, and I don't think they ever heard of cilantro. The salsa tasted like pureed tomatoes, and there wasn't any salt, pepper, or any other herbs or spices, and I couldn't taste any onion. I had a cheese quesadilla that was nothing but monterey jack melted in a tortilla. The service was not much better. I asked for some hot sauce, and they brought me a bowl of something. I asked for a bottle of hot sauce, and they finally brought me a bottle of Mexican hot sauce about 10 minutes later. read more

Requested chips and salsa a third time before it was brought to our table and then we were not even provide with a bowl to pour the salsa into for dipping. Stay away from the chili rellenos; they are nothing mire than hamburger topped with bland cheese and a chunk of chili--nothing stuffed with anything. I sent it back but was charged anyway. The salsa is blended and not great; we bring our own. The chunky guacamole is excellent but, like all of their food, lacks spice. The blended guacamole is institutional and not great. Service is pathetic. We always call ahead, they are very difficult to reach by phone. When I go to pick up the order, it is it difficult to get their attention to even let them know I am there. They are too busy playing on their phones and talking. Used in several minutes at the cash register trying to tell them that you're there to pick up an order. Then you pay, get no commitment on when it will be ready, and end up waiting 10 or 15 minutes. This is even after you called ahead 30 minutes to reach them. They do make a great meal, but you better be prepared to have really poor service call my bad attitudes, and the feeling that You are making their day difficult just because you wanted your food. read more

Great experience. (We are visiting from LA) All the staff is incredible. The food is on point. Juan was our server and he literally was Juan-derful!!! My GF wanted to come for the queso dip that she had as a kid in Arkansas. She was over the moon about it. We had some Don Julio shots and some skinny marghs, they were delightful. The Chile Relleno was pepper and ground beef with cheese melted on top - not what I'm used to. We prefer the ones that are actually a pepper, stuffed with cheese and fried. I got a totaguac. It was a corn tortilla fried, with rice, lettuce, cheese, guacamole and a slice of tomato on top. The combo came with rice, which was OK. For dessert, we ordered sopapillas. They were not what were used to, either. It was a flour tortilla, fried, with what tasted like a lot of margarine and a little cinnamon and maybe some honey on top. Really pleased to find authentic Mexican food in Clayton, GA. The regular guacamole is watery but the Mexican style guacamole was amazing and so fresh. Our group ordered the shrimp fajitas (great, fresh, tons of shrimp), chicken and beef chimichangas (lightly fried, packed full of meat), and enchilada supreme dinner (more food than we could finish). We went to eat at this restaurant today and I ordered the Shrimp Taco Salad. When it arrived I tried the shrimp and it was terrible. It tasted old and had a very strong fish taste. So when we checked out we told the man running cash register that the salad was awful and he was very rude and said nothing is wrong with the shrimp. My family and I have been eating here for years and have made friends with the owner and never had a problem as my husband has a severe shellfish allergy. Tonight my husband and I went and got him a burrito deluxe to go and after having my husbands order messed up twice already, then the owner and waiter assuring him that his food WAS COOKED AWAY from any traces of shellfish, my husband had a severe reaction after eating half of the food as we were driving towards Franklin to go to a movie. I turned around immediately and went straight back to restaurant and asked if I could receive a refund with the receipt AND food in hand and the owner was very quick to start raising his voice and causing a scene. He picked through the food and said he was NOT giving me a refund since all of the burrito wasn't there and humiliated me as I was asking him simple questions. He told me that even after they had told my husband that everything was cooked separately that it was not and told me that he had 16 hard working men in the back who don't change a thing. This conversation went on and on but I told him that I was never coming back to his restaurant and he threw his hands up and said "THANK YOU". Also, this was all during the time that a customer was with me at the counter waiting for his to go order and with a busy night full of people in the restaurant. Hubby had a steak burrito that was delicious and I had a regular bean burrito with the white cheese on it and it was Great! The salsa is very good especially with the white cheese Mixed with it!
