I think that an employee stole my credit card number. I was visiting town for three days to do some business. My last night I ate here. I thought it strange when the server/owner/manager sat down to ask me about my work while someone was processing my bill. When I got home I logged my receipts and discovered my credit card was charged for over $1000 at another business at almost the same time my card was run for my meal. I did some research and there seemed to be a connection between the restaurant and the business that made the fraudulent charge. I hope that this is not what happened but I will not return for a meal the next time that I am in town. read more

Great spot every time. Their shredded beef and chicken are both amazing--full of flavor and consistently good. The service is always great, whether dining in or picking up to-go. My husband is in Hermiston for work and decided to eat here and ordered shrimp cocktail which came in the form of a soup. Were from Texas and shrimp cocktail is NOT hot it's cold. My husband sent the food back because it's not what he wanted, again shrimp cocktail is cold not hot. He proceeded to order something else and at the end of the meal they included the cocktail he did not eat on the ticket. Living in Phoenix you would think I would be surrounded by great Mexican food, but sadly it's really hard to come by. This was a wonderful experience, with fantastic service, a nice location and really good tasting food. I think it's just the quality produce that is grown around here. Visited La Palma for dinner last night and will certainly be back. It is far from the best Mexican food I've had but it is well rounded and may be the best sit down spot for mexican food in Hermiston. The mole enchiladas were uniquely good in flavor but the sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to. The flautas were crispy, the chicken wasn't dry and the guacamole was fresh tasting and complemented them well. The best part was that with such excessive inflation on most prices, La Palma has stayed around $10-$12 for these dishes. My one real complaint is that the rice was disappointing with solid flavor but some dry or undercooked grains that threw off the whole dish when I encountered them. My impression was that it was not freshly made and probably reheated and old rice. My experience was teetering between 3 and 4 stars but with better rice that could have been pushing 5 stars. read more

Maybe I was just hungry, doing the Keto diet, but the Carne Asada here was amazing. I had them hold the rice and beans and instead they gave me salad with a side of ranch dressing. No charge for the substitution. The steak was seasoned and cooked beautifully. Perfect Keto meal. Best food I've had in Hermiston. I left an amazing review for this restaurant 10 years ago. I am changing my review. The service has consistently gone downhill, you aren't checked on, and no one even smiles in this place lol now the prices are ridiculous and you have to pay for extra bowls of chips and salsa beyond the first now. I've never heard of that in a Mexican restaurant ever! I know times are hard but wow. The restaurant is nice though, I'll give them that. We have begun going to a different restaurant in town because of these changes the last 7 years or so. It was a loss we've had to mourn as we loved La Palma! read more

Walked in at 4:30 and it wasn't busy but took almost 20 minutes before anyone even came by. Then they brought chip and salsa but no water. After we finally were able to order it took 15 minutes for mine to come out but my husband's took another 5 minutes. Food was so so. Seems to be a theme as last time it took forever also. Went last night for dinner with a large group of 9 and was able to be seated right away even though it was busy. The food came quickly and service was outstanding. I eat out with my 12-year-old daughter and she write the review. The general atmosphere is your classic Mexican style (lots of tera cotta, oranges and various vermillion tones) it was very busy when we got there (around 1:30) but was only a few minutes before we were seated. I ordered the rolled tacos (or to taqutios) with shredded beef. They were quite good, just the right amount of soft and crunchy, but were a little bland. I don't like the extra stuff touching my tacos and they brought it out right. My friend had tortilla soup and he said it was good. The Waite staff was nice and professional. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in town. Customer service is outstanding, food is mind-blowing, and I can't even say enough good things about the remodel. A beautiful place to sit down and have an excellent dinner with friends and family. They will bend over backwards to help a disabled customer be comfortable as well. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my college graduation, each and every staff member came to the table to congratulate me on the accomplishment. I recently had back surgery and when we were in the other day the manager, who we've known for years in business, came to check on me to make sure that everything was okay and then they were doing everything in their power to make me comfortable. They have no problem customizing something on the menu to your tastes and desires, and I've never had a bad meal or experience in this restaurant. Been coming to Hermiston for work multiple times per year for the last 10 years. I usually go to ixtapa Mexican restaurant down the street.. until today someone at the hotel told me about this place. I'm a sucker for enchiladas en mole. They have the best flavor in their sauce. The wait staff was very friendly and I got my meal quickly. I love Mexican food and have had it in several states. I had steak fajitas and the flavor was different than what I'm used too. It was good but not as good as Texas. The refried beans were good but rice was bland. The margaritas are fantastic and strong! I would come again for the margaritas, but not sure the taste of the food would bring me back. read more

I went here with my sister and a friend from out of town this past weekend. I have to bump the rating from 4 stars to 5 because their food is that awesome. It definitely hits the spot. If you find yourself in Hermiston, your options are no doubt limited. While you can certainly stick with Subway or Dominos for something edible, I'd highly recommend a stop here for some less processed cuisine. The fresh guacamole is really quite good. I enjoyed the chili spice in there; I've never tried that myself. Also, the enchilada mole is a good ol' standby, and the chicken was quite moist to boot. The service was horrible and the waitress was very disrespectful when I let her know the taco was to greasy and I will not eat it. Nicely remodeled and comfortable. The full bar has great selections of flavored margaritas. We ordered the fish tacos and the mole enchiladas. Both were excellent. The salsa has some life!
