New favorite breakfast place in town? I think so! The service was great and the foot came out quick. It is a walk up order bar and then you take the number to your table. The French toast was decadent and did not need maple syrup as it was the perfect sweetness. The croissant sandwich was fantastic. The butteriness and lightness of the croissant with the egg bacon and cheese hit the spot. Such a cute little spot we had been always mentioning to stop and finally made it happen!

Went for lunch on a workday and order the French onion soup and tuna salad sandwich. You place your order at the counter and are given a number to place on your table for a server to bring out. I sat outside and it took about 20 minutes to have my food bought out. The soup was hot, the greens in the salad were fresh and the tuna was actually delicious. The French bread was a little hard for my liking though. The restaurant has a French theme (obviously) and there's indoor and outdoor seating.

La Parisienne is a unique spot to get coffee, a French pastry, and even a more substantial bite to eat for lunch. They are situated a little off the main strip of downtown which makes for a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Their outdoor seating is fantastic, and i appreciate their French themed interior that's mixed with local flair. I'd say their food is pretty average and won't leave you super impressed. Their sandwich flavors have great promise, but the amount of fillings they put on is no where near what you'd expect either for the price or for a filling lunch. Maybe that's just them being authentic? The service leaves much to be desired. General inattentive and sometimes a weird dynamic between the workers. Maybe that's also authentic French style!

We always come for lunch and breakfast, but finally made it in for dinner and it was AMAZING!!! We had escargot, mussels and steak tartare and everything was outstanding. Truly. Cannot wait to go back!!!!!

On atmosphere, this place ranks highly. A charming little space with indoor and outdoor seating. On service, less so; they asked me if I wanted my pastry warmed and then didn't actually do it when I said yes. It seemed like they were struggling with other tables so I didn't want to bother them. To be fair, though, my chocolate avalanche was perfectly delicious at room temperature. My mozzarella and pesto on a baguette was flavorful inside, but the baguette itself was a little dry. I was happy for the salad that came on the side. Overall, I come in with a mixed impression and kind of a 3.5 rating in my head, but it's holiday season and I'd back them to do better next time.

Eggs Florentine. Perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was incredible.

What an adorable little restaurant with a bakery attached. The food was delicious. It truly felt as we had slipped into a little cafe in Paris. Very friendly staff.

The owner left a very snarky reply to my previous review. I am taking away 2 stars due to this. Also, to the owner, I did not write my previous review the day it happened. I wrote it when I had time after the fact. You either had a twin at the restaurant or you had not left yet.

Stopped by after the Christmas parade.. Kitchen was closed by the time we got there so didn't get to try any sammies. It's a cute little cafe. I could tell they were busy earlier in the day since they were out of most bakery items. I have heard if you want to try something in particular then go early in the day. Got 5 macaroons- lavendar, vanilla, raspberry, funfetti, and rose. They were delicious and the reason it's 3 stars. When it comes to service, there was only 1 person manning the front so it was slow. I also ordered a caramel macchiato. They asked if I wanted any additional flavorings added, which i thought was a little odd since it should have caramel flavoring already. I later realized I should have taken them up on more flavoring because it tasted like warm milk with a splash of coffee/expresso. Ended up throwing most of it away after it got cold. Maybe I'll come back to try a crossaint but likely won't get coffee again.

Such a cute place! Everyone was kind and attentive, even though it was bustling with activity. The owner even stopped by our table to ask how our sandwiches were. Absolutely delicious! I had the turkey and my husband had mozzarella and both were perfection! The greens were fresh with a simple yummy dressing. Now let's talk about the chocolate avalanche.. We were lucky to get ours fresh out of the oven and my mouth salivates just thinking about the taste. We also waited for another batch to bring a couple home for our daughter. The cafe itself is full of pictures and memorabilia and there's a lot to see. We felt comfortable and relaxed. This will definitely be a go to spot for us!

We sat outside and were pleased with the location. The location surely had its charms. Relaxing, calming. Perfect environment for some much needed respite. The restaurant is situated on a quaint quiet street, across from some beautiful Charlestown style homes. We both chose Ribeye steaks and boy was I surprised. They were huge! We BOTH got our steaks grilled perfect! I was extremely impressed. I jokingly told the waitress they mush have a boxer working in the back, tenderizing the meat because the steaks were so tender I rarely used the knife. The steaks was incredible, just the right amount of searing, juicy, seasoned just right, and so flavorful. And get this, we received our steaks at the same time, right off the grill so our dishes were both hot. It had been such a long time since I had enjoyed a meal this much. My reservation of going again has absolutely nothing to do with this restaurant. Cost of living is getting high and the cost of a great dinner like at the Annapolitan will cost you. But if you want something special, it is worth it.

We arrived 10+ minutes before party of 5 and ordered our food before them and our food arrived at the same time as theirs along with the party of 3 that was there when we arrived. Needless to say my French toast was cold, I sent it back, they wanted to give me an order of French toast that clearly belonged to someone else, because it had caramel and apples and I ordered mine with strawberries. I said no thank you, I was good and didn't want any at all. Midway through my meal the guy brings out the French toast with strawberries, but the kicker is it wasn't freshly made but put in the microwave, because it was soggy. The strawberry compote tasted like it came out of a jar, and the French toast had one strawberry sliced in half on it. I gave 2 stars because the grits were decent and the crab cakes were okay, (to much mustard), they didn't have that Maryland style taste of Old Bay seasoning (I grew up in the area and frequent Lexington Market and restaurants, when I visit there, so I know the taste of good crab cakes). Sincerely very disappointed Mia

Every time we walk in, we're greeted with that warm, welcoming vibe in the historic Sylvan Building - it's cozy yet elegant, perfect for a special night out or just a really great meal. The food is outstanding: seasonal, fresh ingredients shine through in every dish, and the wine list is impressive (no surprise with their Wine Spectator award). We've tried a variety of plates over our visits, and nothing has missed the mark - always flavorful, beautifully presented, and satisfying. And speaking of tables , the chairs are super uncomfortable and you notice that as soon as you sit, hard and straight . We ordered from the special menu , but it was offerings from the regular standard menu . My husband had the flat iron steak w broccolini for extra $10.00 up charge . Steak was seasoned well but very small 6 oz portion . Broccolini was a mystery , served almost raw with charred ends. Was too tough to eat or cut with knife. I ordered the Beef short rib w Brussels sprouts and parsnips. The beef was flavorful, tasted exactly like crock pot roast . Agin , the Brussel sprouts were hard as a rock, literally! When trying to stick the fork into it , it flew off the plate ! I love al dente vegetables but last nights were extremely undercooked with NO flavor at all.Without seasonings Brussel sprouts can taste like dirt , and these did . When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!
