    Fall menu...got Cinderella

Small cafe located in a semi-residental area with other shops. Love the idea and location. Ambiance is nice and love the decor. Got the fall special Cinderella latte and it was good. They also offer bakery items, homemade quiche, and sandwiches. Didn't get any food but the white chocolate raspberry bar was gobbled up by the spouse so I didnt even get to try it! Pumpkin muffin was yummy. There were some menu items that's I'll have to come back and try for sure!

So I stayed in Aiken for two weeks and didn't want to try any other coffee shop. If I did, it was because I couldn't get out of the car because of kids haha. This cafe had the best coffee I've had in a while. It was so smooth and perfect. I could just taste the quality of the espresso beans and the skilled hands that made it. Their good was delicious too! The breakfast panini was just right! I loved the green onions that just lifted it to another level. The muffin was a high quality one too. I believe they are made in house, so very moist and tasty. The yogurt parfait wasn't just any regular parfait. They had all the fixings I expect but what made it just top notch was the browned sugar they add to the side. My daughter dumped all of it in. My turkey panini for lunch had a surprisingly good taste. It had some kind of sweet sauce that was just the perfect touch to balance it out. The service was great! And the cafe is so quaint! Perfect spot to bring friends to and hang out for a bit on a fall morning. Fireplace has some nice comfy chairs in front of it. The place is decorated with art from locals that are for sale. I was tempted to buy one myself.

Came on Black Friday hoping it might be Friday pastrami day but they didn't have any pastrami. The special was the roast beef panini which is what I ended up ordering and it was very good. Hubby got the chicken salad sandwich and kids ordered the Cuban and corned beef sandwiches. Everyone was happy with their selections. The village cafe is always a solid option.

I wasn't sure what to expect... you walk in and order from a counter. The man taking our order was super helpful and friendly. He told us they can turn any sandwich or panini into a salad.. Sold! They were excellent salads. The only issue we encountered is the outdoor seating was full (they only have four tables), and the noise level inside was deafening. The food was excellent, if I am back in the area I would elect carryout.

I've had a sandwich the chili, which the lemon aïoli is amazing. However, this post is about the apple cinnamon muffin, We're talking about a three dollar muffin that's crumbly on the outside yet delicate in the inside it's moist but crunchy I mean it dances around your mouth and satisfies each and every taste bud. Listen people this has to be a gourmet muffin because I didn't even mention the real apple pieces that's in the inside that's soft like one that would be an apple pie. This muffin was one of the best things I've had in a very, very very long time and it's only three dollars. I suggest you get up one morning and have an apple cinnamon muffin to start your day off right. Thank you so much to the chef that came up with this apple cinnamon muffin. I appreciate you this has definitely uplifted my day. Ohh yea the butter that comes with it a

Stumbled upon the place while looking to grab a quick bite for lunch. I was getting my order to go but noticed the place was almost at capacity and quite a few people seemed to be regulars. The most popular items must go quick as I had to go with my third options as they were out of my first and second choice. Staff is friendly but ask questions about the menu as at least for me information about specials or ordering options were not disclosed. I like that they support local farms and businesses and their food is definitely fresh and tasty.

My wife and I shared the smoked salmon BLT and the village Cuban.

Another random Yelp find on a recent road trip. They use local farmers and local businesses (butcher, dairy, breads) to make some flavorful sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts. Order at the counter, have a seat, and they'll bring your food to you. Fast service (at 1:45pm) and friendly staff. Eat in or take out. Outdoor seating on a patio is also available. Pro tip: If you'd like a tangy coleslaw, you got to try theirs. Pro tip #2: speaking of tangy, try their lemon square. Short bread base with a tart lemon topping. And pair it with a lavender latte. (You're welcome!)

Good food. Salads are fresh and crisp. Go on Fridays for the Rubin sandwich. You might go off your diet.

Dawn was an excellent server and pointed us in all of the right directions for our night out in Aiken, SC. Get the polenta fries and Brussels! My husband ordered the brisket grilled cheese, which was absolutely delicious, and I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were phenomenal at first. Unfortunately, a few bites in, I found a black hair in my food. Our server did apologize and immediately took the dish back to be remade, which I appreciated. However, I was honestly too grossed out to want to eat it again, and I wasn't given any option--whether to remake it or have it removed from the bill. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. No manager came over to apologize, and nothing was comped or discounted on the bill. It was clear the staff was aware of the situation, as several employees came out and repeatedly stared at us, which made us feel uncomfortable. I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. With better service recovery, this could have been a completely different experience. As it stands, it left a bad impression. I would consider giving them another chance, but only if situations like this are handled more professionally in the future.

VERY disappointed in afternoon tea at The Willcox Inn in Aiken, SC. Why? Because I didn't have it!…read more I was extremely disappointed in restaurant management when I was told today that afternoon tea was only served after 3pm. I had booked online reservations 7 days in advance, clicking on the 'Book A Table' button on the Afternoon tea link on the Willcox Inn website which took me to Resy Open Table page. The times showing supposedly for afternoon tea was 12, 12:30 and 12:45, so I chose 12:45 and typed in the note box specifying that this is for Afternoon Tea. It gave me the reservation time and sent an email confirming. I then CALLED Willcox Inn to confirm the date, time, number in party for AFTERNOON TEA, telling the lady who took my call that I was calling to confirm afternoon tea time for 4. The lady confirmed she had me down and repeated the details. So two sources confirmed an afternoon tea request, online and human. When I arrived at the dining room of the Willcox today at 12:05pm, early, I was told they only serve tea after 3pm. I was very upset, especially when it was the restaurant's fault for NOT specifying on the afternoon tea page that tea was only available after 3pm. We were told there was nothing they could do and they apologized. My friends and I had traveled from Evans, GA, forty-five minutes away to be told 'sorry, no tea', after I had confirmation from two sources. To make matters worse, we were told there were no tea foods, no scones, no tea sandwiches that could be served to us at 12:30 when everything would be available a few hours later at 3pm. The chef even came to our table to coldly state she could not prepare any scones as she had to feed other diners. The very least a manager could have offered to guests who had traveled distance and were denied what they were given confirmation for, was to comp a meal, and provide an explanation of errors on their website. I will never return to this establishment because they simply do not care about their customers. With today's use of social media, everyone is a reviewer. And this restaurant failed in providing good customer service, and failed in attempting to correct inaccuracies due to their negligence in advertising correct times for afternoon tea. Anyone who booked afternoon tea through this page should have their reservations honored, despite the restaurant's negligence. I do not recommend this restaurant.
