New favorite breakfast place in town? I think so! The service was great and the foot came out quick. It is a walk up order bar and then you take the number to your table. The French toast was decadent and did not need maple syrup as it was the perfect sweetness. The croissant sandwich was fantastic. The butteriness and lightness of the croissant with the egg bacon and cheese hit the spot. Such a cute little spot we had been always mentioning to stop and finally made it happen!

Went for lunch on a workday and order the French onion soup and tuna salad sandwich. You place your order at the counter and are given a number to place on your table for a server to bring out. I sat outside and it took about 20 minutes to have my food bought out. The soup was hot, the greens in the salad were fresh and the tuna was actually delicious. The French bread was a little hard for my liking though. The restaurant has a French theme (obviously) and there's indoor and outdoor seating.

La Parisienne is a unique spot to get coffee, a French pastry, and even a more substantial bite to eat for lunch. They are situated a little off the main strip of downtown which makes for a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Their outdoor seating is fantastic, and i appreciate their French themed interior that's mixed with local flair. I'd say their food is pretty average and won't leave you super impressed. Their sandwich flavors have great promise, but the amount of fillings they put on is no where near what you'd expect either for the price or for a filling lunch. Maybe that's just them being authentic? The service leaves much to be desired. General inattentive and sometimes a weird dynamic between the workers. Maybe that's also authentic French style!

We always come for lunch and breakfast, but finally made it in for dinner and it was AMAZING!!! We had escargot, mussels and steak tartare and everything was outstanding. Truly. Cannot wait to go back!!!!!

On atmosphere, this place ranks highly. A charming little space with indoor and outdoor seating. On service, less so; they asked me if I wanted my pastry warmed and then didn't actually do it when I said yes. It seemed like they were struggling with other tables so I didn't want to bother them. To be fair, though, my chocolate avalanche was perfectly delicious at room temperature. My mozzarella and pesto on a baguette was flavorful inside, but the baguette itself was a little dry. I was happy for the salad that came on the side. Overall, I come in with a mixed impression and kind of a 3.5 rating in my head, but it's holiday season and I'd back them to do better next time.

Eggs Florentine. Perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was incredible.

What an adorable little restaurant with a bakery attached. The food was delicious. It truly felt as we had slipped into a little cafe in Paris. Very friendly staff.

The owner left a very snarky reply to my previous review. I am taking away 2 stars due to this. Also, to the owner, I did not write my previous review the day it happened. I wrote it when I had time after the fact. You either had a twin at the restaurant or you had not left yet.

Stopped by after the Christmas parade.. Kitchen was closed by the time we got there so didn't get to try any sammies. It's a cute little cafe. I could tell they were busy earlier in the day since they were out of most bakery items. I have heard if you want to try something in particular then go early in the day. Got 5 macaroons- lavendar, vanilla, raspberry, funfetti, and rose. They were delicious and the reason it's 3 stars. When it comes to service, there was only 1 person manning the front so it was slow. I also ordered a caramel macchiato. They asked if I wanted any additional flavorings added, which i thought was a little odd since it should have caramel flavoring already. I later realized I should have taken them up on more flavoring because it tasted like warm milk with a splash of coffee/expresso. Ended up throwing most of it away after it got cold. Maybe I'll come back to try a crossaint but likely won't get coffee again.

Such a cute place! Everyone was kind and attentive, even though it was bustling with activity. The owner even stopped by our table to ask how our sandwiches were. Absolutely delicious! I had the turkey and my husband had mozzarella and both were perfection! The greens were fresh with a simple yummy dressing. Now let's talk about the chocolate avalanche.. We were lucky to get ours fresh out of the oven and my mouth salivates just thinking about the taste. We also waited for another batch to bring a couple home for our daughter. The cafe itself is full of pictures and memorabilia and there's a lot to see. We felt comfortable and relaxed. This will definitely be a go to spot for us!

Amazing food, some great French wines, the owner is a joy to talk to. A small gem hidden away in Aiken worth a visit.

Delicious French onion soup. I wouldn't recommend going for a workday lunch break, but rather for dinner or when you're not in a rush.

We enjoy our dinners there. Quaint, small with a French ambiance. Would love to hear Edith Piaf played during dinner :)

I contracted with them to serve during the entire reception time (4 hours) for 200 people. We did not hire for a dinner, but for hors d'oeuvre to be served to our wedding guests for the complete duration of the reception party after the ceremony. I heard from guests who were caterers in another city that there was not enough food for even 100 people on the serving tables. All of the food was gone before the wedding party finished photographs and first dances, so within the first hour of the reception, all of the food was gone. Guests reported to me that they witnessed Janet throwing away full trays of food into the garbage early in the evening. Food I paid for, thrown away before the end of the reception! There was supposed to be a going-away box for the bride and groom, but there was not. We were promised a gift card to the bride and groom to make up for it, but they never received it. We had to give them money to run through a fast-food place to get food after their reception. Neither the bride or groom got one taste of the foods they picked out for their reception. The bride and groom only got water to drink during their reception (except for their toast of Champaign). Water was supposed to be served and available to our guests in addition to tea and lemonade. But there was none. When guests asked for water because all of the tea and lemonade were gone, Janet was very rude to them and refused to serve them any water, including the water requested for the bride. Guests also reported to me that they heard angry loud voices coming from the kitchen belonging to Janet and her assistant. Sugar South was the worst part of my daughter's wedding. It has left horrible memories that mar the beautiful memories we should all have of our children's wedding. Even now, 8 months after my daughter's wedding, whenever someone talks to me about my daughter's beautiful wedding, they mention how horrible the catering and caterer were. I hear more and more stories from my guests of how awful the catering was. When I called Sugar South to express my grievances and request a refund, Janet hung up on me in mid sentence and refused to answer any of my subsequent calls. Stay away from these people!! They did not fulfill their contract; they are not friendly; they do not want to serve others; they will run away with your money; and hide from you when you express your disappointments in their food and "service."

Fun art work featuring local artists and eclectic decor make this a fun place to visit. Known for their catering and pastries, but probably the best French onion soup in town.
